Frustrating, Fierce, Loyalty, Honor

Joan has matured somewhat through this book since her blood lust was taken. though she is still very much a hot head, jump in and worry/ think later kinda girl.

In this book (2) we see kindness, love, sacrifices, honor, secrets, mysteries & unwavering loyality.

I was completely infuriated with how things progressed, i didn't get what i wanted to happen, it didnt go the way i planned/thought it to... there were so mant things i didnt want to happen and so many that i did want to happen but didnt. But in all that, i really enjoyed this book because i never saw the ending coming... i screamed at my kindle and i wanted to throw it across the room, but i also wanted to hug it and steal cuddles from all the handsome men within the book. the moments im torn between screaming and embracing it.

i ❤ theo .... hes just like a marshmallow ...... firm and sometimes crispy, but fluffy or gooey on the inside once he warms to ya.

Kate has produced a book that not only makes me not want to put it down to stop reading it, that i must finish because it would drive me insane not knowing answers. if book 3 is anything like book 2 it will be epic, full of drama, love and excitement. Please get finished soon. I'm desperate to know how things end!!!!!!!!! ❤

Brilliant book, enjoyed it immensely. I love the world and characters that Katelyn has brought to life with Eternity Fades. So many twists, I'm usually quite good at predicting what's going to happen but this blew me away. Cannot wait for the release of Embers and Frost

Oh. My. Katelyn killed me. And revived me. And killed me again.

This book is awesome, even better than the first!
All the informations that seemed to be missing? Answers are here. And action is clearly awaiting.

This novel starts with Joan condition, really not easy to live with when your an assassin. Needless to say that she isn't living it very well. She can't have the man she loves, and she can't do what she's best at: kill people to save others. And now, the tension between her and her sworn enemy Dane is starting to shift into something else entirely. No matter what, he is still a threat and her place at the Agency could be soon compromised. When Dane makes his suspicions clear, she starts to dig, and she may not be ready for what is to be found...

Pushed in a corner, the rebellion has never been this close... as the disclosure of some important secrets. Joan -and others- will learn a lot about herself, her family, Dane... and it is way more dangerous than she thought. The bad guys aren't always entirely evil, and the "good" ones may hide something very dark. But all of them are dangerous... and in danger. It feels like a bomb could explose anytime. Suspense? Tension? Danger & Power? Check, check, chek & check.

Oh, and love? Also check. Please, let's not talk more about her love life and the sexy guys around her here, because I won't be able to stop ;). Just: I love you Lorenzo. Oh, and I want you Dane! Ah, Cyrus, I'm not really against, dear... Well, I don't talk for Joan (promise) that would be to big of a spoiler, but I mean it ;)

I cried, I shivered, I fantasized, I shivered, I fantasized, I cried, I killed Katelyn in my sleep between two chapters, at the end of the book... Oops, didn't mean this one (lie) ;) AND I CRIED!
Lots of emotions, and as in the first book, no manichean point of view and very complexe characters! Joan grew up a lot and it's really nice to see other sides of her.

In the end:

Will Joan be able to be herself again? Will Lorenzo be kinda back? Is something happening with Dane? Will her secret be revealed? Will Joan be safe with the counsil, and will she be able to change things between humans, witches and tainted beings? And why are these crazy readers shivering and crying and fantasizing???!!!

If you read book one (you didn't? Go grab it you fool!) and liked it, you will love this one, or at least NEED to read it ;). So, well, you might as well do so? I strongly recommend it!

PS: AND I WANT BOOK 3 NOW!! Just saying.

I'm in love with this series. Maybe the Author too. LOL!! She's brilliant! And a little evil....
After the end of the first book, which if you haven't read, do so before reading this one. Otherwise you are jumping in Blind... Joan finds herself a completely different person and she's not happy. But things always have a way of going wonky in her world. She settles into a life that she is happy enough with, until she learns some horrible information. From there, things go crazy quickly. Be prepared for all sorts of feelings. It's a crazy ride. Have your tissues ready, of course. It's hard to review this author's books without spoilers. There is just so much...if you know what I mean. This is the second book in her debut as an author and again, she kills you with her imagination and creativity. If you haven't read the first book, Everlasting Flame, do. It's required reading. This one is next up on the syllabus. Enjoy.

Katelyn Anderson does it to me every time! She had me crying, sitting on the edge of my seat, laughing and ready to scream. The secrets revealed, the action, the love, all of it just make an amazingly awesome read. I think I will need medication after this! A truly amazing book I think everyone should read. I am leaving this review because this is an amazing book and because I want to. I have not been coerced in any way.

( I received this book free in exchange for my honest review )

Oh my freaking god! What an explosive ending, and that cliff-hanger, wow, just wow.

I know, I know, I had rather mixed feelings about the first book, but all those unsettling feels were washed away in this fantastic second installment. All the problems I had with the first are nonexistence in this one. The plot was smooth, on point and didn’t jump around. Sure there was still some re-explaining on Joan’s part, but I’ve accepted that as part of her personality. I’ve grown to like her more as a MC, she is slowly maturing, not as fast as I would like, but she’s getting there.

As I said the plot was smooth and the flow was near perfect. Everything was well connected, questions were answered and most of all that weird love-whatever-it-was in the first book was fully and properly explain, making it a crucial plot point instead of annoying plot filler. It was driving point and it was well executed throughout the book. I have a special place in Hades for Dane, but I can see that he is going to be the tipping point in the next installment. As much as I want to hate him, I quite enjoy is antics.

The only thing that I didn’t like, I didn’t see much of Joan actually fighting. She was in the background a lot, and I felt that Damian and Lorenzo were the stars and man, Damian, he is like my hero. He pretty much took over this story and as much as I know Joan is the MC, she just wasn’t shinning as much as I would have liked. In saying that, I would love to read a side story about Damian. He gave us some insight into his past in this book, and a short story about that would be epic.

And the feels! The Feels! At the end, well I had a feeling something like that was going to happen, but in my heart of hearts I was hoping that plot protecting would kick in; my heart in in tatters. This was such a bitter sweet ending, but more bitter then sweet. That cliff-hanger, I’m not a fan of them, but when done right it will have you on the edge of your seat, waiting for that next book. The danger isn’t over, the story hasn’t ended and I hope that Joan can step up

I can’t say why I’m so broken up about this book; it’ll ruin everything and then some. So take my high recommendation that you need to read this series. Its unique plot will suck you in; it will burrow into your heart and shatter it just when you think good has conquers all.

Happy Reading.

This book deserves more than the five stars available. Katelyn Anderson has managed to yet again continue from Everlasting Flame. Book 1.
In a brilliant way. The plot is easily described so you can envisage the places the story takes place, without being overloaded with to much information. The story has an edge-of-the-seat quality, that pulls the reader in from the very beginning, giving you tidbits of information as the characters receive it, but then it explodes, turning one situation, in a completely different direction. It is packed full of action, love, resistance, intrigue, betrayal, mystery, devastation and so much more. It certainly keeps you on your toes. Katelyn.A. Has a talent that makes you able to feel every emotion as your own from each character. At one point I was absolutely devastated, I was sobbing. My husband thought I was nuts, crying over a book, but honestly, I felt it in my bones, it was so powerful. I don't want to spoil any moments for you in this book, you deserve to experience it yourselves. If this series was a film, I would definitely recommend an academy award. The supernatural parts tie in seamlessly with the story. I can't wait for the next instalment of this series. You will find yourselves picking it up in your tea breaks, just so you can fit in a few more lines. I couldn't put it down.

After having those that were closest to her ripped away, and then having the one thing that kept her sane stripped from her, Joan is battling nothing other than mountains of paperwork and an ever growing dark obsession with the one man she hates more than anything on this earth. No longer being able to kill, or even hurt, someone unless her life is in danger, Joan is at the mercy of all around her and longs for nothing more than to go back in time when she was the Angel of Death and even the baddest of the bad feared her, but that doesn't mean she can't still achieve the goal she set out for herself so many years ago.

Old players return, old loves reunite, and old pain rekindles and burns brighter than the noon day sun making you want to laugh, scream and cry.

This book flowed beautifully and was very hard to put down when reality came screaming at me. I enjoyed every word and can not wait for the third installment.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I received a copy of this book from the author, but the opinion shared here is my own.

I honestly don't know how to characterize this book, aside from the obvious 'fantasy' genre. It's packed with adventure, a bit of mystery, suspense, desire, humor, love (and loss), and so many other emotions. I laughed and cried right along with the characters in this novel. I loved the first book in this series (Everlasting Flame), but this one was just all out amazing!

This book is ideal for fantasy fans that want to experience the full range of emotions that go along with connecting intensely with a fictional character. Read the first book in The Tainted Souls Trilogy if you can, and then get ready to continue this adventure with Joan, Dane and Lorenzo...just a few members of an amazing cast of characters in this series. I promise you will NOT be disappointed!

Eternity Fades is book two in these intense Series. Joan is trying to cope with many things and the lies and secrets she carries are threatening her very existence. Darkness is lurking everywhere! Risks are taken and disaster strikes. Some lives were saved, some were lost but others were shattered. Will Joan be able to save the tainted? You must read to find out but I will warn you, make sure you have tissues handy because this book will take you on a rollercoaster of intense emotions. I loved this series and I hope it continues. Great read.

I thought the second book in the series is way better then book one. Expect a lot of twist. The author kept dropping things in the story all the way through.
I gave it a four star because I found the heroin annoying at times with the decisions she makes and the crying. She cried a lot (in my opinion)! It also had more slow moments then I expected.
I would recommend this book to those who love fantasy. Can't wait for book three! I know the author would surprise us in the third book as she did in this book.
The book ends on a cliff hanger and there is a sad moment towards the end.

Can't wait for the next book!!!

Eternity Fades is the second book in the tainted souls trilogy written by the magnificent Katelyn Anderson. This book was fantastic, I was already in love with the characters and this book just made me love them more. I was very sad towards the end of the book. I can't wait to see what the next book holds, I want to see if Dane had a different side to him or if he really is just a soulless monster. I also want to see if Joan and Damian are up for the task ahead.

Ah-mazing!!

Loved this!! Joan is a force all her own, but she's surrounded by unpredictable magic, dangerous co-workers and has a serious list of Frenemies!! What was I waiting for!? I should've read this the moment it was released!! Wow! This was even better than the first book! More of everything was pursued in this sequel. More plot twists, more intrigue, more witty dialogue, more action, more heart! And the ending chapters totally broke my heart! I cannot wait for the third book!!! Because I need more ♡♡♡♡

Where to even start?? This book was...everything, it was absolutely amazing! I loved the first book Everlasting Flame, but this 2nd book really pulled me in. The characters developed so much more in this book and I really become attached to them. This story gave me all the feels; I was up and down all over the place. If you haven't read book one go get it...fall in love with it then read this one and ride the awesome ride! I loved it and I cannot wait for the 3rd book. I can't even imagine where the author is going to go with it but it is sure to be outstanding!

This series just keeps getting better, more intense, more potential for twists and turns and really Kate? you could give George R R Martin a run for his money in getting rid of people you become attached to. Joan just goes from misery to pain and back again and how she has stayed semi sane through it all defeats me... I love these books something that forces you to think. Makes you argue, yell, cry and laugh. Must have the preciousss

Holy crap. I'm in awe of just how good this book was. It took me on a crazy emotional roller coaster. There was twist after twist and what you thought you saw coming wasn't even close to what actually happened. There was nothing predictable at all. Joan was restored to her former assassin glory too little too late. And that ending?! Way to leave me hanging! Excellent job Katelyn Anderson. I impatiently await the next book!

This book destroyed me. It was so so good plot twist after plot twist and the book just got better and better. Joan came through along with our lovable executioner. Dane was still a jerk but an understood jerk. Regardless I would so recommend this book. I was utterly destroyed by the ending. Bring him back!!!!!

Oh boy what a read. Joan sure has a hell of a time in this one. She can, she cant, she shouldn't but sometimes does, as well as getting some rather startling revelations about her past. Once again this book is full of "curveballs" and holds you prisoner till the last word. So much so its hard to put down to attend to real life.

Note: I received an ARC of this from the author in return for an honest review. This in no way influences my opinion.

I just want to start off by saying how much I love this cover!! Isn't it just so pretty?? This book continues to follow Joan's story and, whilst I had a couple of issues with this book, I really enjoyed it overall and I cannot even wait for the final instalment!!

Joan is a character that has been through a lot! After everything that happened in the first book, I'm surprised that she managed to stay as strong as she did. She did seem to whine a lot about stuff that wasn't going to change any time soon, but overall I really loved her development in this book and the fact that she stayed mentally strong when it came down to it, as well as physically strong. She does carry some mental scars with her, but she doesn't let it affect what she is trying to achieve and create and I feel like this is a character trait to be admired!

An aspect that I really loved about this book was the fact that we got to know more about Damian! In the first book, he was an extremely mysterious character because we had no idea where he had come from or where the power came from that he has. I loved the twist that his story brought to the plot as a whole and the way that parts of his story tied up to the events in the end of the book!

This book is extremely plot driven - which meant there was one plot twist after another after another! This kept the readers on their toes and I just had to know what was going to happen next!! There was a lot of information to take in, so it isn't a particularly quick read, but I loved the way that each and every element of the plot was brought together to create a whole picture by the end of the book!

Can we also talk about the ending? I don't want to go into too much detail because spoilers, but I wasn't really all that fussed about what happened to a certain character. I didn't really like him throughout the book (because he's in the way of my OTP), so by the end of the book I was actually relatively happy... After reading others' opinions on this, I appear to be the only one! The book also ended on an extreme cliff hanger and I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT!!!!!

All in all, I absolutely loved this book and I cannot wait for the next instalment! I gave this book 4/5 stars.

The book fairy struck again with this one. It's one of those catch- 22's where you NEED to finish this book, but when the end is near you start to spazz out because you're running out of pages. Everything about this series is intriguing; from Kate's unique writing style to all the characters and their many (relatable) personalities.
