Haiku Generosity: #WaterIsLife
This week's original selection is raising awareness and funds to #StandWithStandingRock and the #WaterIsLife movement. The poem #WaterIsLife is intended to stand alone and also function as an "open renku", inviting mass participation in response to 34 of the 36 stanzas and as a living exercise of phenomenology (an awareness of ones' surroundings) in an ever-renewed experience, to result in a #WaterIsLife Renku Remixed open-source collaboration through social media during National Haiku Writing Month for the Public Domain.
Haiku Generosity is a weekly poem series of modern haikai poetry. Each week, a new poem is published to raise awareness and funds toward various noteworthy causes and community building through creative engagement. Proceeds from each poem will be donated towards the corresponding weekly cause with an opening haiku shared freely as a gift to all.
