Old, but not yet ready to give in, he means to see the Brood defeated, and mankind resurgent. And he has come to believe that the secret to defeating the enemy lies within the Watchtowers, ancient structures left by a race of beings known only as the Strangers, who mysteriously vanished two million years ago.
Moira Holdengard is a stellarpath who spends her days updating star maps and creating itineraries for the rich and powerful, and in so doing has explored many desolate regions and countless ancient wonders. When she takes a job with Kalder, however, she finds herself amid bloody wars, old mysteries, and a desperate struggle to reach the oldest Stranger relic ever found.

Zero Star is a good read, well written eBook.
WARNING:
If you are going to read this DO NOT expect to read this one in one night. It took me 3 days of 7hrs a day to read it. It is around 1k pages on a kindle.

An all encompassing space epic!
A fantastic mix of future and current human culture. Has similarities of Star Wars and Star Trek with unique, clever, and creative character and culture development. More along the lines of space opera than the authors other sci fi stories involving Rook which are also great reads. Await the second book as the end does leave you hanging...
