Born on a North Dakota cattle ranch, Lois Greiman graduated from a high school class of sixty students before moving to Minnesota where she professionally trained and showed Arabian Horses for several years. Since that time she's been a high fashion model, a fitness instructor, and a veterinary assistant. But an incurable case of writing fever put a stop to all those occupations.

Since selling her first book to Avon in 1992, she has sold twelve other historical romance novels, most of which are set in medieval Scotland and involve her very popular Forbes clan. In an attempt to pursue her love of humor, Ms. Greiman has also recently sold three romantic comedies to Harlequin Enterprises.

While caring for three children, fifteen horses, and a menagerie of pets on her small farm in Minnesota, Ms. Greiman writes full time, producing two or three novels a year and garnering much praise from readers and reviewers alike. Affaire de Coeur called HIGHLAND WOLF "magnificent." Romantic Times proclaimed LADY AND THE KNIGHT"...pure magic." Christina Dodd proclaims "Lois Greiman delivers....The Fraser Bride offers delightful characters, breathless adventure."

Her Highland novels have received Affaire de Couer's Critic's Choice Award, Romantic Times K.I.S.S. Award, and been nominated for Romance Writer's of America's prestigious Rita. Her titles have appeared on Barnes and Nobles Best Selling Romance list and won her the Midwest Fiction Writer's Rising Star Award.

I just love this series. Chrissy is fun, smart, sometimes really stupid and all together a great fun main character. Lt Jack Rivera as a love interest is hot, sexy, and downright annoying. Add a few more guys and you have a great story line. The story kept me guessing till the end and I couldn't put this book down.

Chrissy!

Yes, there were some difficulties with getting the correct book. However, it was worth the little bit of time I had to put into getting the right one (had to actually call Amazon). It is typical Chrissy. I loved it. I laughed out loud. I felt angst. The tension between her and her Lieutenant is there along with lots of other characters from the last book. Great book!

This book has been a long time coming! We are definitely getting back to the Chrissy we know and love! Every single crazy inch of her! I definitely love the explosive relationship that she and Rivera have, but I small part of me is rooting for Hiro to make a more permanent apperance!

I received an advance review copy, for an honest review. In 'Unhinged' Lois Greiman has done it again: another snappy, sexy Christie McMullen mystery.

Tension simmers between Christie and Detective Rivera every time they meet, but the presence of the other men showing interest in her only complicates their issues. Her family issues come back to bite her. Her past pops in to stock her fridge. Meanwhile, there's been a murder and one of Christie's clients/friends, Goldenstone is the main suspect. Unconscious and in critical condition, he's in no shape to give a clue. His son's aunt is a cypher, his co-workers add to the confusion. Christie will be lucky to survive this one when the real culprit comes after her.

Really enjoyed this story. I've been following this series fro awhile and it's an automatic buy for me. I'm just wondering what Hiro is up to! Yes, I know he's attracted to Chrissy, but man...I'm just not sure LOL Rivera is hot as usual (love me a handsome cop), and the humour is there along with a good mystery. Looking forward ot the next in the series. Easy, light read.

I've enjoyed the Chrissy book up until now. it's like the author tried too hard: excessive "acting stupid" by Chrissy, throw in as many characters from the past as possible. This book was certainly not my favorite in the series

Love this series!

I can’t wait for the next book! My only critique would be that it is too long between book releases!

I love the Chrissy McMullen series by Lois Greiman, and Unhinged is no exception! The combination of heat and humor keeps you smiling and loving Greiman's characters.

In Unhinged -- Her friend and patient Mickey Goldenstone is hurt and in trouble - no way will Chrissy let the LAPD jump to conclusions while an unconscious Mickey can't defend himself. Against the advice of her best friend Laney and her sometime boyfriend Rivera, Chrissy jumps in with both feet to figure out who shot Mickey and framed him for murder. And in true Chrissy style, things get complicated!

Unhinged reveals both the emotional vulnerability and strength of psychologist Chrissy McMullen, and pulls her closer to the ever hot Lieutenant Jack Rivera of the LAPD. Can't wait to see what comes next - I'm ready for more!

This was probably my second favorite out of this series. I love the dynamic between Chrissy and Rivera and then the feuding between Rivera and Hiro. I can't wait for the next one!

Lois Greiman is one of my favorite authors, and “Unhinged” is a fun-filled mystery that will keep you guessing and laughing right up to the end.

In a coma, and fighting for his life, Chrissy McMullen’s friend, Mickey Goldenstone, is accused of murdering a co-worker and then turning the gun on himself. Feeling that Mickey has had enough hard knocks in his life, Chrissy takes it upon herself to clear his name.

It's Chrissy's zany line-up of friends, family and clients that add a hilarious layer of crazy to her life. And, of course, Lt. Jack Rivera, the love/hate/object-of-lust in her life, is back to add an extra shaker of spice to the mayhem. He would like nothing better than to lock her away – preferably in his bedroom—to keep her safe and out of trouble. He wants her to keep her pretty little nose out of police business. Many of her friends, in their saner moments, would agree. But Chrissy is like a tigress protecting her cub and she’s not above breaking a few laws to get to the truth, even when she begins to suspect Mickey might not be as innocent as she hoped.

I'm never good at guessing who the real murderer is in a mystery and "Unhinged" had enough twists and misdirection to be sure I wouldn't figure this one out either. Can't wait for book
#10.

I've been waiting a long time for the next book in this series and I was not disappointed. I love this character and all of the zany adventures she gets herself into. I'm really hoping that the author continues writing this series!!
