Eryn is a college junior, working her way through college and depending upon her volleyball scholarship to keep her afloat. Wade is a former Olympian looking to break away from the West Coast scene with a coaching job in Florida. With a position open at Eryn’s school—his alma mater—fate brings them together and sparks collide.
Of course, it isn’t easy. As her coach, he isn’t allowed to date her, and their being together could risk everything the two of them hold dear.
And then there is the drama that surrounds them. Rivals both on and off the court, exs, the media—it is a lot. Could it prove to be too much to bear? Will the two of them overcome the odds and find a way to be together?
This was a cute story. I read it under the Maximum Series Box Set. The storyline was believable and the characters were well written, but there were parts that I would've like to read more about, like the outcome with Tammy and Kelly.
Seriously I think I'm addicted to this author. She is in my "must read" list always.
This book was great. We have Eryn a young university student at the local university on a volleyball scholarship. She works part time at a local restaurant and she goes home as often as possible to help her mom out.
Then we have Wade, the local boy made good, returning home to coach the university volleyball team. Wade is a gold medalist and has been at the top of the volleyball world for a long time. But now Wade is trying to get rid of his tarnished image following him from his time in Hollywood. But the university is trying to bury a scandalous image from their last volleyball coach so he needs to do his best and take the team all the way.
This was a great book, lots of hot chemistry and I really enjoyed reading it.
Generally enjoyed this if I stripped away the volleyball aspect of story. They 10-11 age difference didn't bother me as much as some of the forbidden romances. Would have liked to know more about Wade's situation in CA before moving back to FL. BUT you might want to do some basic research on the sport before you write about it. 1) Modern volleyball sets are played to 25 not 30. 2) During a match, players can't decide to allow one player to serve instead of another - there's a rotation that must be followed. 3) A player transfer from a major university mid-season would never happen nor would the transferred player play immediately.
All in all, I enjoyed the two main characters and how they fought their feelings but in the end, love won out.
I liked Wade & Eryn's story, a forbidden love that shouldn't have started but they couldn't stay away. Wade is an Olympic Medalist and was hired to coach volleyball, he wanted to get away for the Hollywood scene and taking the job was what he needed but he never thought he would meet Eryn. Their connection is real and you can feel that as your reading. Great story with great characters except maybe Tammy & Kelly they drove me insane
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book
Erin is a senior in college with a volley ball scholarship. When the team has a new coach named wade is is cautious, since her last man screwed her over. The new coach is a well known Olympic winner with a tabloid past. Can these two even be together being a coach and student? Great read. This book includes five extra stories. First extra book is called Breathless with Becky and Johnny. Second extra book is called Broken with Jet and Natalie. Third extra book is called Hooped with Jenn and Devon. Fourth extra book is called Loud with Brooke and Emerson. The last extra book is called Priest with Jace and Daphne.
From the blurb, this book was going to be a book I enjoyed. I love a good "taboo" relationship. The build up, however, just took too long for me. Details are great but I felt like a lot of those words continued to delay everything instead of adding to the book.
One of the better stories by this author that I really enjoyed. Wade & Eryn tried really hard to keep their attraction and feelings to themselves but love is love. I'm glad for the twist that separated them because staying on the same team together would have been problematic for both of them. Loved the ending.
