Forget Me Knot by Lori King Lacy Denvers has lost her job, and lost her way. All she wants to do now is get her career back on track and find some stability again, but first, she wants to mark something off her bucket list: She wants to learn to ride a horse. Her dream vacation to the Crawley Creek Cattle Ranch turns into a lesson in patience when the North Dakota winter proves unpredictable as ever. Wrapped in a cocoon of snow, Lacy finds the ranch to be a hidden treasure trove of cowboy eye candy, and her mouth is watering even as her brain is telling her to run. After a devastating tragedy, a young Drannon Russo ended up fostering with the Crawley family, and found a home. He's only moved away once and had to lean on family for support when his dreams were shattered. Being a cowboy on a ranch is a pretty lonely existence. When a beautiful redhead shows up looking for a fresh start he's determined to give them both what they want. Will this vacation into the heart of cattle country turn out to be a mistake, or will Lacy and Drannon find their future in each other?
Cowboy Crazy by Em Petrova Five brides for five brothers...at least that's the deal the Daltons have struck with their boys. Each son must marry in order to inherit a piece of the ranch they love so much. Hank Dalton yearns to run his own spread, but more than that, he longs for a woman to call his own. Paradise Valley is far from civilization, though, and that makes finding the perfect match difficult. Not many women like being two hours from a major supermarket or mall. Charlotte is on the run. Poor choices have left her with scars - in and out. After her powerful boyfriend left her drugged and set their apartment on fire, she's just trying to put the pieces of her life back together. Abandoning all she knows seems like the best decision she's ever made. At least until her car breaks down in the middle of cattle country. When a pretty little woman is delivered into Hank's hands, he believes it was fate that kept him from joining his brothers for a "wife hunt" in the city. But she's leery of men and hiding something dark. Can Hank tap into the attraction they both feel before she drives away?
Watching Fireflies by Jaycee Ford Jordan Hawthorne thought she had it all until a surprise for her fiance turns into losing everything that she ever wanted. She flees her home in Charlotte, North Carolina to take a new job in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and make a new start where her ex-fiance can't find her. Jordan is just beginning to adjust to her new life in the middle of nowhere when a small town cowboy walks in and disrupts it all. Tom McCloud never had time for a serious commitment, always too busy with running his grandparents' farm. Everything changes when he stumbles upon a broken-hearted city girl and a steamy buzz ignites between them. But what happens when the city girl can't stay hidden in the country for long?
Sweet As Candy by Sidda Lee Rain Candace Marie Browne has been the head cook-hell, the only cook on the Crooked E ranch for the past three years. She's come to care for the owner Mr. Everson like a second father and the ranch hands like brothers...all except one. Mason Edwards, foreman on the Crooked E Ranch. After walking in on her fiance and her best friend going at it on her new furniture she needed a break from men altogether. So like any mature woman...Candace moved out of her hometown of Helena, Montana and picked up the first waitress job she could find in Butte and didn't look back. That's where Hank Everson found her a few months later and offered her the job on the E. Mason had noticed the beautiful redhead the moment she walked into the dining room at the E. But what really got him? Was when he saw the woman actually cringe at the dinner he had put on the table. The long shiny auburn tresses, big brown puppy dog eyes, a body that was rounded in all the right areas. Oh yeah! He'd spent a lot of time thinking about his Candy Girl. Plus, the extra corn bread biscuits she snuck him every Friday after their weekly chili dinner didn't hurt either. Yep, Mason had discovered Candace was...Sweet as Candy!
Lazarus by Beth Williamson Lazarus Graham has always been the black sheep of his family. Leaving behind the ranch his family had owned for nearly 200 years, he lives life as a Texas Ranger. Tough, hard and inflexible, he has no time for life's fripperies. Beatrice Cartwright never expected to run into her childhood nemesis again. Yet Laz Graham sauntered into her store to investigate a crime nearby. Then the man had the nerve...

When Crystal Wilson gets roped into a wild, girls-only weekend at a rowdy “stud” ranch, the last thing she wants to do is tangle with a bunch of half-naked men pretending to be cowboys. But when she meets Ford McCoy, she can’t help but be attracted to his dark, dominant, gruff appeal.
What she doesn’t know is that Ford isn’t a stripper. He’s her friend’s overprotective brother, there to make sure his little sister doesn’t get into any trouble. She’s surprised at the passion that flares between them. In fact, what she has with Ford might just be what she’s been looking for all along.
It’s a pity the sexy rancher isn’t in the market for a city girl.

REVIEW: THE REAL MCCOY (found in the FIRST RIDE COWBOY Collection) is a prequel novella in Sabrina York’s contemporary, adult STRIPPED DOWN erotic, romance series. This is rancher Ford McCoy, and online jewelry designer Crystal Wilson’s story line. THE REAL MCOY is part of the multi-authored FIRST RIDE COWBOY COLLECTION anthology release date February 3, 2017.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Crystal and Ford) THE REAL MCCOY is a story of insta-love. A weekend getaway to celebrate employee Porsche McCoy’s twenty first birthday finds our heroine Crystal Wilson blindsided as they arrive at the Double Stud ranch, and not the relaxing bed and breakfast the girls had originally told her. Not willing to participate in the nightly debauchery between the male strippers and her fellow employees, Crystal quietly gets drunk and makes a pass at a manly man- a real cowboy-who is looking for someone in Crystal’s care. Enter Ford McCoy, the over-protective brother of Crystal’s employee Porsche McCoy, and the man with whom she will fall in love. What ensues is the quick building relationship between Crystal and Ford, and the promise of a happily ever after for two people with many things in common.
THE REAL MCCOY is a sweet, romantic story line with a little bit of romance, $ex, fun and adventure. There is plenty of quick paced, lively banter between Crystal and the women she loves that makes for some humorous moments and giggle-worthy times. The premise is entertaining and lighthearted; the characters are enjoyable and vivacious; the romance is a very quick build to a happily every after.
Watching Fireflies by Jaycee Ford What a book! This book has it all – love, romance, drama, suspense and sexy times.
I really liked Jordan in this book. She was smart, resourceful, and fierce woman even if she is a little broken when we meet her. I liked watching her grow as a person and become the woman she was meant to be when she was surrounded by a man who loves her and family and friends. Tom was the perfect cowboy and book boyfriend. He saw something in Jordan right away that wanted him to pursue her. His love and complete devotion was wonderful to read. When he was trying to find hope in all the darkness as a reader is was very hard to read.
Forget Me Knot by Lori King I loved loved loved this story. Being from North Dakota, I could relate to a lot of the eye rolls some of the guys gave Lacy in terms of winter weather. I mean, “really, who books a vacation to ND in February"
Lacy is a woman who is down on her luck. She decides while waiting to find out about a job offer she is going to cross off one of her bucket list items. She wants to learn to ride a horse. Without doing much research, she books a vacation to North Dakota in February. Once she gets there, the fun begins.
Drannon knows hardship, but he also knows the love of family and hard work. He loves what he does but find that life is lonely on the ranch. Then he meets a redhead the interests him like no other. He decides he is going to teach this out of towner how to ride a horse as he figures out how to keep her in his life forever.
Under Pressure by Rhonda Lee Carver A woman sets out to right a wrong and seek revenge on a man who hurt her sister. Who knew that meeting a cowboy would change her life forever.
This was a fun story to read. It is the traditional mistaken identities with a hot and sexy twist. I l really liked Spark. He had the makings of an honorable cowboy and gentleman who knew how to treat a lady. I enjoyed the push/pull the two of them had.
Cowboy Crazy by Em Petrova I loved this book and series. Em Petrova is an amazing author.
While his brothers are gone on a wife hunt as a condition to receiving their land, Hank stays back to help the family run their farm. One day he runs across a woman who is having car trouble and instantly feels for her and wants to help her. He gets her car back to the farm and works out a deal with her that if she stays and helps his mother, he will fix her car. He just knows that he has to know this woman, she has gotten under his skin. Hank was a great book boyfriend in that he knew she was running but didn’t pressure her, he just let her know that he was there for her.
Charlotte is on the run from a really bad breakup and she is not necessarily ready to jump in to a new relationship. Hank starts to tear down some of her walls but she keeps putting them back up. When she begins to realizes she has feelings for him, the only thing she can think about is leaving.
Cowboy Proud by D’Ann Lindun I was not a huge fan of this story. I tried, really tried to like Madeline. However, it just didn’t seem like she had a redeemable quality. She had sexual chemistry with Shan but other than that, I didn’t feel it. I think if the book had been a little longer and fleshed out there I could have gotten there. I did like Shan though. Any man who steps up and cares for his child is amazing in my eyes. Mason is written in a way that he is a well-behaved little man and Shan has done well raising him so far.
Chocolate Cowboy by Kirsten Lynn Wow what a story!!! I both loved and had my heart broken in this book, this is major props to the author. Watching the two characters meet and fall in love while being surrounded by a mother who is dying. You wanted to bask in the glory of these two but then you were brought back down when they were dealing with their mother.
Unlike most other books, the leads never played games. They were some of the bluntest characters I have read in a long time. They said what was on their mind, even in anger. So while they were learning to lean on each other, they seemed to always know where they stood with each other even if it stung a little bit.
The Real McCoy by Sabrina York I loved this book!! How have I not read anything from the author before. I loved Crystal and Ford in this story. The scene where Crystal thinks Ford is a stripper is laugh out loud funny. I had to stop reading a few times. The fact that even though Ford knew the she thoughts he was a stripper, he still played along with it just to get a few more kissing was amazing. Their chemistry was off the charts. I felt that in many ways these two individual personalities were similar but yet they also complimented each other also.
One other aspect of this story that I really liked was that while in the beginning there were a couple misunderstandings between the two leads. It didn’t drag on. These were two people who had reservations but yet acted like adults and communicated. This was refreshing to read.
The Heartsong Cowboy by Melissa Keir This was a sweet and lovely story. After being involved in a horrific incident, Angela’s daughter stops speaking. Her mother has tried everything the help her daughter regain the voice she once had. A brochure that she finds brings her to Jake. Can Jake help not only the daughter but also the mother heal?
I loved Jake in the book. What a wonderful man and what a wonderful business he is running. Taking on Angela’s case was a little out of his area of expertise but he was willing to try and what a difference it made. I really enjoyed reading this.
Sweet As Candy by Sidda Lee Rain This was a fun book about two people who have been in love with each other for three years. Neither of them willing to admit it to the other and yet doing things for each other that made them feel special. I loved that Candice was a bigger girl but didn’t seem to have the hangups that most do. It was really refreshing to read. I loved that Mason loved her and all her curves!
Gimme Some Sugar by Stephanie Berget A woman on the run and a man who is in need of a cook. Perfect combination for a wonderful story. Cary is on the run from a loan shark and Micah is in need of a cook before his ranch hand revolt.
I really liked Cary in this story. She was a woman who was just trying to “make it”. She was a pastry chef that ended up on a farm having to cook hearty meals. Never once did she let this get her down. She needed a few moment a couple of times but she kept it together and cooked. I liked hearing her inner dialog about you head vs her body when it came to Micah. I COULDN’T stand Micah’s ex-wife. I know that was the author’s intention but she was a horrible woman!
Make Mine a Cowboy by Sandy Lea Sullivan This was a very hot story. Woman stranded and cowboy finds her and helps her out. This is the start of a great story. I really liked this book didn’t play around. Both Mesa and Joel knew there was chemistry there and didn’t shy from it. They didn’t necessarily act on it right away either but they at least acknowledged it like adults.
Wow, 9 brothers!! That poor mom! I loved how protective Joel was of Mesa, especially if any of this brothers were disrespecting her. He was so protective and passionate to her. He was a true cowboy!!
Her Fated Cowboy by Donna Michaels I don’t know what to say about this book other than I LOVED it. I couldn’t put it down. This is the first book I have read by this author but I am going to go out and buy this whole series. Jordan and Cole were the perfect mate in every way. It was just that fate was never on their side. They grew up together and both were attracted to each other but instead of giving in, they teased and ignored each other. She was younger and followed him around and acted like a torn in his side. Both Jordan and Cole lost someone very important to them around the same time. While Jordan is dealing with it, Cole is not. Scheming parents who hope bringing these two crazy kids back together will help Cole move on. Sometimes plans doesn’t always go the way you want them too.
Cowboys Never Fold by Lexi Post Kendra needs a stable manager for her new nudist resort that she is opening and the last three have quit. She just wants a loyal person that will do the job and not give her any trouble. In walk Wade Johnson!!
Wade was asked to work at Kendra’s establishment by a friend to find out why the other three stable managers quit. Wade wasn’t planning on liking his new boss and being very attracted to her. When he finds out that there is more going on at the resort and someone is trying to sabotage Kendra, his protective instinct kick and he wants to help her any way he can. This was a fun and hot read!
Jake: Men of Clifton by Susan Fisher Davis This is the second time I have read this book and I loved it just as much as the first time I read it. This is a wonderful book and series!
Becca finds out that her grandmother has left her the farm after she passed on. Becca didn’t even know she had a grandmother. In order for the farm to remain hers, she must live there for 6 months. So she moves there and tries to make a go of it. Once there she meets her neighbor Jake, who she thinks is out to take her farm.
I really liked this couple. I loved Jake, he was a true cowboy in every sense. He was always there when Becca needed him. Becca got on my nerves a few times when she assumed things about Jake. Thought I will give the girl a break, someone was out to get her and at times she didn’t know which way was up.
Montana Bachelor by Hildie McQueen So what’s a girl to do when she misses her flight in Las Vegas?? Get dressed up and go out!! She heads to a bar and meets a very good looking man. Next thing she knows she wakes up, tired, sore in all the right places and married!
Trent is looking for a woman who is interested in him and not just his money, he finds that in Amy Leigh. With a horrible ex-girlfriend, ecstatic mother and angry father, the couple just has to overcome a few obstacles in order together their happy ending.
Lazarus by Beth Williamson Two old classmates are brought together because of a case. Bea and Laz knew each other growing up being Bea was friends with Laz’s sisters. Lazarus took great pride in making fun of Bea throughout their youth. Not understanding that the teasing was because there was interest and chemistry.
When Bea’s gun shop is vandalized she is forced to work with Laz who is a Texas Ranger. She hasn’t seen him in the past 10 years. Before they can move on and deal with the case at hand, first they have to open and deal with old wounds before they can move on and catch a thief.
This review is for Sabrina York's book, The Real McCoy.
Crystal Wilson and Ford McCoy meet at a "stud ranch for strippers" when it's Ford's younger sister's 21st birthday and she wants to go to the stud ranch with her business partners/friends to celebrate. He is there to protect his sister after he gets a text from his friend, Cody, who is an owner of the ranch, letting him know she is there. Crystal is put off by the young men, leaving the party to go back to her room, and sees Ford while she is drunk from tequila. Since it's a stud ranch, she takes him for a stripper. They kiss, and Ford escorts her back to her room and puts her in her bed. Will sparks fly when they find out who each other are the next morning? You will have to read the story to find out. I enjoyed this book. Sabrina is a wonderful story teller.
Warning: If you object to reading curse words or sex, this book is not for you.
I was given an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. I wasn't influenced or compensated in any way. My opinions are my own.
Review of The Real McCoy: Loved this book! The Queen of Hotness has done it again. In this prequel, Crystal and Ford meet and we learn their story - it's full of sexy shenanigans that start when Crystal first spots Ford and thinks he's part of the entertainment. As such, she feels free to touch and play, but Ford won't take advantage of a woman thats been drinking. One thing leads to another as they explore their mutual attraction.
Fans of the genre will love this book. While it is part of a series, this is a stand alone book. The author is on my must read authors' list.
I read this a while back but since I just opened a Goodreads account, I wanted to mention it. Most of the stories were really good. It's how I discovered a few new favorite authors, Susan Fisher Davis and D'Ann Lindun. It's too bad this set is no longer available because if you haven't read these stories, you are missing out on some hot cowboys!
This was a wonderful collection of western romance stories. There were some new authors to me and then some I'm an avid reader of. Susan Fisher Davis, Lori King and Rhonda Lee Carver are all one click authors for me so I clicked on this collection because of them. Check this collection out, I think you'll enjoy it!
I loved this collection of books. Who wouldn't with all these sexy cowboys. This group of authors are amazing. Some of them I have know for awhile, while others were new to me. I have found a few new authors to read from this collection. This book took me longer to read than normal because I had to continue some of the stories in the collection, they were just that amazing. If you love cowboys, you are bound to love one, if not all of these stories. I highly recommend this book.
These books were written very well and each author has defined the characters with style and grace. Each story made you feel like you were right there with characters and created a beautiful picture in the reader's mind.
This was my first read by Sabrina York and O.M.G, can I just say……I LOVED IT!
A fast-paced story with great characters, a fabulously entertaining plot and so much more. This author definitely has a new and excited reader who can’t wait to discover what’s in store for the diverse population of this sleepy town and the Double S ranch!
Please keep em` coming, I’m so totally hooked after just one book!
COWBOYS NEVER FOLD by Lexi Post……
I love the easy flow of Lexi Post's writing and the hodge lodge mix a characters who bring excitement, fun and a sense of family outside of the norm her stories. This first look into the residents of Poker Flat shows that second chances are sometimes given freely, but they are cemented through respect and loyalty.
Kendra has been a victim of prejudice and ridicule like every member of her band of misfits, but nothing will stop her from living her dream and a new stable manager will hopefully help that happen.
Wade Johnson is on a mission, but he doesn't expect it to include the unquenchable desire his new boss ignites. But when multiple mishaps start to threaten opening day at Kendra's nudist resort, a pattern begins to form and suspicions are confirmed that they may have a saboteur at large.
The chemistry between Kendra and Wade is explosive and the support cast is enchanting. I'm looking forward to more adventures at Poker Flat.
FORGET ME KNOT by Lori King……
The first book in Lori King’s new Crawley Creek series introduces readers to a unique set of brothers with dark and tortured pasts, but focuses on the eldest of the bunch and his instant attraction to disheartened young woman with a childhood yearning that was unfulfilled.
Drannon Russo has his demons, but the love for his foster brothers has never waned. A sexy Cowboy, a hard worker and loyal to a fault, Drannon is also human, and the loneliness of life on the land can sneak up on you when it’s least expected.
Lacy is suffering from yet another disappointment, but while awaiting news of a potential career, she’s determined to do what she’s always dreamed; learn to ride a horse. Lacy’s never come first in anyone’s life, so looking for romance is not on her radar. But a luscious Cowboy is making her rethink her well laid plans for the future and turning her whole world upside down.
While some might think the romance between this couple moved way to fast, the romantic in me truly believes in love at first sight and applauded their passion.
MAKE MINE A COWBOY by Sandy Lee Sullivan……
I love Sandy Sullivan's Cowboys and a family dude ranch with 9 brothers at the helm, is my type of series!
This first story of an erotic author stranded while looking for inspiration in an authentic setting, is bound to have it's funny, embarrassing and tearful moments. But what better way to find out how real Cowboys live, than right in amongst them!
Joel and Mesa are loveable and quirky and will definitely have you cheering them on as they find their way in unfamiliar territory.
This is a great collection! What an amazing group of authors!
The Real McCoy by Sabrina York is one of many the books in the First Ride Cowboy Collection. This is Crystal Wilson and Ford McCoy's story. The Real McCoy is the prequel to Sabrina York's Stripped Down series. I loved Ford and Crystal's story! It was great how the author incorporated humor, intense chemistry with a really fun and entertaining story. I can't wait to read the other books in this collection. FYI, includes mature content.
"Cowboy Never Fold" by Lexi Post is book number one of the "Poker Flat" series. This is Kendra Lowe and Wade Johnson's story. Kendra used to be a professional poker player and now is about to open her dream business. She and a few misfit employees are working to make a success of Poker Flat Nudist Resort. They have run into so many obstacles that the resort might not even be able to open. Wade agrees to work at Poker Flat Nudist Resort only as a favor owed to his best friend. He is trying find out who is causing all the weird problems at the resort. Kendra doesn't know the reason he is there other than to do the job. Oh my, when Kendra and Wade meet there is definitely a sexual attraction between them. Let's, just say when Wade and Kendra are together the room heats up. Will they act on this attraction? How will it effect their working relationship and Wade's investigation? Kendra is special in that she can see the potential in other people that society may have given up on. I loved how Kendra and her employees worked together as a team and created their own unique family. This is a fun and steamy romance with a mystery to be solved. FYI, includes mature content.
Description: Prequel to Strip Down Series Crystal Wilson: Online Jewelry Designer gets roped into wild, girls-only weekend at a rowdy stud ranch. Ford McCoy: Rancher mistaken for a stripper at the "stud ranch". This sweet & sexy spicy novella offers a entertaining storyline with fun & realistic characters. With a sexy alpha male cowboy, snarky heroine, hilarious moments, & sweet romance this truly is a fantastic read. I read it in one sitting & could not put it down. I am looking forward to reading the Stripped Down Series.I recommend reading this novella as it is worth it. I volunteerly reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.
Though I have only read one of the stories in this collection, after reading The Real McCoy, I can’t wait to start the other stories. The story takes us to the Double Stud ranch, where 21 yr old Porsche is celebrating her birthday. and Crystal, her boss, is there to help her celebrate the especial day. The ranch is really an entertainment review and Ford, Porsche’s brother, is there to keep an eye on her.Little does Crystal know that the guy she has been eyeing is NOT part of the entertainment, but Ford. And that my friends, is when the fun begins.
The Real McCoy is the perfect story if you are looking something sexy, romantic, and fun. I was gifted this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This was a very good set of books that I found I liked reading each book had the different Authors touch some I have read book from them before and others I have not but I now have new ones to look for. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.I have also bought after reading these stories.
This anthology is pretty good overall, hence the 4 Stars. Due to inconsistent editing with all the books it got annoying and off-putting with certain words spelled wrong throughout certain books. Luckily with the majority of the books had no such typo problems and their tales were engrossing. I would suggest that each other double check their own stories here to see if theirs passed with no repetitive typos, to instead of too is one example. Misuse of the correct to, two and too not caught by spellchecker is common. This book deserves the 4 Stars since it is a good book. So worth buying, if the typos are corrected it may even get 5 Stars repeatedly. I really did enjoy most of this book and hated to stop and put it down to get on with my day.
