Rate this book
Ten-year-old Corky is excited to get back on the road for the summer season. He is an orphaned circus boy, living under the care of Joey, one of the clowns. But the Burke and Walsh Circus and Menagerie is thwarted at every turn by the henchmen of their rival, the Meeker Brothers' Caravan Circus. Seeking to put the Burke and Walsh show out of business, the Meeker brothers stoop to every low and dirty trick they can concoct. But who is feeding them the Burke and Walsh's secret travel plans? Corky suspects the leader of the Flying Falcon's highwire act, former employees of the Meeker brothers, and he is determined to get the evidence!

Further adventures based on the "Circus Boy" TV series. This time a rival circus tries to sabotage Big Tim's show, with the help of someone on the inside. Corky has to try and find the answers. A decent story, and fairly well written.

Honestly, this is a great book with high stakes. Definitely for children, but still enjoyable. I was not expecting Uncle Clown to get 360 no scoped at the end. I could also be biased because I got this book signed when I met Corky himself

Pretty good for a book from 1958. This was a quick, easy, feel-good story. I did get a chuckle out of cooky vs cookie.
