***The perfect blend of bondage, dominance, submission and love *** A very true statement for a very sweet story.
Emily and Professor Jake Ballard accidentally switch Kindled and by the time Emily notices and goes to the Professor to correct the mistake he is flipping through her books. Upon seeing what Emily is reading Professor Ballard gives her a command to see if she is serious about BDSM or if she's just a poiser.
I loved that Emily was a bit shy about certain things and that Jake helped her work through it. They definitely had chemistry both in and out of the bedroom.
I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
The Audition:
Allie needs help practicing for her entrance performance to get into Julliard and the only person capable of helping her is Nikolai whom she hasn't spoken to in six years. Well I can tell you that was a reunion that shocked the pants off of me. Nikolai is a strict Dom that wastes no time in getting Allie right where he wants her. I must say that the chemistry is right on the money with these two and I would love to see a follow-up book/novella to see how their relationship grows past this week together.
The book left me wanting more and that is the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars.

Lets start off by saying I am a big fan of Tara Crescent I don't think I have read a book of hers that I haven't enjoyed. Now that being said, I have to say this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE book of Tara Crescent's. This is the first time she has written anything dark and I personally hope she continues.
Kelly and Miles grew up next door to one another in Akron Ohio and even though he is five years her senior she always had a little crush on him. He moved to New York when he started his company and she moved to New York a few years later to follow her dreams in fashion. The always met for lunch and once a month they flew back to Akron so she can visit her mother (that is in a nursing home because she is suffering from Alzheimer) and he can visit his. During one of their lunches she makes a comment about "Billionaire Sex Clubs" so he reaches in his wallet and tells her to call.
Well, you know the rabbit hole that you fall into and can't find your way out of...that is Kelly. She wants to be used as a sex object, but one thing about getting a membership into Club Phoenix is that she has to have a watcher observe her sessions until membership is granted, this may or may not work into her favor. I will leave that for you to decide, as will Tara Crescent because there are two endings and you get to pick which one you want her to take. So of course I read the one that I wanted and then I went back and read the other ending. Both endings are great in their own ways it just depends on how you look at it. And I have to mention that "The Top Starts Spinning" and "The Top Keeps Spinning" is mentioned quite a bit and if you have seen the movie "Inception" you will understand why.
I know that I will be rereading this book, it was a quick extremely hot read.

A trip to the dark side.
This is not a nice slap and tickle sweet BDSM collection of stories. Take seriously the title of the first story - House of Pain. These stories focus on the sado/masochism part of BDSM. I do not recall if this came with any warnings, but I will tell you, if you are the least bit squeemis, pass on the collection. For the rest of us who don't mind delving into the dark side, this collection was . . . Words escape me.
House of Pain was mostly hot. There was one plot point that didn't sit well with me, but otherwise - wow! I thoroughly enjoyed Professor's Pet. Audition surprised me on some levels. These first three stories, although darker, we're actually kind of sweet romances. They had satisfying happy ever afters. That last story - Watcher - totally took me to the dark side. I even wanted to shout RED! That being said, I got it too. It was rather thought provoking.
If you don't mind a trip to the dark side, you will enjoy this collection too. Happy trails.

This was an ok read. It was a bit too BDSM-y for me. I start to get a little bored and I realise i am just not feeling the hotness.

It's completely mesmerizing. Four really different stories and it's still easy to connect with the characters.
I was curious why they enjoy what they do. Of course it's not the same as truly experiencing it but this will be as close to the scene as I will get.
When I read and kind of live through these fantasies, which might be real life to others, there isn't a question of whether I would like to try any of it: no.
I'm definitely more vanilla fan, except in the books I read.
I'd definitely recommend this collection!

These four stories were dark and sensuous and with RACK overtones, but never leaving you with the impression that SSC would be ignored. Very kinky indeed - just what you need on occasion.

The House of Pain
Sara wants pain, and ends up at a shop called the House of Pain, she gets to finally experience what her boyfriends have refused to give her. When Doug asks her to submit to him, she hesitates at first, but finally agrees to give it, and him a try. Sara keeps Doug at arms length because she is afraid she will fall in love with Doug and he will dump her. Wonderfully written and sexy characters that experience a few bumps in the road on their way to a lasting relationship. This is a fantastic BDSM romance with a happily ever after, I loved it!
The Professor's Pet
A mix up in the coffee shop and Emily is knocking on Professor Jake Ballards office door to return his Kindle and retrieve her own. Jake is a dom and has no use for wanna be submissive, so he challenges Emily to meet him at his home. Weeks pass and Emily has fallen for Jake but he seems to be pulling away from her. She meets a man who has shown an interest in her, Jake sees them together and walks away. Wow, sizzling hot BDSM scenes and the characters are well written and believable. Fantastic book!

Kelly has known Miles for years, they grew up together. At one time, when she was younger, she thought they would be perfect for each other, but Kelly has very dark desires and doesn't think Miles would understand or be able to give her what she needs. Kelly takes a long a nd painful journey, at first not aware that Miles is watching out for her, and finally realizes that she and Miles can balance the darkness in each other and bring some light into each others lives. This is a very dark BDSM read, the characters are absolutely fascinating. Fantastic book.

This is a collection of some of the authors stories from other collections, so I had read 2 of them but 2 were new and I enjoyed all of them all over again. Spanking, torture and punishment, all kinds of kinky BDSM shows up and makes a delicious appearance. My favorite book was The Watcher by far though they are all very good reads, 5 stars all the way!

You do want to read through the summary for each one to check to see if you have read it before, especially if you are a big fan of Tara Crescent books. This is a collection of four if her BDSM romances, not necessarily new books of her. I really enjoyed all four of them. Each one of them kept my attention, and I had a hard time putting it down. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy.

House of Pain: Sara followed her desires and searched a safe way to do so, which lead her to Doug. Together they explored the lighter side of BDSM and what he wanted and she wanted. They gave each other a release with a HEA.
Professor's Pet: Emily has a secret crush on Professor Jake Ballard, they have a night of introduction for Emily into the lifestyle, but later try again and Jake tests Emily's limits and finds she is more than willing as a submissive, but outside the bedroom very challenging and a nice change of pace in his life. Jake helped Emily overcome her shyness and feel the exploration of everything offered. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
The Audition: Allie's not handling her mom's death very well at all. She breaks ties with Nikolai but discovers she needs him to help her get her emotion back into her playing so she can fulfill her dream of getting into Julliard. Nikolai agrees to help her, but on his terms. He takes her out of her comfort zone so she can feel the music flow through her. He learns she is not a young kid anymore and wants to explore her more and more. Would like to know more of their relationship beyond the week they shared. Book ended with negotiating terms of their relationship.
