What if there was one man--one gorgeous, brilliant, sexy as hell man--who was meant for you?

Yeah, well, there isn't. Love is a hard slog up a snowy mountain infested with rabid cougars, and meant-to-be love is just a lie. I learned that the hard way when all my romantic dreams went up in smoke, and the boy I loved walked away without looking back.

Or so I thought...

***

Seven years ago Fate ripped me away from the only girl I've ever loved. Now Addie and I are snowed in at a romantic mountain lodge, drinking cocoa around the Valentine's Day tree, and there's no way I'm going to let her slip away from me again.

One way or another, I'll prove to Adeline that we belong together.

She might not believe in love, but I do, and I'm going to use every sexy, wicked weapon at my disposal to convince my girl we're meant to be.

The best part of trying to win the one who got away? I know exactly what makes her laugh, what makes her melt, and what makes her squirm...

Wow! Just Wow! I freakin’ loved this book so much!! I just adore the Magnificent Bastard Consulting series and I wish it wouldn’t end. They are so funny, lighthearted and sexy while still having some deeper story line and Nate and Addie’s story is no exception.

There was so much depth of character to our hero and heroine especially since they first met and bonded over a horror book and fell in love at ages 16 and 18. But after their one glorious summer together before college, they did not see each other again for 7 years. Fate steps in and brings them together again. We find out as they talk things out from their past, that significant events had transpired that neither of them ever knew about the other and I certainly didn’t expect either one. I really enjoy when there is some unpredictability thrown in to surprise me. Because we all know they will get their HEA but it is the journey to that point that really matters. This was a heck of a journey.

Nate and Adeline aka Pretty Devil and Einstein are truly meant for each other. Such interesting things happen when they are together. This couple is so special and I love them together. They might just be my favorite from the series, which to me means that Lili saved the best for last.

I felt a wide range of emotions reading this. Of course I laughed because, romantic comedy, but I also felt happy, I cried, swooned, got angry and yes even got the chills a few times. Especially loved those chilling times, just sooooo good! I am simply floored at how every single one of this author’s books is so incredibly awesome. 5 + stars again Lili Valente!!

Another great read by Lili Valente.
Talk about two people who were meant to be...Addie and Nate were definitely that couple.
I loved their story...Addie is the nice, sweet, kind, patient girl who I was wanting to get a happy ending. Addie was just a baby when her worlds feel a part, but she grew into a beautiful young women who deserved better then what life offered her.
Nate was just a young boy himself when a chance encounter with a smart lipped, pretty girl with glasses crossed his path. Those two fell fast for each other, but life had other plans for them both.
Call it fate, chance, happenstance, or just plain old meant to be...they found each other again. Will Nate and Addie give their love a second chance to grow or will all the weird and unexplained things that happen to them along the way stop them from truly being with each other.
I especially love the text archives convos that make their way in to this story. If you are looking for a great, sexy, read then look no more...pick up Meant For You!!!!!

A Phantasmic, Sexy, and Romantic Second Chance at Love that will give you shivers of more than one kind. "Meant For You" is a novel in the Magnificent Bastard family. The heroine's Adeline, the beleaguered companion for the demanding old lady who lives in Shane's apartment building. The hero's the latest "Magnificent Bastard" in training, Nate. In "Incredible You" Adeline obviously recognized Nate and wants Shane to remain tight-lipped about it. Lili Valente gives the reader a playful, sexy, and heartbreaking prologue detailing their history. We find out later how tragic it actually was. This novel is different from other Magnificent Bastard novels in a couple of ways. One element is in regard to the danger that the heroine finds herself. No one is out to get her, per se, but she finds herself in a variety of life threatening situations. There are outrageous and lovable secondary characters.
I adore Lili Valente's Magnificent Bastard "universe". "Meant For You", I believe, is my favorite. I love Nate and Addy's backstory and they are a fantastic hero and heroine combo. Addie's been through a lot, but she's extremely strong and resilient. Nate recognizes what he's been missing all of these years and doesn't hesitate to get it back. The secondary characters are absolutely phenomenal! The storyline is wonderfully sexy, romantic, and unusual, especially for Valentines Day. Lili Valente knows her way around a sexy sex scene. I've said it before, she writes Rom/Com as well as she writes BDSM, and New Adult. That is, she writes it all amazingly well. Addy and Nate's backstory is a lovely ballet, later you see it's a tragic train wreck. Their current story is written by Fate itself. I cannot tell you how much I think you should read this book. Go. Buy. Read.

Unfortunately, this one didn't work all that well for me. The writing was fine and it moved along at a nice pace. It was just ALL over the place storywise for me.

I didn't particularly like either Nate nor Addie. I'm usually not overly bothered by people (99% of the time the hero) moving on after a separation, but in this instance, I found it extremely annoying that 18-year-old Nate who claimed he was SOOO in love with 16 years old Addie moved on to have a fabulous career and sleep with a bunch of OW. Meanwhile, Addie loses EVERYTHING. Family, her scholarship, her whole flipping LIFE and ends up this sad doormat of a person. Not to mention I KNEW what her secret was going to turn out to be. I hoped I was mistaken, but nope, same cliché scenario as a million other books.

On top of that I just never bought that Nate LOVED her as much as he claimed he did. Because if he did, one would think he would have tried to find her in the 7 years they were separated. She didn't change her name or was in hiding for heaven's sake.

description

Going back to this being all over the place storywise, this book could decide if it was a second chance romance or a paranormal romance. The whole scene near the end with the cabin was so bizarre and confusing. It left me rolling my eyes. Lastly, I found the pages and pages of text messages between all the characters distracting and honestly a little tedious to get through.

So as you can see this one just didn't work all that well for me. Maybe you will enjoy it a lot more, so don't let me review sway you too much. ;D

SIDE NOTE: I have a HUGE pet peeve about book covers not matching the hero (or heroine) in the books they are supposed to represent. This is another example where the cover makes you think you are getting one thing and you get another. Nate was in no way, shape, or form a suit wearing hero. That cover screams "billionaire or CEO or businessman."

“I have a thing for eighties horror. How about you?” “Oh, I have a thing for everything. I like to push my reading boundaries, explore it all.” She shrugs as she lifts a small boot, rolling her ankle. “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious, right?” I blink, surprised again. “Einstein?” Her eyes glitter as she laughs. “The pretty devil knows his quotes.”

Holds hands up in surrender. I gave this a valiant effort of a few hard reading days but I bid farewell at 50%

First things first, I was prepared to love this and I'm all the more disappointed that I didn't. It's my first Lili Valente and selected for its fun angle on a spooky romance for spooky season, I was downright excited to sit down with the novelty of what looked like a unique romance meshed with the fittings of paranormal activity. The hybrid inspired. Make no mistake that I really appreciated the refreshing difference in Hot Ghosthunter For Hire, and for that reason I was adamant in wanting to remain its bosom buddy. And I did via some encouraging Amazon reviews, the ‘supernatural’ element and because I couldn't deny the intrigue in seeing where the author intended to go with Nate, Addie and their romance. This spin off started of really well for me. Nate and Addie are brought to Jersey's Hellmouth by the same book, brought together by a so called unearthly location. She suggests that the Hellmouth is best explored as a pair and the rest is history because that meet and greet incites a Summer crusade of adventure, travel and love for these eerie questers. They followed paranormal adventure wherever they could find it and found love between them in the meantime. But all ends badly after unforeseen forces push them apart and Nate leaves Addie heartbroken and devastated while he goes on to live a desired life of free living, a life free of his father and one his heart has always wanted to follow. He followed one dream, and left the other behind.

The thrill that coated my bones was tainted fairly soon into this one. And it did have more to do with just my disparate feelings for Valente's hero. Post-prologue when I was dropped into the present-day setup, I really didn't like how things turned out with time apart. While Nate lived his best life, busying himself into forgetfulness, Addie lived her worst. This wonderful teen who had early admission into college, was a super smart academic high-achiever, could have had any career for the taking and had a world of potential in her has been resigned to a life of no life. She stayed so stuck that she never let herself live, never let herself move on, accepted only the lowest of her potential and that made me so sad on her behalf. And equally (though irrationally) angry that Nate thrived while she survived. Dominated by a difficult employer - a high-maintenance madam for seven years - she's been nothing in her life but a dutiful live-in employee. She played it as safe as safe can be, as small and tame as possible, all the while her hero lived big, large, wildly and to his whim. While it all comes down to choices made and I understand that each chose their path thereafter, I was monopolised by the unfairness of it all because the felt experience for Addie was that she had no choices. Her life stopped. Her future fell. She became so disempowered and I was looking forward to how the author would challenge that in the present day because I was hopeful to see a heroine carving out a new path. Addie has a life to live when she finally makes a decisions for herself and I was invested in how she’d move forward. I could really feel how bittersweet reflection was for her (the prose is quite adept at portraying that) and her past relationship with Nate is tense with love and loathing. It’s all very heartrending. It made me incredibly happy to know that she at least had a good friend in Shane. The two extremes in which their lives turned out was a hard pill to swallow, however.

But Nate? He lived chasing the career of his dreams, earned his successes and has likely lived nine lives of adventure through the young age of one life alone. That didn't make me feel any better about Addie's situation. In fact, the further I read, there was another added inch to my temper, upset on her behalf, but I felt how I felt and the story only felt uneasy and disappointing knowing he likely could have somehow found a way back to her but didn't. It wasn't easy knowing while he'd done it all, seen it all and was literally writing a book on it, she sustained on a lot less, felt so alone and trapped through self-sentence. It took a turn that made my heart feel as if it had dropped straight into my gut. While he lives life in all the ways a free man could, moved on and left all thought and trace of her behind, we know that he still loved her, I think. But he still moved on. And here's what also really bothered me: while she was clearly ruined for all other men and deeply cut up over their separation and his leaving her, he was not ruined for any other women and had his fair share of female company while trying to forget about her. Addie, on the other hand, didn't let herself have any kind of a love life. No companionship, no romance, no active dating life. Any romance in her life stopped when he left it. Maybe I could have gotten behind the romance if he had stayed faithful and monogamous to the feeling and memory of them. We can put a lot of what went down when they were young to teenage ignorance and forceful interference out of their control but it didn't overturn the developments that kept me stuck in angst mode.

To come full circle, I’m not sure if I 'liked' Nate? Sometimes he came across well, and other times he didn't. An example being when they reunite at the resort and he seems to think *showing* her how he feels after freshly being in close proximity for the first time in a long time will make her see sense and feel his apology. What worsens that particular situation is that Addie's anger doesn't last very long, and she doesn't put up much of a fight after seven years of carrying the level of anguish that maimed her enough to forget her own worth. A beautiful man and a past unforgotten shouldn't warrant an easy reconciliation. Feelings are complicated, heroines are complicated, they should have the right to feel and hold true to that. So as is sadly obvious, I definitely had assorted feelings with the initial setup of the romance, even after that, so I decided to be brave, stray from my typical and call it quits. It's a bit of a shame that I didn't see things through because I have a feeling things do get interesting. The angst was great, especially from Addie's POV, and really quite heartbreaking to read. In terms of emotionality the prose could be quite compelling in places. In its favour I can easily compliment the better points of the story because it is appealing in way that left me wanting to know more. And with a bit of a mystery to unravel I was curious and curiouser. I just don't think Hot Ghosthunter for Hire should have been my entrance to Lili Valente romance.

Since I do have the first book in the original series (The Big O Dating specialists), I might try that and see how it fits for size. As aforementioned I did consider putting this down indefinitely multiple times through, and thinking I'd get my wish of an interesting romance with a side of phantom mystery, that these two have a unique meet cute by intersecting through a mutual curiosity and a shared desire to follow the trail of occult adventure in their hometown became the cardinal reason I had to give it a go. There is a lovely wistfulness that comments over teenaged dreams, avenues chosen and living life on the terms you give yourself, and reader that I am, I loved the nerdiness of quoting various bookish people (and Addie's nickname). Unfortunately it wasn't for me but qué sera sera and maybe another pick from this author will be the be for me.

If I had to sum this book up with one word...Perfection!

If you've read the other books about Magnificent Bastard Consulting, then you've surely seen mention of Adeline. She is the shy, bookish neighbor to the loud and outgoing Shane. While Addie is happy to take the backseat and be the perfectly sweet girl that everyone would like as a friend, she is meant for so much more.

After meeting the love of her life at the young age of 16 and having her heart broken shortly after, Addie's life never turned out the way she expected. All of the big plans she had fell by the wayside and she settled in a life that she never wanted. And then she sees him...Nate. The one guy that she could never forget and hoped to never see again. But fate has a different plan and on a dark and snowy night Addie and Nate cross paths once again.

This book is filled with so much love and passion that it is so enjoyable to read. Watching Nate and Addie reconnect after all this time is priceless and I loved every minute of it.

Confession: I had to read this book twice because I turned the pages so fast the first time I wanted to go back and savor the book for what it is.

Meant For You: A Sexy, Flirty, Dirty Romance by Lili Valente is book 4 in the Magnificent Bastard Series. This is a standalone and you don't have to read the other 3 but I'm not sure why you wouldn't.

Addie (Einstien) and Nate (Pretty Devil) meet when they are 16 & 18 and on their way to college. They have the summer that we all dreamed about as giggly teenagers. They have a mutual love of learning and horror stories. For reasons neither of them knows, they both disappear and go their separate ways after "the summer of love".

Flash forward seven years when they are reunited by FATE. I believe Nate and Addie where always meant to be together from beginning. They just had to be apart to grow up and become who they were destined (or so they thought) to be. She has become a shy, reserved and conservative and he has been on grand adventures in the name of his job. Their sparks are still hot and their love is still deep. ~sigh~ first love to last love - a true romance

As I said, my first run through I was flipping pages so fast that I didn't absorb what I was reading. I read it a second time and enjoyed the nuanced writing, the unexpected adventures and the romance. I really like the way this series ended. I am putting all four books in the series back on my tbr to read again from the first book to the last.

Nice Job Lili Valente!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!! There are not enough stars for this book!!!

This can be read as a standalone but some of the character interaction might be confusing, but not unreadable.

Addie and Nate. High School Summer Love. Parents. Mean old lady. Hearts forever together. Ghosts. Did I mention Ghosts???

Do you remember the summer after High School graduation, when the world was open to you and you were "invincible"?? Addie and Nate do. They found each other during a ghost hunting expedition and were inseparable from that moment on.

But like the seasons, summer comes to an end and so did their relationship, due to their HORRIBLE parents.

Fast forward some years and while Addie is working for HORRIBLE NASTY NO GOOD ELOISE she spies Nate with a friend of hers.

It takes a weekend holiday, thinking Nate is gay, a very hot very sexy makeout session, and a car accident (that somehow ends up involving murderous ghosts) for these two to realize that time, distance and hurt feelings will never overpower true love.

I say this all the time (and it's always true) but this is my favorite book by Lili Valente. She never stops surprising and entertaining.

Meant for You is a standalone, but it's part of the Magnificent Bastard series. I love this series. So much! Lili Valente knows just what I need when I need to read it! She can always make me laugh, swoon, smile, get hot and bothered and in this case, get the chills! I loved that this story isn't her normal rom-com, but it has a different feel. Fate, destiny and yes, a little supernatural feel. I, of course, love a little paranormal in my romance, so I enjoyed this story! We've met Adaline before. She's a friend of Shane's and she's sweet and pretty, but she's sad. There's something from her past that haunts her and it’s not just Nate, her ex-boyfriend, the newest employee of Magnificent Bastard Consulting. Addie doesn't want to see Nate again. She hasn't forgotten the pain he caused when he vanished from her life years ago. When she finds herself in the same hotel as Nate, she can't avoid him. Nate can't believe it's really her. He never thought he's see her again and this time he isn't going to let her go. Walking away from her was the biggest mistake he's ever made and he's going to make her sit down and listen to him even if he has to kiss her into submission. A sled mishap and a freak snowstorm bring Addie and Nate together to face their past and their present. Does this mean there's a future for them too? I loved this story! Nate is totally swoon worthy with his sexiness and his determination. Addie is sassy and tougher than she ever thought she could be. This is a second chance romance that proves some people are just meant for each other. Fate, destiny and a little supernatural intervention are at work. You can try to ignore them, but they are stronger than you are so you just need to listen and pay attention!

Other girls have made me want, but Addie is the first to make me ache.

Unfortunately, this book really didn't work for me. Also unfortunately, the reason for this is a giant spoiler about one of the plot points, so there is no way to discuss the issue I had with the book without giving it away.

I will leave it with the idea that I liked the writing and the characters. The plotting was ok, it was even. However, I was not able to get into the story due to the plot issue that I had with this.

I know this is terribly vague, but without giving it away, there is nothing else I can say.

While technically this can be read as a stand alone it is part of a series. Thankfully I had read the first one so I had a little background. This had a very mild paranormal bit toward the end of the story. Not enough that I would call it a PNR. A cute storyline of fated love. A second chance trope. I listened to the audio version of this.

Sooooo good!! This story included not only the humor of the other books in the series, but a pretty cool PNR element that I loved. Both Nate and Addie were put through so much that tore them apart, but fate works in mysterious ways!! Addie and Nate were my favorite by far.

Meant For You by Lili Valente was a pleasant surprise. I had thought that it would be closer to your typical contemporary romance novel with popular themes and good writing. But What I got was a little bit of magic, spirits from beyond and a whole lot of coincidence-or was it?!

Nate and Adeline have a unique relationship. They fell in love one summer long ago. They were going to change the world together. Had colourful high expectations of where there would end up together. Citing love as a cure all. Parental interference got in the way on both sides and they were forced to make decisions based on lies and manipulation. I never doubted the love they shared. It was real and honest and full of chemistry. I almost wished there was more of their "before" story on the whole.

Fate seems to rear its head whenever it sees fit when these two are involved. Almost as if they were on a collision course with no possibility of a misstep. A chance encounter at a resort brings these two love birds back together after years apart. Secrets, regrets and truths are needed to be hashed out before peace can be had but finding the right time to re-open old wounds is not something on Adeline's priority list. Nate on the other hand has other plans. And they involve making Addy hear him out and explain what happened all those years ago.

I LOVED, loved Eduardo. He brought the comedic relief this story needed. I also enjoyed random boy Pervert In Paris, even though he ended up not being random at all ;)

A quick, easy read that held my attention the whole way through. I looked forward to picking this book back up to see what would happen next!

This book was pretty cute. It was not at all like the first ones. Which was nice. The first three books where seriously based on the Magnificent Bastard Consulting company and it's clients. This one was not. The male MC worked for MBC. But that's it. And while I love that storyline it was nice to get something new.

Adeline and Nate knew each other when they were kids. They were active ghost hunters together. Nate was 18 and Addie was 16. They fell in love and he took her virginity. Well some stuff happened and they were seperated for seven years.

Seven years later, Addie is working for a nasty old woman in the same building as Shane from book three. They are good friends. So Addie knows about MBC and what they do there. Well, Nate gets a job working for MBC and is now in the same city as Addie.

Addie finally up and quits on the mean old lady she works for and takes Shane up on her offer to use a vacation that she planned and will not be taking advantage of. So Addie hightails it to a ski resort of some sort and it just so happens that Nate is there on a case for MBC and runs into Addie and sparks fly.

The end of this book took a huge twist that I was absolutely not thinking it would. Lol I have to talk about it so I'm going to spoiler tag it.

Anywho, this was a cute book. (:

This book for me sounded good at the synopsis. Then, I realized it was nothing like as described. I found myself with more questions than answers. The story was so hard to follow. There was so many things that turned me off.

For one, I didn't lie neither Nate nor Addie. There was qualities about both of them that I found annoying. Like, Addie let everyone push her around and walk all over her. Nate was kind of a dummy too. He never really fought for Addie. Or looked for her.

I am just at a loss for words. Kinda disappointed and Kinda sad this book wasn't what I was expecting.

The beginning of this was sad, the way they got separated from each other for 7 years was awful. They were meant to be though. How random that they would meet at a retreat? Addie wasn't my favorite woman in this series, but she was hurt young and I understand why she treated Nate like that. I mostly was mad because she ran away and made a bad decision that almost killed herself and another person. Nate seemed like a pretty good guy overall, although he could have fought for Addie more when they were younger. It didn't tie the other books together as much as I wanted. I liked the series overall.

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. And you’ve always been my favorite mystery.”

How is it possible to fit SO MANY good things in one book? Good things including (but not limited to) fun and flirty romance, silly business, boatloads (gondola-loads?!) of humor, and mysterious, *looks left and right* what’s happening? moments. I may not know how, but I do know that Lili Valente absolutely managed it in this wonderful, feel good read.

Meant For You is a quick and sexy second chance romance, and it left me with a big, BIG grin. Seriously, there's something so incredibly charming about this book. In a world gone mad, it's a little light, a little out there, a little unique and a lot of fabulous. I enjoyed every page, was sucked in from the start—to the point (dare I admit it?) that I damn near forgot to get my son from preschool because I was hooked.

Which, really, I should have expected. Each book in this sort-of series of standalones (beginning with the awesome Magnificent Bastard) showcases the friendly, engaging writing style of an author who has become a sure thing for me. An author I can count on to give me ALL THE GOOD THINGS whenever I pick up one of her books—and does it in a way that leaves me ready for more, more, more.

(Psst, the happy ending… *bites lip* *swoons* *smiles*).

‘No one is spanking anyone!’
‘Well, that doesn’t sound like much fun.’

Meant For You by Lili Valente is a standalone second chance romance told in dual POV between Nate and Adaline. While it does loosely follow on from other books in Lili's Magnificent Bastard Consulting non-series it, just like all the others, CAN be read as a standalone. I'm always so eager to dive into anything Lili has written I didn't even realize the tie in until a few chapters into the story and it was a pleasant surprise.

Nate went on a ghost hunt the summer before college. Being in New Jersey and having just finished reading a horror story that was set there he just HAD to find the entrance to the Hell Mouth. Adaline, having read the same book, was at the hell mouth when he arrived and there story was forever intertwined with fate, and ghosts, ever since.

This story was absolutely beautiful. Funny, witty, a little bit creepy, but just absolutely fabulous. There hasn't been anything Lili has written to date that I haven't absolutely loved so I'm not surprised, just very grateful to have been a part of Nate and Adaline's story, even if it was just while I was reading it.

What a great book! The author has written a great storyline with bits of humor, sadness, romance and a dash of superstition thrown in. Not to mention it stars two people you can’t help but fall in love with and root for them to find some type of happiness from life.

Nate and Addie meet as young kids and spend one glorious summer as 1st time lovers. But as fate would have it, summer ends and life doesn't turn out as they had planned. Instead they spend 7 years floundering through lives that have taken totally different paths than the ones they had each planned all those years ago. But what happens when fate steps in again and they run into each other? Can Addie forgive Nate for leaving her? Can Nate convince Addie of what really happened and get her to forgive him and at least let him in her life as a friend? Will Nate ever understand what Addie has been through? This is a wonderfully written book with some amazing twists and turns. I highly recommend this as a must read adventure - you won’t regret giving it a try.

Meant for You was a great read with lots of treats laced throughout.

Nate and Adeline were great and I loved how Lili captured both of their quirky sides. Meant for You is not your typical Lili Valente story, well it is in the way of sense of humor and the hot n' steamy sex scenes; but i definitely loved the added bonus of a little bit of paranormal. It definitely worked for me and for this couple in particular, as this is how they were brought together to begin with!

I really liked this book and it was a great quick read! I have become a fan of the Magnificent Bastard crew, they are all quite funny and all those men are definitely swoon worthy! Nate is no different.

What an unexpected surprise this book was! I thought it was going to be a romantic comedy and second chance romance (which it was), but there were also paranormal elements woven into the story too. Honestly, I'm normally not a fan of paranormal, but in this case it worked well with the characters and plot. This is book 4 in the Sexy Flirty Dirty series, but can be read as a stand alone.

I loved the author's sense of humor and found myself laughing out loud many times throughout this book. The witty banter between our characters, especially Nate and Addie was hilarious! It really helped bring some levity to the heavier scenes/moments in the book. Although I liked both Nate and Addie, there were a few things that kept me from loving them. I wish that Addie had more backbone and had taken charge of her life sooner. Her situation and past were of course heartbreaking, but she let it define and paralyze her for 7 years. Nate also annoyed me because though he claimed to love Addie, it didn't seem like he searched very hard for her. I understand he was terrified and felt like he had no choice/hope, but after that failed attempt it just seemed like he gave up way too easily. Their chemistry though is undeniable and I loved them together and was rooting for them to get their happily ever after.

The unexpected part of this book for me was the addition of the supernatural elements. I wouldn't classify this as a paranormal romance, but it does play a significant role in the plot. If that's not your cup of tea, this may not be the book for you. I also found the cover of this book confusing since it doesn't really relate to the story or characters and may lead some readers to believe that they're getting a CEO/billionaire romance.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read and a refreshing twist on the classic second chance romance. The narration of the audiobook is also wonderful (Kitty Bang and CJ Mission are incredible!) and I definitely recommend listening to it if you have the opportunity.

I really loved this funny, romantic story. I couldn't help myself when it came to laughing out loud at the antics of these two people. Nate and Addie are just the perfect couple. To have a young love that is torn away and comes back together, is such a great story line. Lili Valente gives the listener/reader a quality book. The depth of the characters was amazing. The listener really gets to know these characters. The narrators were excellent. Loved both of them. Looking for more Valente books.

I gave this book 3.5 stars!

I have to say that this was a okay book, I really felt for Addie but my feelings for Nate wasn't like all the other book boyfriends I have read and he came across to me a a$$. The storyline was kind of all over the place and I had a hard time keeping up with what was in the present and what was actually real. I kept reading because I wanted to see if Nate would redeem himself and by the end I can say he wasn't as bad but he defiantly is in the running of boyfriend of the year award.

Addie and Nate meet when he is 18 and and she is 16. Addie is super smart and will be starting college early and Nate is destine to play football at Duke. When they have a summer romance neither one thought that they would fall in love. When things go wrong these two go on separate and live to differently lives. When both are in the same place and get snowed in Nate is determine to show Addie that he still loves her. Can he make he believe him or will be just empty promises as before?

Just because I didn't really like doesn't mean that you want so if you think that you would like, give it a try because you might really like Nate.

Loved the book, aside from the paranormal elements.
This second chance was cute and tragic at the same time. But I enjoyed how it all came together.

STACEY'S REVIEW
3.75 STARS

This was my 1st book by Lili Valente and it was a cute story about the one that got away and how there are always two sides to every story and sometimes we really need to know both sides to truly understand what happens in relationships. I loved the jump and flash back it flowed well and I felt for Addy but it also made it hard for me to LOVE Nate as a book boyfriend.

Although I enjoyed this book and had fun reading it there were a few times where I was like....huh??? Without giving too much away I have to say this was a sexy, cute read but I am not one who believes in ghosts so yeah that's what was a bit off for me.

All in all this was a cute story with turns you will never see coming and a bit of woah moments that make you think about ghosts and haunted houses. It's not your typical love story but it was still a fun read!!!
