I decided to read ninja the battle because I was drawn in by the blurb on the back. this book is a fantasy and my favourite quote is “Ignis lay motionless, looking up at Vargas. The sunlight was reddening with the approach of evening, and the wind had died away, leaving the air completely still. The world seemed to be holding its breath.” I liked this quote because of how descriptive it is and how it was written. I learnt that friends will always be there for you no matter what and always lending you a hand when you need it. My favourite character in this book was shiro because he’s a bit like me quiet but always looking out for his friends plus he’s like a wise old owl. on the bingo board it is a fantasy.
Ninja: The Battle, by Benedict Jacka was overall a really good book. You should read this book if you are in for some action and a sense of mystery. Although it is not a Mystery book(it is actually fiction), it still has a lot to make you think. For example, why would Michael ever want to go with his sister to Rokkaku? Doesn't he work for Vargas? There are intense battles and lots of times where the gang is on the run. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it sometimes it gets a bit boring. There are parts in the book where there is too much dialogue and also some parts where Benedict Jacka seems like he is trying to make the book a bit too intricate. This is still a good book and I recommend that you should read it. It is the second book of the series though.
