209 books845 followersB. Jeyamohan (also credited as Jayamohan) is one of the most influential contemporary, Tamil and Malayalam writer and literary critic from Nagercoil in Kanyakumari District in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
He entered the world of Tamil literature in the 1990s, Jeyamohan has had impacted the Tamil literary landscape as it emerged from the post-modern phase. His best-known and critically acclaimed work is Vishnupuram, a deeply layered fantasy set as a quest through various schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. His other well-known novels include Rubber, Pin Thodarum Nizhalin Kural, Kanyakumari, Kaadu, Pani Manithan, Eazhaam Ulagam, and Kotravai. His writing is heavily influenced by the works of humanitarian thinkers Leo Tolstoy and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Drawing on the strength of his life experiences and extensive travel around India, Jeyamohan is able to re-examine and interpret the essence of India's rich literary and classical traditions.

Must read to know about Indian spiritual center point and what is said in the ancient tamil literature on spiritual thinking (here i mention it spiritual i don't know the one specific equivalent english word of what is said in this book). This is very intense book at the outset, once the reader gets into the line of what is said in book the reader will get insights about what is said. The book will set the reader to think and read about various dimensions of what is said as athma, yogam, gyanam, dhyanam, adhvitham, many many more. This book is unique to tamil reader, need to read this book with open mind if any affiliation to any particular already conditioned mind this book will not give any new dimensions.
Extensive citations on various authors makes one to read more on understanding on Indian line of quest on understanding athma, and Bhramam. This book will be a start to read more there are lot of reference to other books.

Good !It's better for Jeyamohan to restrict himself to positive views on Hinduism rather than blatant criticism without any solid evidence.
