35 year old Emily Mitchell has fled her job, apartment and ex-boyfriend in New York City for her father's historic, abandoned home on the coast of Maine, needing a change in her life and determined to make it a B&B. She had never expected, though, that her relationship with its caretaker, Daniel, would turn her life on its head.

Emily is still reeling from Daniel’s proposal. As all seems to finally fall into place in her life, she looks forward to an exciting engagement year ahead, from shopping for a venue and a wedding dress, to creating her invite list, to setting a date.

But all does not goes as planned. The endless events of the engagement year add more stress than joy, putting pressure on their relationship as they are forced to make hard choices. Adjusting to life as parents doesn’t make it any easier, as Chantelle runs into problems at school and as a custody battle looms over them. As Christmas and New Years approach, the stress is only compounded.

Meanwhile, as the B&B adds new guests and staff and as they find more priceless antiques, Emily discovers a shocking secret that just may bring her one step closer to finding her father.

Will she and Daniel get married? Or will the stress of the engagement break them apart forever?

“Sophie Love's ability to impart magic to her readers is exquisitely wrought in powerfully evocative phrases and descriptions….This is the perfect romance or beach read, with a difference: its enthusiasm and beautiful descriptions offer an unexpected attention to the complexity of not just evolving love, but evolving psyches. It's a delightful recommendation for romance readers looking for a touch more complexity from their romance reads.”
--Midwest Book Review (Diane Donovan re For Now and Forever)

One what planet?! Who paid for this review?

These books are the equivalent of Novocaine for the brain. So numbing you struggle to stay away long enough to get annoyed at a heroine that behave like a 7 year old and the 7 year old that is written as a 35 year old. I really, really want the Daniel to walk out and live the silly Bint Emily to live alone for the rest of her life in her B&B with her chickens. Not that Daniel is a particularly great fictional character but anything to inject some excitement into the most boring series ever created. Some authors really don't know when to stop. Please, just STOP! for readers sake everywhere give it up already...

The fourth installment of the Inn at Sunset Harbor series by Sophie Love. This story continues to follow Emily as she navigates owning a fully functioning inn, celebrating the holidays, and planning her future with Daniel.

Overall it was a very quick read. I found the amount of times Emily cried to be annoying. And there seemed to be an overuse of exclamation points. However I am invested in the storyline and need to continue to the fifth book after how this one ended.

I'm glad I circled back to this series. I started three series and it got to be too much a long with several non series books, so I stepped away from the series books.
This is a simple story, but quaint and charming.
It's perfect for a rainy day, or laying in the hammock. I was invested from the beginning because of the mystery mia father, and I'm excited to see where it goes with him.
The love story is just a sweet bonus.
I loved Trevor 💘

Daniel finally popped the question and as the B&B continues to grow and gain recognition. However, all does not go as planned (does it ever?) and we wonder if this wedding will actually take place. A custody battle for Chantelle adds to the stress of their relationship, and Emily’s continuing quest to learn more about her father may be the last straw. The addition of new staff at the Inn just adds depth to the story and it appears that the town is now home and extended family. The last page of this one left me with my mouth hanging open and the wait for number 5 is going to be almost painful.

Emily is still discovering more secrets about her dad, as we learn in this book. She also discovers another hidden room. Daniel and her are still no closer to getting married and bicker over wedding plans a lot. Will they ever get their acts together? These books are getting better the more I read this series. This book had me shedding a few tears. No spoilers, so grab your copy and fall in love with this suspenseful series.

I find that the main character in this series is a dolt. She acts like a child.

One of the main issues I take with this series is the authors over use of the word anguish to describe the main characters emotional pain. The editor should have suggested the author use a thesaurus.

If you listen to the audiobook, the narrator has some issues with word pronunciation. Case in point. When describing the Jewish holiday Chanukah, the narrator reads it as Cha-Knew-ca

CLASIFICATION: 3.0 ESTRELLAS

Love and war

Emily and Daniel continue to be involved, and Chantelle settles in with them. But Emily and Danielle continue to have misunderstandings and Chantelle acts out. I almost stopped reading the book, because Emily’s insecurities drove me crazy. But I am glad I persevered, and the end is surprising.

Another amazing book from this author. I just can't stop reading them. I truly hope the series never stops. They get better each book if that's even possible. Wow. I love them and can't wait to start the new one. Keep up the great work Sophie Love. These books are amazing.

3⭐ Stars. No me gustó tanto como los otros, se me hicieron un poco insoportables los dos en especial Emily con su inseguridad respecto a todo! Pero el final me gustó, no me esperaba lo de Trevor y menos lo del papá! Al fin se va a resolver el misterio!

This one was a little bit more whiny dramatic. I felt like a lot of the insecurities were dragged out WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long.

And not a fan of a British narrator for a story that takes place in Maine.
