But he’s not about to fly away and leave her to fight her way back alone this time. He’s willing to sacrifice it all to prove to her she’s the most important thing in his life. He just has to find a way to make her believe it.

Up and close look at the toll of having a husband who has spent his whole career active duty with the Navy SEALs.
Langley Marks was part Hawk's team in 2010 when everything hit the fan but was unable to actually go on the mission due to injuring his foot right beforehand. In each book in this series I like how we get that characters POV of the events that happened on that day. Langley was forced to just monitoring the mission from the communication shed all while feeling helpless when things went south.
Langley and Trish Marks have been the staple couple throughout the series. They've been married 15 years and have 3 kids. Through out the other books their house has been where many get togethers were held. Trish was always the first to help the new girlfriends/wives of the team to get settled. Along with an already full load of responsibilities, Trish also works full time as a social worker. From the outside looking in Langley and Trish look like the perfect couple.
Trish knew what she signed up for when she married a Navy SEAL and she has always tried to be the good military wife who supports her husband and doesnt add to his stress by complaining about the amount of time he is gone. But after years of having to deal with some heavy emotional issues along with raising 3 kids practically alone, one of whom is now an angry teenager, plus her casework doubling she's reached a breaking point. When a home welfare check goes bad and she is shot we get both her and Langley's view of the past 15 years of the up and downs of their marriage in flashbacks as she lies in a hospital bed fighting for her life.
Another emotional story in a great series about a team of great men and the women who love and support them even when sometimes that cross gets a little heavy to bear..
When I open a Team Heartbreaker book, I climb in and curl up to spend time with some of my favorite people. Teresa Reasor is an amazing writer who creates a highly tense and always believable world for her SEALS and their loved ones. Trish and Langley Marks have been a major part of that world from the beginning of the series; they are the heart of the group and with 15 years of marriage they set standard for the other SEAL families to strive to achieve. Life isn't easy for any family when one parent isn't around to support the spouse over half the time. In Breaking Point, Trish is exhausted from playing the role of full time mom and dad while working 60 hour weeks as a social worker who cares. Her son has hit that point where he is no longer the sweet boy he had always been and she has no idea how to handle his attitude or anger. She is angry! Angry that the man she loves isn't with her when things are bad and angry that she understands that he loves his job so she can't ask him to quit. Trouble comes to a head when she is in deadly danger on the job, but for once Langley is there when she needs him the most. The question is whether or not she can survive the danger and, if she does survive, whether or not his being there this time is enough.
The cover of this book is one of the most beautiful I've seen, which is actually why I grabbed this book and hoped to heck the blurb was accurate, because it sure won me. Don't let the word novella fool you. While this story is light on words, it's heavy on message and great characters. Trish is a dutiful Navy SEAL wife, perfect mother and keeps the family together while her SEAL Langley is away on deployments. All this while working a demanding full time job herself. She becomes tired, resentful and her world seems to come crashing down when one of her kids starts acting out. Langley is the perfect husband. He has two sets of vows to uphold - those he swore to his wife and the ones to the Navy and his Country. This story gave such a wonderful look into the life of a SEAL. They have families, they love their kids - they just happen to have jobs which require them to be gone more than they are home - and God forbid, some of the things they encounter while on deployment are horrific. Balancing that into a 'normal' life and marriage is tough and takes determination. I immediately connected with Trish and felt for her. I felt the same with Langley and was rooting for them to work things out. Just when they were at that fork in the road, something horrific happened. I won't give spoilers, but will say that sometimes you have to go through hell to get to heaven and appreciate what you have and what you could lose in a heartbeat.....
This book is SO good! I know I will re-read it many times. It shows great depth of the characters and situations and has some suspense also. It's a book with great heart!
An emotionally charged book. We know these characters so well , well we think we do until you go in depth to see their struggles. Great insight into Langley and Trish’s life. Love this series.
Such a light, enjoyable read. It was so good to touch base with the team. Wonderful to get detailed insight into Trish & Langley’s life and trials. Must read for fans of this series.
Not quite so much action in this book but so much heartache, angst, tenderness and determination to make a marriage, a partnership work. Really touching read and the hits of action were believable! Well recommended!
Once again Teresa Read or has done with this series a must read the couple Langley and Trish even though they have been married 15yrs they still have to work on their relationship. No matter what love wins with them can't wait for the next one.
