If you are upset about the last Presidential election, this is a book for you. It adds to the current anger and disgust that the divisive policies and politics of the past eight years have created in this country and offers an explanation of the unforeseen election result. Although I feel that Hillbilly Elegy offers a more insightful explanation as to why America voted the way it did, this book attempts to explain the election result as a function of big data and nuanced marketing. The ideas and language in the book and the theme of resistance further helps the reader understand and feel the disconnect between the forgotten people in rural and urban America and the intellectual elites and media, as the latter keep searching for an answer to why they are losing control of the country.

Engh

Seems more like a long blog post instead of a book. I understand the authors intent but it does come off as fallacy due to language used. I hope the author finds a better way of presenting this information and more.
