This book is AMAZING, and despite the title, you don't have to be a "girl" or curvy to use this book. It works for men, women, and genderfluid people, of ALL shapes and sizes. Also includes tips for accommodating bad backs, shoulders, gimpy knees... The drawings are wonderful, and the names of the sexytimes positions had me laughing out loud. Also, getting out a pencil to check off the ones I've tried, but with 101, I found many I hadn't. #sexgoals
This book goes into anatomy, toys, and the aspect of getting into a sexy mindset. Sometimes people give up on sex, or love, because we might think that our [insert bodily imperfection here] means we don't DESERVE sex, or love. No. We all deserve those things (if we want them). We don't have to give up sex because some parts are large or don't work the way they used to, we just need to know how to accommodate them, and this book shows us how.
Eh. Not much revolutionary here. And as usual the fat chicks are the “right” type of fat not giant apples with no tits. And body shape and size really matters. And so still nothing for women with giant stomachs.
In addition to recommending sex positions, Elle Chase helps people of all shapes and sizes feel desirable, self-confident—and sexy! We’re including Curvy Girl Sex in the resources section of our upcoming book, Wild Monogamy.
Great introduction to a host of basic sexual positions for ample-bodied and fat folk! I wish the suggestions for how to "maneuver" fat bodies during sex were more mindful of dysmorphia, perhaps consulting trans*/nb sex educators for tips on how to shift positions in more ways than the book suggests. (Girl Sex 101 does an awesome job with this!) The color-coded key that accompanies an explanation of each position was very helpful, too.
3.5 rounded up to 4. I think this book would be a good introduction for folks who don’t really know where to start. For folks who have read many other books on this topic or who are looking for something more specific to much bigger bodies, it doesn’t present anything new (in my personal opinion).
I really enjoyed all the resources and product recommendations in the back of the book and the quotes from different sex educators.
Great book! Very inclusive, great illustrations and descriptions and a variety of different positions, modifications and suggestions for people of all sizes! Definitely recommend checking out the book if you're plus size, or if you have sex with plus sized people!
Conversational tone throughout. I took off one star. There weren't enough illustrations to follow clearly. Very non-judgmental. Very encouraging. Felt like an older sis explaining things to me.
As a curvy girl, I love the fact that she had plus size pics in the book and provided instructions and advice for those of us that have larger figures.
