Drowning was romantic and sexy and was packed full of emotional and angsty moments! It had everything I look for in a romance novel, and the epilogue left me with a big fat smile on my face! What a sad story of abuse that leads into a beautiful love story, with a whole lot of sexual tension on the side!

The writing was great and flowing. The plot was intriguing. I loved all the main characters and I really felt like the authors did an awesome job getting the reader -me- to connect with them.

Andi has just escaped an abusive relationship. With emotional scars and physical wounds still obvious on her, her escape plan aims to get her out of a poisonous relationship. While travelling, she meets Adrian, an American Olympic swimmer. He used to be the ‘good guy’, every sponsor’s dream until the moment he unfairly found himself in the middle of a scandal. As the scandal grew and his image kept on taking hit after hit, he lost his sponsorship deals and was excluded from the team. Now, framed and unable to prove his innocence, he is running from the Law.

I felt so bad for all Andi had to go through, but she is one tough woman! Adrian was so protective over her. I loved them together immediately. After years of abuse, Andi was cautious and frightened. She didn’t trust Adrian and his kind intentions, but she couldn't deny her attraction to him. I found this hero simply perfect. He sought justice and retribution for wrongs committed against this woman, he was very sensitive and thoughtful towards her. Adrian, a guy harboring his own demons, was strong, understanding, hot, loving and the perfect man for Andi!

I enjoyed seeing Andi get her happy ending and I fell in love with a great hero. Adrian is a strong man who comes alive when he finds a woman that loves him, scars and all. I loved getting to know this couple and seeing them get their happy ending. This book is a keeper!

In short:
Hero 5/5 | Heroine 5/5 | Plot (Point, Originality) 5/5 | Writing Style 5/5 | Steam 3/5 | Romance 5/5 | Angst-Suspense 5/5 | Darkness 3/5 | Humor 0/5 | Secondary Characters 5/5 | Drama-Conflict 5/5 | Mystery 0/5 | Twists 5/5 | Pacing Steady | Action 5/5

The first lines just impacted me
For those who are still running.
For those who have found home.

And what a run across the country Andi and Clay had to do...they're running from their violent pasts. Andi is running from horror of abuse and violence and Clay is running from himself. His tainted name. His friends. The law . And his own shadow , that threatens to blacken everyone unfortunate enough to be associated with him.
They're both scared, both looking over their shoulders, both lowering the caps on their eyes, both too afraid to trust.

We’re nothing more than two misunderstood people who aren’t done fighting. And we’re not going to give up until we come out on top.

It's a terrible endeavour to leave your roots, your home to start afresh. They live day to day, hiding their identity and just wandering like driftwood waiting for tides to chart their future course. They find a moment you breathe with each other, so they find anchor and a shoulder to lean on amidst all the hurricane. That soon develops into love and find a tiny glimmer of normalcy till everything blows up in their faces!!
There's a constant source of strength for Andi, in the form of Charlie, who gives her validation, encouragement to get out and resolve to self preserve

As usual, Charlie doesn’t give himself enough credit. But he’s still everything I need him to be. He listens to my fears and offers advice, and when we’re both standing in front of the shelter, he says the most important things he ever could— with his eyes. That I’m worthy. That I’m a fighter. And that I can move on from this.

Brooks could be any one of the million abusive people who prey on innocent weak women , unable to defend themselves, yet Andi had at one point loved him, she's such a sweetheart, she still pities him

Watching Brooks self-destruct hurts. How I can look at a monster and still feel that, I have no idea. Maybe he messed me up more than I thought, but I remember our first date and the first time he made me feel responsible for his happiness. I was convinced there was no greater feeling in the world. Proud to have his hand on the small of my back, I let him lead me wherever he wanted to go. Because, as long as I had him next to me, I was invincible. I’ll miss that Brooks— always.

Maybe that's the dilemma every victim faces !
It's a great story , very slick and thrilling.
Marni and Gia bring endearing characters to life and the story shall stay with you for a long time !

Andi Harper was stuck in a miserable life. She finally had enough and chose to take life into her own hands. Armed with a fresh future, she was ready to finally breathe free.

Clay had no choice but the run from everything that defined him. After being a ghost for a while, he had become accustomed of being invisible. But his anonymity was jeopardized when fate collided and steered him to another lost soul.

Before reading, I had a thought about this book. And I love how it turned out completely different than expected.

As long as she’s with me, she’ll always be safe. She just needs to keep trusting me.

Clay used to have everything, but in a blink he lost it all. I like seeing how he learned to adapt to his new life. Even with all his trouble, he still spared a space in his heart for others.

I wait to die. Because, even if I survive this moment, another piece of me will be gone forever. And there aren’t many left.

I like how Andi chose to make a difference. She was in a tough situation and it was sad to see how she rationalized some of the situation. I love seeing her fight back to stand up on her own and others.

Her scars aren’t flaws, and there’s nothing ugly about them. They are her story, her past. They reveal her fight and her courage. They show how stunning she really is.

The story was suspenseful and engaging. The first 50% was intense and filled with strong emotions while the second half was more mellow. The plot was interesting and brought up an important real life issue.

Drowning chronicles the lives of two broken souls and how they help keep each other afloat. It would appeal to fans of romantic suspense.

Andi Harper is a gentle-hearted woman caught in an abusive relationship. Fearing for her life, she takes a giant step forward to leave that environment. While on the run, she meets someone who shows kindness but Andi needs honesty in order to find her own truth.

“Though scared of her own shadow, she took each breath with purpose because she knew she might be robbed of her next one.”

Clay is a man on the run from his past. While trying to hide the best he can, he tries to find ways he can reveal the truth and regain his old life. Feeling like his fate is sealed, he is thrust into a situation where he can protect someone else and still feel like he has something to give.

“Now, as I sit here, about to morph into someone new, my biggest fear is letting her down.”

The circumstance that brings Andi and Clay together is unexpected but they find a commonality in their bond. Learning how to trust each other, they are able to gain new strength and hope. For Andi, she is trying to recover from physical and emotional pain and live with her constant fear but finding solace in Clay keeps her grounded. Despite Andi experiencing such abuse, she is still able to trust Clay and their mutual respect for each other leads deep attraction and sexual tension.

“I want to taste her wetness on my tongue, to feel it on my lips, to have it soak in my fucking beard.”

From the first page, the tension is high knowing what Andi and Clay are running from. Reading how Andi was treated stirred deep emotions and it made her healing so much more admirable. Knowing how she is willing to fight for herself and for Clay proved how forgiving and kind Andi’s character could be. The ever-looming doom Clay must face is omnipresent but when he given the choice to protect a loved one, he knows what his decision must be.

“Life doesn’t have to take one direct path toward happiness.”

Told in dual POV, the character dimensionality is clear and the paths they take feel natural and not rushed. In this collaboration between Marni Mann and Gia Riley, the narrative is seamless and the strength of each author is evident. The burdens these characters experience are heavy but they are balanced and ultimately yield to honesty, strength and love.

For those looking for a story full of action, emotion, friendship and love, I recommend Drowning!

"You're bigger than your fears."

Andi Harper was drowning; stuck in a relationship she did not want to be in. She never thought she was going to be in such a horrible situation where she felt trapped and couldn't leave. The man she had felt in love with was abusive and made her think he loved her but little by little she wasn't able to escape his nightmare.

Clay was running from a past; he was cheated and his entire life was ruined. He felt like drowning and couldn't do anything about it until he meets Andi. One faithful day their path crossed together and they both found hope in each other.

“He hurt you, but he hasn’t destroyed you, Andi. Your wounds will heal—now let your spirit bleed.”

description

Clay understood Andi from the beginning without her telling anything; in a way they were both running away and trying to be understood. There was something they were both missing when they first saw each other that kept drawing each other closer. All the events on this book had me on a total nervous wreck the entire time. I wanted Clay to get out of the trouble he was in; for Andi to finally be free and not afraid. I completely enjoyed this ride full of emotions and second chances. The true friendship between Andi and her best friend Camille was so awesome.

“The windows to his soul cut like a knife yet soothe the deepest of wounds.”

This had a bit of action, definably emotions and most importantly friendship and love. I enjoyed how this book was all put together at the end. For readers looking for a good second chance romance this book is perfect for you.

"Swim for me, Andi. Run for me. Continue to be my fighter."

This was brilliant luvd Adrian

I really enjoyed this book. My emotion were so over them place. I felt so sorry for both Andi and Adrian. They were both go in through such a hard time when they meet. They still had to deal with so much without the whole book. Both main characters had me luvin them from the beginning and together I luvd them even more.

Andi's life was getting worst and worst. She didn't think she could deal with Brooke's anymore. There is only so many kicks slaps and punches one person can take. Andi was ready to get away even though it was going to the hardest and most scary thing she as ever done but if she doesn't get away she might not get to see another day.

Adrian is the best at was he does and that's an Olympian swimmer. Swimming for his country is the best feeling in the world. But when someone takes that away from you and turns his team and the whole USA against him. There isnt much you can do but go into hiding cause people want him for what he was meant to of done and he wasn't taking the chance of going to prison.

These two meet under crazy circumstances but one look at Andi and Adrian knew he had to protect her. Even though Andi didn't need another man to tell her what she needed there was something that had her seeing something in Adrian that she had to know. Andi could see he was going through his own pain and she found herself wanting to help him. Adrian could see Andi was dealing with some horrible stuff even though she didn't want him to help her but he was going the fight to help her he needed to.

These main characters had me just falling so hard for them. If anyone needed a HEA it was these two. I luvd how these to fell for each other I really can't say enough about these two I just luvd them. The story was amazing it kept me in the edge throughout the whole book. The writing was great I m a big fan of Marni Mann but I haven't read anything by Gia Riley but I 'll definitely be read more of her work. Overall I highly recommend this book it so good xxx

Having loved Lover , I wasted no time in grabbing another Marni Mann/Gia Riley collaboration, and once again they delivered.

"We're nothing more than two misunderstood people who are done fighting. And we're not going to give up until we come out on top."

I wasn't expecting this to be quite as intense as it was and with romance, suspense, and some action thrown into the mix, Clay and Andi's story is one that takes you on a rollercoaster of a journey.

"He sees the girl beneath the scars and pain, a girl who longs for a better life. A life with choices, happiness and possibilities."

What these characters have experienced and suffered, particularly Andi, tests their resolves to the max, but their vulnerabilities and strengths are the bonds that bind them together through the rough and the smooth. And whilst I thought they trusted each other a little too easily all things considered, and it had a bit of an insta feel, overall it's a story that held on tight throughout and I was cheering both Andi and Clay on from the very start.

"What she needs is new memories. And I'll make sure she gets them."

If you like a dose of angst with your romance, then this is well worth grabbing.

This collaboration between Marni Mann and Gia Riley is chock-full of strife, the feels and action. Both Clay/Adrian and Andi have something to hide. They meet and find themselves in an unfortunate and harrowing circumstance where they're random meeting intensifies and binds them together.

As they hide, on the run from Adrian's scandal and Andi's abusive boyfriend, they struggle to make a life while working through their demons, and finding love with each other. Both characters are endearing and together, they are sweet.

This story is well written and will take you on a roller coaster of action and emotions. If you want a story that will give you both the feels and spike your heart rate, you should definitely read this!

Talk about feeling all the feelings. This book is a rollercoaster ride to say the least. I was angry at some points, I was crying at some points, and I was swooning at some points. Andi is running away from someone in her life who is very abusive. She's broken, but she knows running is her only chance to breath again. To stop drowning.

Clay has gotten into some trouble. He's running from it, and unfortunately has to leave the good life he had behind. His life has always been in the water, but now all it holds are memories he wants to forget, because he can never have them again.

These two are both in a bad spot in life. Andi's looking to start new, and Clay is trying to stay under the radar. When their paths cross, and crap hits the fan, Clay will do anything to make sure Andi gets her new start. Even give up his hiding spot.

 photo E6DEAAE8-56A5-4564-AF0C-B487F1BC6345_zpsjtmmmotx.jpeg

So many unexpected things happened in this story. Some of it shocked the hell out of me to be honest. I think that the amount of events that happened could be considered soap opera level, but the authors handled them well, and they felt fitting to these characters story.

Andi and Clay connect with each other pretty quickly, but it's understandable because they are in similar positions. There are some situations that I feel people may have issues with, but honestly the authors made the characters have believable reactions in the timeline of a fiction novel. Remember people this ISN'T real life. It's fiction, and in my fiction world I think Andi and Clay (cough) are perfect together.

The writing is great and seamless! If I wasn't told I would have no idea this was written by two people. Dual POV of Andi and Clay, and some flashbacks to the past of each character as well. High on the angsty happenings, with some sweet moments mixed in, and the naughty bits are very hot and steamy once they happen.

So good. When are you guys writing together more??? :) yes I'm greedy!

Whew! What a great read this was! I love my romances nice and angsty and it follows my favorite plot line in which BOTH the hero and heroine are running from something in their pasts.

I felt so bad for the heroine, Andi. With great writing from both authors, you felt Andi's pain when reminiscing about the past with her ex and you want nothing more than a beautiful HEA for her. That goes for Clay as well. Both characters were dealt a bad hand and I love how they found solace in each other.

Clay was an amazing hero and I loved how he was with Andi. He gave her exactly what she needed to pick up the broken pieces and make her whole again.

I will definitely be reading more from these authors in the future!

An olympic swimmer shamed. An abused woman running. A tragic accident binds them closer.

There is a lot going on in this story that it's easy to breeze right through. I felt like I finished this in record time. It was good and the writing is great. I think I felt more like I was on the outside looking in and not fully submerged into the book but that may have more to do with my current mood than the actual book.

"The sunshine is always welcoming, but the night sky is unpredictable. Like the ocean, the depths of the darkness lead to shadows of uncertainty. And, when it’s dark, my mind can play tricks on me way too easily."

Drowning is an angsty standalone by authors that I wasn’t familiar with their works. The story was okay for me. Not so bad not so good. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed it but not as much as I liked. I expect more for an angsty.

Clay is an Olympic swimmer but he has gotten into trouble and he must leave his good life behind and run. Andi is running from her abusive boyfriend. He has controlled every single move she made. She is leaving her city for a fresh start, someplace small and quiet to find herself again. When they meet each other Clay does everything to help Andi gets her new start.

Something that I liked about Andi was that although she has lived with a psycho, she is not broken. Of course she is hurt but she has not been destroyed. She had enough strength to start a new life, but sometimes I really got angry at her!

I have a problem! Because they have had issues in their lives, they must have trust issue but their connection is so quickly and they trust each other immediately! Other than that, when she could run why she didn’t go to police and bear that troubles after her running!! Maybe when I have been distracted I skip that part! I don’t know.

Drowning by Marni Mann and Gia Riley
4.5 stars!!!

“If I’ve learned anything, it’s that hollow apologies and empty promises hurt the most.”

Drowning is a book where the hero and heroine could have easily chosen a different path, could have easily given up, where life had thrown them more crap than they could handle and yet they both came out the other side. Battle scarred, emotionally wrecked, yet still breathing. Their different tragedies brought them together, but could the same ultimately tear them apart? When life seemingly has nothing left to give you and yet somehow gives you the greatest gift of all...love, a soul mate, someone who loves with every fibre of their being and who will go to the ends of the earth to protect you.

“I was just a guy delivering coffee, a guy who had a hat to give.”

Andi was a woman who was incredibly strong, both mentally and physically. Years of abuse at the hands of a man who claimed to love her. Physical and mental abuse had all left their scars, some more permanent than others, but she had managed to stay alive…just. Now on the brink of escape it seems life has more curveballs, more tests of strength but most of all resilience and perseverance. While this journey is tumultuous it makes Andi even stronger, but it also gives her one thing she so richly deserves…Clay.

“Like all the other marks that have graced my body, the pissed off blues and purples will eventually morph into a more serene yellow and green. It’s like my face is art class and I’m five years old again, trying to figure out how to blend basic primary colors to create new bolder combinations.”

Clay was a man that had it all, an Olympic swimmer, was revered by all and wore the stars and stripes like a uniform…before it was cruelly stripped away and leaving him with no option to run. Now living off the grid as it were with cash his only accomplice he has managed to evade being recognised before he can clear his name. Fate though gives him one more choice, one that could ultimately blow his cover, but one that could give him so much more…Andi.

“The windows to his soul cut like a knife yet soothe the deepest of wounds.”

This is my first read by Gia Riley but I have read everything by Marni Mann. While I could tell who wrote what, just because of my affinity with Marni Mann’s writing, the story flowed effortlessly and seamlessly. Marni Mann and Gia Riley deliver an intense, emotional read at times while delivering on the suspense and intrigue as you frantically try to understand Clay and the situation he finds himself in. This was a life journey for both characters, a test of strength with underlying messages that make you think.

“He hurt you, but he hasn’t destroyed you, Andi. Your wounds will heal—now let your spirit bleed.”

Both characters are reticent to trust, both have secrets they want to keep, but ultimately their insecurities are what keep them together. Working through them makes them stronger, together they are resilient, together they work, together they are formidable. When life gives you lemons…make lemonade.

“I have to get it right this time—for you and for me. Because once I’m inside you, Andi, I’ll finally be home.”

Entrambi saranno, insieme, in fuga.

First of, I wouldn't say this is a dark-dark read. It was more like a fluffy dark for me. But who am I to judge, right!? I like extremely dark, bloody and insanely creepy. The gruesome the better.

The story has some triggers , which certify as a dark fiction.

The plot is quite interesting. It's packed with suspense, drama, angst, passion and romance.

I absolutely loved the hero from start to finish. He was a sweet, protective alpha and over the moon for the heroine. I thought his character was consistent through the whole story and I had no complains whatsoever.

The heroine on the other hand gave me whiplash. I really liked her at the beginning and at the end. Somewhere in the middle I felt like she was too week and indecisive, but a few pages later she was all strong and determined. I was confused and annoyed, and I had to close my Kindle for an hour or two.

I also liked the support characters, especially the villain and the story as a whole seemed solid.

Before anything else, let me just say that this is another case of “it’s not you, it’s me” sadly. I honestly don’t know what happened. While Gia is a new-to-me author, Marni isn’t. I’ve highly enjoyed Marni’s previous works. So I’m thinking this is just me.

It’s a good story, with lots of good source of angst, suspense and all kinds of hotness. The h (eek, I don’t even remember her name... *reads blurb* oh yes, Andi), running away from a terrible situation and the H, Clay, running away from his present as well. Despite all the ugliness in their lives, they realized they have each other. They ran, they tried, they failed, they succeeded but at a high price, and they fixed things.

Both characters are layered but I felt detached from them and all the events happening in their lives. Rather than being immersed in the scenes, it felt like seeing things from a bird’s eye view. Tried as I could, but sadly the feelings stayed til the end.

Looking at reviews here, I’m in the minority, and I’m glad I am.

•I liked that they were careful with each other
•I disliked her judging him – I was disappointed because he was kind to her and he didn’t deserve that
•I was so not expecting that!
•The book cover is ridiculous – the model is hot but his pose is not
•Hurray for that nurse!
•The speed of their relationship was a little fast

"I’ve endured enough pain.
I’m ready to start over.
I’m ready to start living again."

This one did not wow me. I have to agree with a few other reviews, that I just didn’t feel a connection with this couple. (They fell for each other way to quickly). There was nothing wrong with the story, maybe a little slow for me. I loved Adrian, he was sweet, caring, sexy etc but Andi was all over the place. I felt sorry for her, but it wasn’t enough for me to finish this one. I just lost interest half way through and decided to move on. There are lots of 5 star reviews for this one, so i would say its just me and my current mood.

Andi:

I've endured enough pain. I'm ready to start over.

I'm ready to start living again.

Clay:

I've shamed my family.

I've ruined my life.

I've thrown away everything I ever worked for.

I'll never get out of this mess.

I've never get to clear my name.

We've all had to walk away from something in our lives, but sometimes you have to run. That's what Andi and Clay are doing, but for very different reasons. They both need to escape their pasts, the decisions that have led them to where they are, and they both need to stay anonymous. They don't even know that they other exists, but they are each other's future.

Andi finally hit rock bottom. She can no longer take the beatings that have numbed her body and her soul. It's time for her to run from Brooks. The abuse has escalated and she knows that if she doesn't leave now, she'll be leaving in a body bag. It's not going to be easy, but with the help of her best friend, she finds herself finally free and on a train from NYC to Philly.

Leaving was easy. Waiting for him to find her is harder.

Clay is trying to stay under the radar, which is really hard when your face is plastered all over the national news and cereal boxes. He's trying the make New York is home, but all he really wants to do is stay invisible. But when he spots the badly wounded girl sitting in the back of the train, he can't help himself. He has to help her.

What really gets me is the look in her light-blue eyes. A look of complete terror. You don't get that from tripping over a cord and nailing your face against the corner of an end table. You get it when someone you trust has whipped his fucking hand across your face. I've seen it before. I've stopped it. And, now, I see it in her.

What happens next is unexpected, and will either seal her fate to finally escape the clutches that Brooks has on Andi or bind her to him forever. With Clay by her side, he promises to protect her. Clay has become a mastermind at hiding and he's determined to keep Andi out of harms way, by any means necessary.

The first half of this book is action pact and I was sitting on the edge of my seat to see how everything was going to unfold. But then there was a lull in the storyline. You know that at any minute the other shoe was going to drop, but I was expecting something just a little bit more...surprising? I wanted some more twists and turns.

When I realized that I wasn't going to get more than what I already anticipated I was a little disappointed. Especially because I absolutely loved how devoted Clay was to Andi. He didn't have to sacrifice his anonymity in order to protect a complete stranger, but he did. But his commitment didn't stop with just keeping Brooks at bay. He was determined to show her how a real man treats a woman. He shows her respect, encourages her independence, and before he knows it, he's falling over the edge for the strong willed woman that was facing her biggest fears.

I will say that I usually can tell when a book is written with two authors. Not this one. The chapters flowed well together. It was quite seamless. It just lacked that final wow factor. Overall I found the storyline unique and still intriguing. I'm also a sucker for a solid Epilogue, and I was not disappointed! I hope to see more from this duo, I think that Marni and Gia will only get better with each collaboration!

** ARC provided by the author for an honest review **

Sometimes the difficult reads are the ones that touch your soul, Drowning was just such a read for me.

It's not always easy reading about characters going through emotional pain, however when they FINALLY achieve the happiness they so richly deserve, well then the roller coaster was well worth it.

Andi and Clay are both damaged, they both are running from the past and are so alike in so many ways yet different in others. Life has not been easy for either of them and the difficulties just keep on coming for these two. Everything they have ever known will be tested numerous times but how these two handle circumstances end up defining them as a couple and as individuals.

The range of emotions I felt while reading had me crying, laughing, swooning and biting my nails. The Authors did a fantastic job where the story flowed and was written flawlessly. One of the best Co written books I have read to date.

When you are at your lowest, it's that person who reaches out to you that will save from drowning and from losing yourself to the darkness.

An emotional, gritty, raw and beautiful love story everyone should read.

I gave this book 5 Stars!

So I have read everyone of Marni's books and I have to say that I can't pick just one that is my favorite because she can make you love them, gut you or keep you guessing to the end. With Gia's it's a different story for me because this was the first book I have read from her and I can say that I will be definitely reading more of her work in the near future.

I have to say ladies yall done a AMAZING job at telling Andi and Adrian's story. I was totally blown away how yall were just flawless and I'm still trying to guess who wrote what parts.

Andi is ready to run from her abusive boyfriend. She has a new identity, a place to stay and new job. What she was expecting was to meet Adrian aka Clay, who is running from his disaster of a life in Colorado. When unexpected trouble follows then to PA, Adrian make it his mission to protect Andi at all cost. What he wasn't expecting was to fall in love with her. Can these two run from their past or will it all catch up to them.

This book will hold you captivated, your emotions will be all over the place and you will want to make sure you have a glass or two of wine for the Hot as can be sex.

Well done ladies! Definitely my top read of 2017 so far!

While reading Drowning by Marni Mann and Gia Riley I was hit with a lot of emotions. Having avoided books that dealt with any kind of physical abuse, I was drawn into this book because of the healing powers of their words within the pages.

Adrian/Clay has his own problems, but when he sees Andi, he wants to help. Andi is a broken woman trying to run away and find herself. The ups and downs that these two go through will break your heart and then mend it.

Character development was exceptional in this book. Adrian and Andi are complex and the cast of side characters has been well thought out. You will be cheering for some and condemning others.

This book had to be hard for Ms. Mann and Ms. Riley to write. Parts of it were hard to read. But both of them have produced a beautiful book with love and redemption as the final powerful message.

Two lost people...Both on the run...Running for two different reasons. Can they escape and make a life of normalcy or will their pasts catch up with them?
Andi has been in an abusive relationship for years. Finally working up a plan to escape with the help from her best friend. Making it to the train station, boards the train and takes off to start her new life in a new state.
Clay is a star swimmer who got caught up in a scandal. Set up and left to hang all alone. Living his life on the run now. Working for cash as to not be traced on his whereabouts. Boards a train to visit his mother.
Has fate put these two people on the same train? What happens on this train ride will change their lives forever. Pulling these two lost people together. But can it last when they are both being hunted?
Does anyone ever successfully live a life on the run? Is it possible for these two to survive?

Two people fighting for their lives are thrown together when destiny rocks their world. I couldn't help but truly be invested in their emotional journey. It was one tearful and thrilling roller coaster of a ride. Not knowing what was going to happen next was always in the forefront. The abuse was hard to read about, but Andi was one courageous and passionate woman. And, Adrian, his story was obviously one of deceit and heartache. He was one unselfish and kind man. Always putting Andi before himself. Who says chivalry is dead?? Will this couple be able to fix everything in their lives and eventually be together without always running??

The authors pull you into the story from page one and the excitement does not let up until the amazing conclusion. I was so into Andi and Adrian's story. It was brutal at times, but the happiness between these two was so contagious. I loved the epilogue! It was the perfect ending to such an intense and loving romance...

This was a great book until 46 % a four-star read for me!
What happened?!
Well, the heroine goes through a lot of abuse by the previous boyfriend, in a relationship that she escapes, she was physical and emotional abused, beaten & raped. FOR YEARS! And I can't believe that she would go in instant relationship with another man just like that. She is not even healed and has a lot of bruises, not even talking about her emotional state but there is no therapy whatsoever just our hero, he "cures" all her scars.

Give me a break!!
