Love Me, Love Me Not, Volume 3 is a cute romance brought to us again by VIZ.
If you love adorable, fluffy romance and drama, this book is perfect for you! It's a super sweet high school, YA influenced romance. It's utterly adorable and kind of a guilty pleasure read.
Three out of five stars.
Thank you to NetGalley and VIZ for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
This manga series is getting better and better, as Io san has done it again!! I love the friendship, the romance, the fluff and the drama. The art is really good as well.
I do like Akari and Kazu but not as much as Rio and Yuna, so tbh my enjoyment is a bit lower when they come on scene. Still, I do love them too and love Akari's character and how she also grows and changes. But definitely this volume is very focused on these two and also the whole Rio thing with Akari which makes me kinda eh kskjdfifdfkjd that was so messy. I just want him to forget about her asap come on Rio. NEXT VOLUME!
This volume really amplified my desire to read this series. I love the connection brewing between our four main protagonists; not only does the author focus on the "love" interests, but she also makes sure to pay great attention to the friendships growing. It's a great blend of friendship and love. Rio is making me angry...but that just adds some "spice" to the story, which can never go wrong. SUPER stoked for volume 4!
Wooowwwww!
A great continuation of Akari and Yuna's friendship. We get more into their feelings when it comes to love and crushes in this volume. A lovely coming of age manga.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing the E-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Another volume that kept me going to the last page. The drama is getting thicker and I know that Rio is going to crack. I can already feel it. This ends in a cliffhanger that is pretty cruel and makes me want to pick up the next volume soon.
I have to take Sakisaka's series slowly because she is the absolute queen of angsty good reads - and Rio is definitely letting himself in for some major angst with this volume.
"If your feelings are true, that should be all that matters right?"
Oh my goodness, what are you thinking, Rio?! I'm SO bummed by his actions at the end! This is going to create so many weird feelings and situations moving forward and feel so bad for the other character involved. I get he's frustrated, but I definitely don't think it was his place to do what he did regardless of his own personal feelings. You can't call someone else selfish and then be selfish yourself, Rio.
On the flip side though, I continue to deeply love Yuna! However, I was surprised by how much I liked Akari in this volume! Not saying I haven't liked her, but I guess it seemed Yuna was more "shallow" at the beginning of this series because of her ideals, but she has really matured and is changing more and more. I am all here for that!! My heart is hurting for her though in how much she loves Rio and doing her best to be a friend/ally to him. I really don't know if I want her to be with him or not simply because it breaks my heart to see her so sad. :(
Going back to Akari though, I really felt she was relatable in this volume! I definitely don't think any person needs to change themself for their crush, but high school me would have done the same and would have said "whatever" to the idea of a guy I like dating a "pretend me." Kazu obviously would NOT want that and was glad that (maybe?) that Akari saw she should just be herself. Definitely cheering for her and Kazu because I think he has feelings for her and she very much does for him!
I really didn't like the ending because I was upset by Rio's choice so I knocked a star, but I really enjoyed the rest of this volume!
Actually, Akari and Rio aren’t real family so she thinks how to act in her family as a Rio’s sister. She can’t say anything what she really thinks. On the other hands, Rio doesn’t care well so he makes her angry. They are very complicated relationships. That’s why they can’t say honest feelings and hide own words.
