Vehn Mathieu possesses one of the most recognizable faces on the planet. He has everything money can buy, but there’s a huge piece missing from his exceptional life that can’t be bought – a soulmate. He longs to find a woman who wants the man behind the persona, a woman who can see beyond the façade. When he finally finds the one, she is completely unaware of his true identity. Will she be able to come to grips with his celebrity and love the man behind the name?

Callie Mackenzie is well-known in her own little niche. Her beauty, talent, and radiant personality hide the dark, jagged scars of her past that threaten to extinguish the light of her future. Her seemingly iron-clad armor can barely protect the fractured soul of the woman beneath as she fights a daily battle to preserve the happiness she has strived so hard to achieve. Finished with abusive men, she prefers to daydream about the one she thinks she’ll never meet. But when Callie’s fantasy becomes her reality, how will she slay her own demons to be with him?

Vehn and Callie together.
When forces outside their control threaten to destroy their fragile new bond, Vehn and Callie come face to face with her deep-rooted insecurities. Their chemistry is unshakable, but is their untried relationship strong enough to endure the hardships of his fame and her past? Is the reward of being together worth the price each must pay to keep their one true love?

Spinner of tales and dirty of mind.

Writing is a passion I finally gave in to. I popped my cherry with the Exotic Ink series which began as contemporary and morphed into my paranormal spin-off series, Mythical Ink, all of which alpha males and hard-headed bad boys are brought to heel by the women that capture their hearts.

Open your kindle, or crack open a paperback and meet my cast of characters. No matter how rocky the paths they must travel, or how difficult the obstacles thrown in their way, love will always prevail in the end. Escape your world and immerse yourself in theirs, a whole new place of intrigue, passion, and happy endings that you’ll never want to leave.

These stories are only the tip of my iceberg. Follow me in the links below and never miss what’s to come.

OMGOSH! This turned out to be a great read.

So I had a hard time in the beginning & leading up towards the middle, with our heroine. I understood her misgivings/fears, I did. I just felt like certain occurrences should have jolted her out of her way of thinking a lot sooner. Then what she did or how she handled the big eff up 75% in the novel, I was soooo ticked at her. I mean I totally saw myself leaping into my kindle, into her living room and shaking the ever loving crap out of her & letting Vehn in her house, so he could explain himself. LOL!

This was a very sexy, sweet, emotionally driven read. I loved/liked all the main supporting cast here. Hints to some of their individual stories, seem intriguing. Got my nosy behind dying to know what the deal is.... Sorry but I laughed so hard when it was finally revealed how Brent died.

I REALLY love Tegan To be quite honest, I was crushing on him way more than I was Vehn *Whispers* Sorry Vehn.

I think/hope given where Rayna & Tegan's story start here in this book, that their book will be off the chain interesting, intense, and beautiful. #CannotWaitForTheirStory.

Oh and Regina,

Really loved Vehn, he was so sincere, gorgeous inside and out. Callie was a struggle for me. I liked her, felt for her, but she just came with too much self doubt. Way too much inner dialogue about her insecurities. This was a very sexy read but not sure I want to continue with this boxed set.

Good premise, really needs editing. As in, people are intimidated, not "intimated". Eyes flare, they don't "flair". And, there is no such word as "pertinacious". I had to look this last one up since I got so distracted by it. Some don't care about proper spelling/grammar/word use but I find it very distracting when a book is poorly edited, which means I'm not in the story with the characters.

Normally, I'd only dock one star for editing issues but this story was a gotta-put-it-down. Why? I empathized with both characters (one had body and relationship issues, the other had similar baggage) but I found them immature and prone to over thinking everything. I also got really tired of exclamation points everywhere... for me, the wild swings were too much, as in "Awesome!", "Oh no!", "He's so good looking!", "I'm so turned on!" and now "I'm so embarrassed I run away from the party like Cinderella ran from the ball!". Overall, this writing is perfect for soaps and telenovelas but not what I enjoy reading. So there went another star.

Further, I prefer characters who don't speak so long you're thinking, "damn, take a breath already". These characters did that when talking and they also explained way too much, way too quickly, to the reader. A little mystery and slow reveals build tension and keep us engaged. I felt like everyone over shared. Bummer, another star.

In the end, I couldn't bring myself to finish. Maybe this author's style just isn't a fit for me and she might be for you. Just note that, if you get distracted by editing issues, you're gonna find several here.

Explosive

Callie had been burned before so now she lived in her fantasies of a supermodel. I mean there is no way a fantasy of a supermodel could really happen right?
Vehn the hot supermodel was a nice guy but prone to using women for what he wanted.
This story had me captivated from the beginning. I loved every twist, turn and nuance.
I also have a thing for tattooed guys but that is for another time.

Exotic Ink Series

Vehn is a strong start to a new series. It's a good story with a sweet reminder to look below the surface. Not sure the extra subtitle of "Erotica for Women with Explicit Sex" is necessary, but I guess it's a warning if you are easily offended.

Callie Mackenzie is a tattoo artist at Exotic Ink Tattoo Studio and is the biggest fan of male super model Vehn Mathieu. Callie has been struggling to find herself after her last relationship with Ryder who was extremely possessive, controlling and very damaging to her self esteem.

Vehn Mathieu just wants to be an ordinary guy who can live his life outside the spotlight. His last girlfriend was not into him for the right reason and he decides to go out one night to a costume party so he can just be himself without anyone knowing who he is.

When Callie discovers who Vehn really is will she back away or jump on the chance to be with her dream guy? Soon Callie discovers that being with Vehn is not what she thought it would be like and finds herself in over her head. Can she trust him with the truth or will she not give him a chance to explain?

I really enjoyed this book but I found the beginning a little slow to get into. I liked Callie but I almost found her two different people as she seemed to have so much confidence at times and then at other times she completely closed off and believed she wasn't good enough for anyone. I realize Callie's ex Ryder did a lot of psychological damage but yet when she was at the masquerade party she had confidence.

Vehn was an interesting character for sure as he was so succesful as a model yet he really wanted anonymity to be a photographer and live his life without the press in his face. He wants to meet a girl who likes him for him and not for his name. But obviously he has had some issues in the past with the women he has had relationships with.

I am really liking the whole crew of Exotic Ink Tattoo and everyone who works there. I love the closeness of Evana, Rayna and Callie and how they all support each other through their ups and downs. I really think there is more to Evie than we know unless we learn in a future book that she has some sort of illness which makes her wear wigs. I loved the other side of Cole that we saw when Callie was struggling. I'm also really looking forward to getting to know Tegan more in future books.

I really liked how Callie sought to improve herself with help from Dr.V before going to figure things out with Vehn. They definitely had their ups and downs and hopefully they have figured it out for the next book! The key is communication!!

Imagine meeting and falling in love with your celebrity crush??
When Callie a tattoo artist at Exotic Ink meets Lee at a Halloween costume party, he is the first man to really grab her attention other than
her celebrity crush, Vehn Mathieu. Imagine her surprise when she finds out Lee IS Vehn.
Callie and Vehn are so hot I love their chemistry. The book has great supporting characters as well, they are equally well developed and will make you love the friendships they share. It makes Exotic Ink more like a family.
My only issue with Callie's character is that her insecurities bring the story to a standstill at times; She spends too much time in her own head.
In the end Callie and Vehn must overcome their fears and struggles in order to have their HEA.
Overall I enjoyed this book it is a whirlwind of emotions sad, funny, shocking and at times heartbreaking.

Dreams do come true

Insecure yet sexy redhead plus super hot male model add in meddling friends, exes and paparazzi. Great ride (in more ways than one). I especially appreciate that the heroine is a voluptuous, curvy redhead not a blonde stick like most ;-). Heat factor intense with an absolute HEA. Great work!

****SOME SPOILERS****

Firstly I'd like to start by saying this is a debut author. I had the honour of being one of the first to read this book, so thank you LS you rock!
I absolutely loved the book and the characters in Vehn, they all have a really close bond to each other and always have each others backs. There are a few characters that won't win over any hearts though.

Callie Mackenzie is a tattoo artist at Exotic Ink, she's sassy, funny, feisty and swear like a sailor. But that's just Callie on the surface, she has been screwed over in the past in previous relationships which have left her with low confidence about her body and loads insecurity issues. She would love a lovey dovey relationship but she can't see that in her future, so she'll just have to continue her fantasy sex life with super hot model Vehn Mathieu in her head. What's the actually chances of meeting the stud in person anyway....How wrong she was. She hooks up with the hottest guy at a fancy dress party. Then meets him when he's not in fancy dress and she can't believe her eyes….

Vehn Mathieu is a world famous model but his real passion in life is photography. He has been dating Regina who is also a model for a year, but he doesn't love her, she's out for herself using him to make a better name for herself in the industry. Time to ditch her. He wants someone who loves him for who he really is a man with a heart of gold. His best friend Tegan moves in with him because he's landed himself a job at Exotic Ink. He goes as Tegan's plus one to a costume party. That's where Callie comes into his life....He's in disguise, she doesn't know who he really is but she likes him and they have an instant connection, in more ways than one. She's the most beautiful woman he's ever laid his eyes on and can't wait to see her again...

Life isn't going to be easy for them Regina is out to boost her modeling career and she doesn't care who gets hurt by her malicious scheming.

How will Callie react to her fantasy orgasm maker being the masked superhero in disguise?

Will Callie & Vehn's relationship be strong enough to survive being in the spotlight with all her insecurities?

I can't wait for book 2 and see what's in the future for this lovable group of friends.

I was so excited to get my hands on Vehn, the debut novel of LS Anders. I really had no clue what to expect. The teasers were sizzling with lust and although there is a lot of that too in the book, there is also so much more.

Vehn Mathieu is a supermodel, a male in the cover of every magazine. His looks have made his fortune, but now he has decided to retire from modeling and pursue his true dream, to become a photographer.

Callie is a tattoo artist, well-known in New York circle and she works in Exotic Ink. She drools over images of Vehn, but has nearly given up hope to find someone ever again in real life.

A Halloween masquerade party brings Vehn and Callie together but it certainly isn't happily ever after. Callie fell for the model Vehn Mathieu, but there's so much more than what meets the eye. The real Vehn is not the man she had up on a pedestal. She has a hard time trusting him and her misgivings are a serious threat to their relationship. But she can't help it, her past has destroyed whatever there was left of her self-confidence. There is also something in Vehn's past that is like a wrecking ball on the loose. Will Vehn and Callie find their way or was it just a few moments of heaven between the sheets, nothing to do with the real life?

It is a fantastic debut and I enjoyed reading it! LS Anders doesn't underestimate her readers. I loved how she has written a novel with many layers and interesting characters. It's not just about the main couple, so many other characters get page time too and that doesn't happen at the expense of the story flow. What I really liked about this novel, that it isn't a straight forward HEA. It's a bumpy ride towards happiness and Callie's issues with herself are real for many women out there. LS Anders has the talent to write good, entertaining novel with imperfect characters that make mistakes and do wrong by the people they love. They grow and learn, they need to apologize and forgive because they're only human. And that is what gives this novel a taste of real life.

Predictable, and perhaps a little rocky towards the end, but fell-in-love-with-Vehn kind of read.

I really enjoyed the build-up and the set up for the book, although I was left disappointed towards the drama near the end. It's taken so much care in building up the relationships, the world, and the characters, that I felt cheated on with the bubbling up of the . I found it a little contrived and had a hard time believing that the issue dragged on that long. for the reasons they've had. Having said that, maybe I've just been spoiled by the relatively low-angst books I've been reading recently.

Also, the pacing near the end didn't feel like a natural development to me, especially because it was in an odd spot so near the end of the book. BUT the super sweet ending acknowledging this almost made up for it. :)

Having said that, as a whole, this was a fun and sexy read. Some people may be bothered by Callie's self-esteem issues, but Vehn was so sweet to her that I didn't mind so much.

I loved secondary characters, especially Evana and Rayna and Avie. Theres a tiny hint of a paranormal aspect, which I actually liked. :D While I never felt lost in the story, I felt like all these characters had their own secrets and pasts, that if i was told this book was the start of a spin-off of another series, I'd have no trouble believing it. They're intriguing on their own and I can imagine them with their own books.

Overall, really enjoyed this quick and steamy read.

Vehn: Exotic Ink Series Book One by LS Anders
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 4.5 Stars

Vehn is the first book in the Exotic Ink Series by LS Anders. It is also the first book I have read from this author. This book was a great read! It is based around a tattoo parlour in New York.

Callie is a tattoo artist, and a very good one at that. On the outside she seems sassy and confident but on the inside she is completely the opposite. Thanks to her ex she has anxiety, feels worthless and is a little broken. All she wants is to find happiness and a man she can call her own.

Vehn is a male model and is quite famous. He feels like there is something missing from his life. He wants to find a nice girl who won’t just date him for his wealth and status. He hopes that one day he will find what he is looking for.

I thought this story was really great and I loved the storyline. The characters were really well written, I especially liked Tegan and his brooding. Callie and Vehn had some great chemistry with each other, and they had some pretty hot scenes together. I felt so sad when I read some of Callie’s thoughts and I actually cried. She actually reminds me a lot of myself in ways, so it hit close to home. I loved Vehn’s character, he is a famous model but he is so grounded. He is adorable with the way he cares for people and the way he wears his heart on his sleeve. Once I started the book I didn’t want to put it down at all, I needed to read it the whole way through. I can’t wait to get into the next book in the series.

Saw this recommended by one of my friends and really enjoyed it. Loved the H in this story and laughed my butt off with some of the h's lines..

“This is the only man I wouldn't mind licking the sweat off his balls"
“I know what you mean. I've gotten so good at getting myself off, that I just scream my own damn name,” Callie admitted. “I'm the best I've ever had.”
“Yeah, I always, at the very least, like to cop a feel. I have to see what the guy's packin' before I commit, since my vagina is allergic to small penises,”

Loved these metaphors:

"You know what? I’m done talking to you. You’re nothing but a load your mama should have swallowed.”

"Even after all the counseling, there still remained a residual stain from Ryder's interfering in her psyche. It was like when you spilled coffee on white carpet, and it was allowed to seep deep inside the pad beneath. Even though you cleaned it, the stain would gradually resurface and you would have to clean it again and again… and again. Ryder was the coffee stain on her white carpet of life."

Great storyline, solid secondary characters I can't wait to read more about, funny, sexy, and written well. H/h didn't meet until about 30% but other than that, fun, enjoyable read. For a debut novel, well done!

I had a hard time with this book - I wanted to love it and at times I did, but most of the time I just wanted to be done.
There are glimpses of brilliance when the main characters interact and the sex, well L. S. Anders certainly knows how to make it hot, as in really HOT!!!
My issues are all the overthinking and feelings described. There were so much thinking and analyzing feelings, that there was not much room for the actual story - it has a really appealing plot, but it didn't quite get to break through.
I have read several other reviews of this book - they are raving and gushing, but I just was not engaged. It could be, that this authors writing style and I don’t click, I could be in the wrong kind of mood for reading, or something else. I don't know... This book was just not for me.

Vehn Mathieu is one of the good guys. He is a model that the press can’t seem to find any dirt on. Becoming a model was something he didn’t plan on, but once it happened there was no stopping the ride, until now. He has had enough of always being recognized and just wants to go back to living a normal life. He wants to meet someone that likes him for himself and not his face or money.
Callie Mackenzie loves her work as a tattoo artist. Her focus is on her job as her past has too many scars to want to think about. After her latest breakup, she has decided to daydream about the one she will never meet. But what happens when that fantasy becomes a reality? Could they be who they were looking for all along, or can it never be like in the movies?
This was the first book I have read by this author and there were several times I struggled with the book. I’m not the biggest fan of books written in the third person, so the fact that this is how the story is told could be my issue and nothing to do with the book. I found that there were times the story was all over and not having a consistent flow timewise which made it difficult for me to fully follow. While I really enjoyed the actual concept of the story the delivery just didn’t do it justice. Some things felt rushed while other things dragged and one potential plot that was hinted about seemed to just disappear. There was a small surprise twist to the story that was enjoyable to read and added to the story. I read and reviewed for KFA.

Vehn

Vehn..is the 1st story I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. I loved the lady characters Evana, Rayna, Callie and Avie that make up Exotic Ink along with Cale. Teagan is introduced as a new artist to the studio.
This is Callie aka beautiful curvy tattoo artist story along with her celebrity crush Vehn. Vehn aka Teagan's best friend/brother(notblood)/roommate is a famous underwear model who wants to date someone that knows the real Vehn not the public figure Vehn. So he decides to attend a Halloween party with Teagan dressed as Spiderman named Lee. He wants to hide so he can have a goodtime without everyone trying to get a piece of him. Callie will knock Lee/Vehn off his bar stool and make him dream of satin sheets. So what happens with Callie finds out Lee is really her dreamman Vehm...
Well take a ride with Exotic Ink...into laughter, tears and steamy scenes!!!
Happy Reading!!!

I received this book from a friend and am reviewing as it it a damn good read.
For a debut novel LS Anders has done herself proud, the storyline is terrific. The characters are very well fleshed out, and you can see them in your minds eye.

We have a firey, feisty, extremely outspoken, say it with out a filter, cuss the crap out of you, young tattoo artist named Callie, who has massive insecurities about herself and her looks, due to disappointment and dangerous obsession in her past.
Our hero is Vehn Matthieu, a breathtakingly handsome, very wealthy male model, the very one that Callie fantasises about. The chemistry between them is great and you don't want it to end.
The story has a lot of secondary characters that make it well worth reading.
I can't wait to read more about these two and hope others get a story as well.

Surprisingly

Wow, when I started reading this book it took me awhile to get into it. It was not holding my attention so I stopped reading, well I decided to give it another shot and let me tell you I am so glad that I didn't give up on Vehn! I fell in love with the characters and the whole dang storyline. It was surprisingly good, I had almost written this book off but now I am hooked and can not wait till more books are available. Vehn is book one in the Exotic Ink Series and I promise you will not be disappointed, LS Anders is definitely going on my authors to follow list. When you read this book, there is a character in it that a swear has special powers but nothing is said to lead to it, but I have a feeling it may be explained in later books. This is a must read!!!!

Vehn Mathieu is a model who at the cusp of ending his career and starting down another path. He wont miss it and hopes that one day he can meet someone who wants more from him then to help be a stepping stone for their career.

Callie Mackenize has been moving forward trying to be the best version of herself but some days are harder then the rest. When she meets Vehn at a costume party she gives into the attraction but doesn't realize who he really is. When he asks her out she is uncertain if a man who can have any woman he wants could really want her. Can Vehn and Callie build a life together or will they be doomed before they even start.

A bit angsty but I did like this story. Callie is a great character with problems you can relate too. I liked that she was realistic. Great story.

This book was ok and an easy, quick read. However, I had a hard time with some of the dialogue. The conversations between the guys and Vehn’s internal thoughts were not “manly” and made Vehn seem a bit feminine. Callie was pretty annoying most of the time and I couldn’t really see them as a couple since Vehn seemed like such a nice guy while she could be so brash and bitchy. I was also a bit surprised that nothing developed with her exboyfriend as it seemed like the author was trying to set up that storyline. Anyway, the book was ok but immature. Not sure if I’ll continue on with the series though.
