I've been reading romances ever since I can remember.

I love writing and I'm in an MFA program to hone my skills!

I'm publishing my very first romances about billionaire bad boys and the college grad women who fall in love (and lust) with them.

If you like reading romance novels that are interracial and character driven, then contact me for an advanced copy. I would love a review on Amazon or on your website!

Any and all advice you want to share about books or self-publising, feel free to share! I'm new to self-publishing on Kindle and Amazon.

I also watch sports, practice yoga, eat veggies (but I love a steak once in a while).

In my day dreams I travel the world with my billionaire boyfriend reading romances and exploring new cuisines.

"Surrender" Military Billionaire BWWM Romance: (The Thorne Boys) is by author Serenity Paz.
My Rating: 3.5
Cover: 3
Novella 104 pages

This was a very short story of a woman seeking 'the one' and a man just trying to find his HEA.

Michelle and Ben.....

Michelle is a beautiful, lonely African-American woman. She is well-educated having received a Master's degree from a prominent Ivy League school. Michelle resides in Manhattan and spends her days working as a pre-school teacher. Lately Michelle has been putting quite a bit of time and effort in on-line dating in the hopes she'll find the kind of unconditional love that her parents had. So far she hasn't had any luck. In fact her recent dates are questionable and to say that is an understatement. Then she meets a sexy, tattooed bartender named Ben and Michelle is hopeful that her luck might just change. I loved Ben! He was amazing. Definitely too good to be true. Given that she is wary to have a one-night-stand with a man she just met, Michelle can't ignore the strong connection she feels to Ben.

This is an instant-love romance. For Ben it was love at first sight. However, Michelle took longer to convince. Truth is I struggled to like Michelle. She was flighty, insecure, indecisive and somewhat a snob. For someone so focused on finding love,(when it was right in front of her) instead of embracing it, she was judgmental and accusatory. I felt that Michelle was prejudice and judgmental against Ben's occupation as a bartender AND because he was taking medicine for a disorder. Oh, and I HATED the fact that she thought it was okay to snoop in the cabinets of Ben's personal bathroom. His medication kept his issue under control and he hadn't had any set backs since going on it, years prior, when he was honorably discharged from the military. I mean, who does that? I thought is was brash and nervy of her to invade his privacy that way. It just seemed that for someone as educated as Michelle, she was immediate to judge. The way she ran off after that had me sad for Ben. It was just inconsiderate and mean. Thoughtless. I never understood what Ben saw in Michelle that he thought was so special.

Put aside the fact I didn't like Michelle much, the rest of the book was sexy and sweet. Ben was such a romantic and a true gentleman. I really wish we had his POV. It would have gone a long way in me giving a better rating. I hate not being inside bot H/h's minds. I need to know what they are thinking, their real feelings. Oh, by the way, it turned out that Ben was extremely wealthy. He was a great hero and I just couldn't understand how he was still single.

Would I read more from this author? Yes. I like the fact her couples are interracial. I like reading that everyone can find love regardless of stereotypes.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book.*

Okay

A good shorter story, about a woman looking for a relationship. She has all these rules, and meets some real winners....NOT. Then finally realises she can't have all her preconceived notions on dating, sex and relationships.

This is a novella and there is no insta-love--just a very strong attraction of two people wanting to get to know one another. I'd love to read an expanded version of their journey.

Michelle meets Ben while he's serving drinks behind the bar. She's (very judgmental) attracted to him but he's just a bartender and she's looking for a guy that looks good on paper. So she decides Ben may be good only for one night so she can end her sexual drought. Ben wants to date her but Michelle is unsure and while at his home snoops around and finds out his secret. Will she stay or will she go?

Glad it was a short read

This was my first read by this author, but I must say that I didn't really like it. It was a very quick read and kind of ended abruptly. Not much plot or character development. The characters were not my cup of tea. Michelle was incredibly shallow and ignorant. Ben wasn't anything special his character was pretty forgettable. I won't be reading the next book, the plot is absurd.

😊

All she wants is to find a good man but could she be looking in all the wrong places. And when she finally looks up over hearing a conversation she might just have found the perfect man who isn't so perfect after all. But the one for her.

I love reading books from Serenity :).. This is a great book because it make you feel as you are the character. I love that it make you see things other then what it is. I love that she choose to love him for what he have and who he is. Can't never judge a book by it's cover. A person can have disorder but everyone got the right to be in love or be loved. I love that she realize it doesn't matter what his disorder is but the type of person he is and how he treat her is amazing . The love between them will grow :) .
WIll there be a part two ? will they have a family?did they last forever? all up to the serenity :) ..

I can sort of relate to this book because my husband we both was just talking and first time we had a one night stand. Then we end up being together forever. I believe love can happened the first one night stand but it is up to both to make it last.

Love military and vets stories. It's always tough for me to read a short story. When i get to the last page and see THE END I always feel sad. Because i always want more. Which is a good thing. Because I'll just read more from this author.
