Wendigo: A Paranormal Story by M.G. Herron is a short story that was pretty darn good. I was really on the side of the Wendigo for the first part. (I know, I am terrible but until you read the story, don't judge). I don't want to say too much about this since it is a short story just that it is good and worth the read!

This was an interesting read. A pleasant change to read a paranormal short involving a creature that is not a Vampire, Zombie or Werewolf etc.

The characters are pretty good, Sam being a conceited, selfish person who is instantly dislikeable and Blake, his archaeology student who is studious and hard working and intent on becoming famous.

The story progresses at a fair pace, setting the background nicely regarding the feud with the native Americans and their beliefs, and ultimately builds up to a pretty good climax. The Wendigo creature was a worthy adversary and the twist at the end was a nice touch.

One for fans of the paranormal who would like something slightly different and yet also familiar.

This is an interesting, well-written short horror story about a mythological creature called the Wendigo. The characters are pretty well-developed for a short story and the interactions between them added a lot it.

I always enjoy reading stories based on myth and this was a pretty good one. A good story to read when you want something in the horror genre that is entertaining.

Save tonight, fight the break of dawn. Come tomorrow, tomorrow I'll be gone.

This story brought me back to the days of Eagle Eye Cherry, Nevermind and the ancient practice of purchasing CDs.

Herron delivers a well thought out story about a not-so-well-known beast.

My first encounter with the Wendigo was through Todd McFarlane and Spider-Man. It was fantastic and so was this.

Wendigo is a short read, but well worth the pennies.

AND another home run!

MAN, Blake is in some serious trouble now, I just hope Chief Sitting Eagle gets to him before something else bad happens.

LOVE this story, character details were top notch, although not a fan of Sam though, seems pretty self centered. I do feel bad for Leo, poor kid.

It just goes to show/tell you, somethings should just be left alone.
