Redemptive Blood continues this series with the same relentless supernatural chaos — and once again, I feel like I’m hovering just outside the story, watching everything unfold through a fogged‑up window. I’m closer than I used to be, I can feel myself understanding more of the lore and the characters, but I’m still not fully in it. And yet… I can’t stop. I HAVE to know what happens, even when it feels like emotional sandpaper.
Adi and Slash finally find a sliver of safety under a witch’s protection — but of course nothing in this series is ever what it seems. Safety is temporary. Safety is suspicious. Safety is just the calm before the next supernatural disaster.
Jenni — not you, babe, the book Jenni — is no longer fully human and gets a second chance she never expected. Her reaction? Pure flight. She runs, dragging a former addict and her four‑year‑old daughter into the chaos with her. It’s messy, it’s desperate, it’s very on‑brand for this series where no one ever gets a clean break or a quiet moment.
Meanwhile Lazarus is facing Blood Sacrifice for his sins against the Lycan, and Drek is out here swearing blood oaths like he’s trying to hold the entire world together with sheer stubbornness. Laz’s chosen is gone, fleeing into the unknown, and the question becomes: can he survive the torture, the punishment, the consequences, and still claw his way toward redemption?
And then there’s the looming horror of the full moon — will Jenni find others like her before it rises, or will she turn into something monstrous and destroy the very people she’s trying to protect?
It’s a LOT.
It’s ALWAYS a lot.
This series has never heard of subtlety; it just sprints through supernatural warfare like it’s being chased by a pack of rabid wolves.
The stakes are high. The lore is deep. The emotional beats are sharp. But the narrative still jumps around in ways that leave me scrambling to catch up. I want to be immersed. I want to feel anchored. Instead, I’m hovering just outside the emotional core, trying to grab onto something solid before the story swerves again.
3 stars because:
It’s dramatic, intense, and undeniably addictive.
But it’s also disjointed, overwhelming, and emotionally distant in places.
I’m invested, but I’m tired.
I’m confused, but I’m committed.
I’m hurting, but I’m turning the page anyway.
Because at this point?
I need to see how this supernatural saga ends — even if it drags me through hell with it.

Redemptive Blood (Book 7
Redemptive Blood (Book 7) ~~ This was one of the more emotional entries. The title fits: redemption is messy, painful, and sometimes violent. Julia confronts the ghosts of her past and the choices she’s made, and characters get opportunities to change — or to burn.
Scott’s loyalty and flaws both come to the surface here in ways that surprised me. People you thought were one-dimensional reveal deeper motivations, and that makes the story richer. It’s the kind of book that digs into character at the same time it cranks up the action.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.

In the absence of hope, darkness bloomed like a black orchid.
Since this is the first time I have read this series, I am reviewing it as a whole (books 1-8), rather than each book. WOW! What a truly FANTASTIC series!!! This series is my soap opera, in all the best, juciest ways! So addicted! Need to know what’s happening and NOW! :) I was thoroughly addicted, caught in its grip, unable to put it down! I love, Love, LOVE how Tamara Rose Blodgett weaves such an intricate story complete with love, heartbreak, heartache, passion, friendship, enemies, lovers, allies and oh so much more all while seamlessly integrating so many characters to love & hate (sometimes both!) who belong to any one (or more!) of numerous species but done in a way to keep the reader engaged and following along, incorporating them without even realizing just how many people you now know & follow! It’s in depth in all the right places & ways and has such deep, dark passionate tones, as well as the lighter, happier sides too, that are all brought together so perfectly to make one helluva unique and creative series! I am blown away by the multitude of species and their abilities both as a whole, as well as what each individual is capable of! Each and every aspect & piece of the story brings layer upon layer of enrichment from complex characters, scenery, flow of the storytelling to the compelling storylines! Love the vernacular, quips, quotes & wording that fits for each character and/or species, meaning that the teens or "young'ins" speak & act as they should, while the "old" ones speak as they should, which adds an even deeper layer of "realism" to the story & characters. It was so hard to figure out the "good guys" from the "bad guys", (which is a great thing!) but what chafed me the most is falling for one that I was so sure was worthy of my adoration, then finding out he is total scum!! LOL But that is why I love, Love, LOVE Tamara's books! Her ability to write & create such deeply enriched books that capture my attention, drawing me in so deep that it feels like I am living the story, being surprised by every twist & turn that I never saw coming, really meeting & becoming friends (or enemies) with the multifaceted characters, becoming said characters, seeing every single bit of it in my mind’s eye, time after time, book after book, series after series, no matter the genre, is proof of just how phenomenally talented and exceptionally gifted Tamara Rose Blodgett truly is and why she is one of my absolutely favorite authors to read & binge read!!

Great series
I read all seven books back to back - now I wish I didn't have to wait until next year to see how it all ends. They're are so many different things going on. It'll be hard to remember it all!
If you like werewolves, vampires, angel-enhanced humans with powers, demonic, angelics, and fae, this series is for you.

OMG. What an unbelievable book this was. I am now on book 9 and it is just as good as the rest. Young Love. Death. The Rare One. Were. Vampires. The Feral. Blood Singers. Lots of humour amongst the blood and gore. And hot hot s----y stuff. Where on earth does this author get her imagination? Brilliant series.

This is another exciting book that you wont want to put down once you start. It is best to read the other books so you know what is going on and who is who.

Beautifully written exceptionally graphic, heart grasping, dark and intoxicating...It's prodigious, fun, yet forbidden and sinfully exceptional! A must read! - Nook Books and More Blog
The book gives you countless POV so you can follow each one with ease and really enjoyed it because I was able to see everything from each persons perspectives.
This world continues on its emotional roller coaster and bleeds into your heart. Be prepared to experience all emotions. You will not want to put this book down.
This series puts an amazing twist on such a diversity in the paranormal world. It explains the battles that all diversity struggle with even in their world. I found that interesting.This seventh book in the series brought characters together that needed each other in so many more ways than even we knew. There were promises made and broken, love fulfilled and betrayed. We see yet another heroine in this book continue her journey.
But wait the story doesn't stop there! It seems, no matter which direction the these characters seem to turn, someone or something is trying to come between them. Though sometimes they put it on themselves, the journey is epic as it continues to play out! The twist and turns are phenomenal. I couldn't put it down!
Questions are answered, and there are sweet tender moments that have you smiling and thinking, "It's about time!" It's still dark and fantastic journey of the characters we haven't been introduced to yet. People we thought were trusted have turned leaving devastation in their wake. It gives you a sense of WTH? For instance, Adi and Slash find refuge with the unexpected. Jenna is giving a second chance of a lifetime. What will she do with it? I love this new Jenna. She rocks!!! lol It's so freaking epic! I can't wait to continue this journey into Tamara's wonderful mind!

I wanted so much for things to work out for Adi and Slash, but what happened after the clash in the hospital parking garage, I wasn't sure if they were even going to come out of it alive. Then the Jenni factor came into play, as Adi couldn't let her die and bit her, changing her entire world. But one of the best parts is the continuing saga of Lazarus and Tessa, the demon from hell and the lycan he's falling for.
The excitement did not let up through the entire story, and the tentacles of story line spread out in directions I had no idea what to expect at any given time. But Ms. Blodgett has a way of keeping us enthralled and wanting more. Here characters are brilliant and animated. Her stories are rich and imaginative. This one is all of that an more. There are more characters connected to this book whom we haven't hear from in a while, and with each story ending at a cliffhanger, I'm looking forward to the next segment in this colorful tale.
