How do we make sense of this tragedy or any tragedy? These are all-important questions that are answered directly in this book. It's s not meant to be consumed all at once, but to be absorbed over a period of forty days, one day at a time, during the lent season. It could very well be the forty days that changes your world.
I loved the way Rick Thompson explained the way Jesus looked at his death. I really was inspired by how Jesus was obedient. He is my Savior, and nobody can take him away from me.
This is a great daily devotional to read as you go through the 40 days leading up to Easter. Each day is based on a different event from the Passion Week leading to Jesus' crucifixion. The layout of this book is a wonderful way to organize a Lent Devotional. I appreciate the way Thompson explains biblical stories in such detail, pointing out those things that are most spiritually important but also the peripheral things that I had never thought about.
Beyond these things, from getting to serve with Rick Thompson in ministry, I can assure you this work comes from the heart of minister that desires the best for each reader in their spiritual life!
