Their coming together is an inferno, and, too late, they realize that they have way more to lose than they ever imagined....

I've been writing as long as I can remember and all of my stories always held a thread of romance (even when I was writing about a prince who could shoot lasers out of his eyes). I love creating unique characters, love giving them happy endings and I even love the voices in my head. There's no other job I would rather be doing. In September 2002, when I got the call that Silhouette Desire wanted to buy my first book, Desert Warrior, it was a dream come true. I hope to continue living the dream until I keel over of old age on my keyboard.

I was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. I also spent three years living and working in Japan, during which time I took the chance to travel around Asia. I’m back in New Zealand now, but I’m always plotting new trips. If you’d like to see some of my travel snapshots, have a look at the Travel Diary page (updated every month).

So far, I've worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher and not necessarily in that order. Some might call that inconsistency but I call it grist for the writer's mill.

Great!

Wow Nalini Singh is an amazing author! I just finished the psy-changeling series for the first time, these are the first books I have read by this author. She keeps characters and you get to see them in other books and you get to see them in daily life, I can’t think of anything better from an author! How often you feel so sad favorite characters gone with small mention if in a series or just the characters in conflict the peaceful times happening between books. In her books You actually get more of the story and book 15 was just life and how all the characters interweave together! I wish all authors did this, I am just so pleased and humbled by her story craft! Thank you so very much from the bottom of the reading heart of one avid reader!

I feel as though I know these Psy-Changelings and Humans, where they live, how they live, who they are and who they love! I know we are good friends because I miss them already! Nalini Singh drew me in and didn't let go. What a world, so complex, so very interesting and engaging to say the least. The ability to write 15 stories in a series without making the reader want to scream for some release or a fast forward button is a remarkable accomplishment IMO. I will not forget these people and their stories. Thank you my daughter, for introducing them to me. What a ride, I'd do it all over again!

Good series with a few issues.

I love this series. Despite the rampant, hurtful ableism towards anyone with a mental illness (which I have) it's still a great series. It does almost everything perfectly except for that rather glaring issue. I only wonder what it could've been without the harmful thread if mental illness being 'wrong'. Heavy on binary male/female language. Fantastic romance and sexy times, believable worldbuilding, wonderful friendship and interconnectedness.

All of this series is fun to read. Some of the stories are also heart-rending. I love how each story is a different couple but still entangled together.

Awesome

This book is an awesome close to the first arc of a storyline and the barest beginning of the second arc. It's the perfect transition book for the Psy-Changling series.
