Hailey is tearing through this Scooby Doo books like no one's business. I think she likes the layout--large-ish text with some pics every other page or so and she likes the predictability.

Another fun Scooby mystery with some illustrations that need some work. Predictable as always but still fun. An interesting plot with a rodeo clown bad guy. Great for kids and for Scooby fans.

Another Scooby-Doo book we worked our way through. After reading so many in a row we've learned a few things. One is that James Gelsey is, out of the handful of Scooby-Doo authors we've read so far, the best of the bunch. I'll zero in on a Scooby book with his name on it before any other.
Another is that Julia much prefers the Collect-the-Clues books to the Mysteries.
Scooby-Doo! and the Rowdy Rodeo is from the Mystery series and when we don't have any Collect-the-Clue's laying around these do just fine.
The story here is much the same as in any of Gelsey's Scooby books. It's easy to follow along, each to understand and age appropriate.
The illustrations are just what I want with a book like this. Enough to keep her engaged should she find a page or two boring but not so much that it's a picture book.
I have a funny feeling by the time we're finished (or Julia's reached adulthood) we'll have read every single Scooby-Doo book in the world.

We love all things Scooby-Doo, so whenever we find a Scooby-Doo book we haven't read yet at our local library, we just have to borrow it. The stories in the Scooby-Doo! Mysteries series are simple, fun, and we enjoy reading them together. Right now, our girls really like these short chapter books, but they also like the shorter picture books too. We've read over forty of these stories, but there are so many more out there...I think we'll be having fun with these stories for years to come.
This tale involves a rodeo and an old cowboy movie star in need of funds. Scooby and the gang are as curious and persistent as ever, solving the mystery in no time. We enjoyed reading this story together.

this review is not only for this book but for all other little apple books reviewed hereafter.
while they don't hold as much of an appeal to me as the "collect the clue" books they still hold a great deal of entertainment for children. as any other Scooby Doo book the gang happens across a mystery and they end up solving it. pretty run of the mill but like stated before, enjoyable.

When I was in third grade, for some reason I really liked Scooby-Doo. This one wasn't the most exciting one that I read though.

Scooby and the gang help take down a clown who has intentions of ruining a rodeo. This book is somewhat boring, but Scooby Doo lovers will enjoy it.
