Def at 81%. This book did nothing for me. It was an audiobook and the narrators were terrible. There were 3 voices, a narrator, a male voice , and a female voice. The male and female only spoke when “” were used. The narrator was like a computer voice from the 1980s.
The story was just as bad. I like the way the story started but as soon as the mcs escaped , it was all downhill. I won’t use spoilers because someone else might like it. There was more action than romance. There was sex then they treated each other like mere acquaintances. Not my cuppa
This is such an awesome book with just as interesting characters? This is an adventure you will not be able to put down? It is filled with steamy romance and highly recommended?
Ahhh ok all my previous misgivings have been put to rest in this second book. I mentioned in the first book's review that I felt Ruwen's feelings for Lis were in question because he had no choice but to mate with her to save his life, but KR cleared that up nicely in this story. I found on the whole Tyral and Dorsey's story a whole lot more realistic and believable. I thoroughly enjoyed the suspense and background world KR is building here and am really looking forward to reading more.
Ty is flying his ship. He knows that he has roughly by the week before he is supposed to die because he’s coming up on his 30th birthday. Tractor beam has stopped him from flying and He is a prisoner in a pirate slave ship. While he is in custody after giving up a good fight, he is put in a cell. Next to his cell there is another prisoner. He knocks several times and then she responds. Dorsey is afraid that she was almost hallucinating about someone being in the cell next to her. She lost track of time because of the way it was situational from the pirate/slavers were keeping her captive. Ty was able to use the opportunity to try to escape.. He was temporarily blind. But once Dorsey was able to get them to the cargo bay to steal a ship, he was able to amend his injuries. Things get interesting after this point. Yeah Ty who has of course survived this now believes that Dorsey is his denya. As soon as they come skin to skin the tingles happen, instinct to protect if anything happens To her. That’s what having his Denya men’s. all the things that he’s dreamed about when finding his mate. With this intense in survival confirmation interlude, he is definitely sure that she is his soulmate. But things start to get a little crazy. People are after Dorsey and she doesn’t know why. But Ty is willing to give his life to make sure that Dorsey remains alive and his mate. This is an action packed story nice technology going through planets another star systems. Each denya found in this series has been a whirlwind experience for their mate. Dorsey will not be outshined by the other ones. Enjoy the story.

It's Ty's turn to find his special someone and he...well, he pushes things *right* to the limit. And throws in a little abduction by pirates to boot. You know, because that giant cosmic clock ticking away toward your 30th birthday isn't rough enough.
No wait. He had to get accidentally abducted by slavers because that put him in Dorsey's path. And Dorsey's path is EXACTLY where he wants to be. Needs to be, in truth. But finding your special someone doesn't mean things are going to end well. Not when slavers and warlords and sketchy secret plans your honey-bunny accidentally uncovers are involved.
As for Dorsey, she might not have a life-ending curse on her head, but she does have a powerful someone gunning for her. She has to figure out who and why and do her best to wiggle out of what's coming without getting her new, blue hunk killed in the process.
I have to say, I dig aliens who have it all on the line and have to go to some pretty big extremes to keep on living. Whether it's because they're faced with a curse or power-hungry warlords, things are FUN. *thumbs up*
Finding his fated mate saves Tyral's life! by sewsummore
After capture by pirate, Tyral and Dorsey were able to escape in a stolen pirate shuttle. Dorsey was human while Tyral was deyten, after facing the horror of imprisonment, their celebration lead to them making frenzied love to each other. Ty had been en route to visit family before he lost his life to the deyten curse that kills each male on his thirtieth birthday if he has not found his fated mate. When Ty first saw Dorsey, he had not known she was his fated mate, and he did not tell her that she had broken the curse until much later in the book. They had to survive several near-death experiences before he could reveal his love and the truth behind calling her his Denya. I found this book an entertaining and exciting book from the beginning to the end. The storyline had many twists, and the two lovers' devotion to each other was profound.

I loved book one ' Ruwen' of this series by Kate Rudolph and this book is just as good. Book one was full of suspense whether Ruwen would meet his Denya (fated mate) in time, but this book was even more on edge, as to whether Tyral would meet his mate within even less time. As Tyral was only a week off his 30th birthday, which is when Detyens have to meet their fated mate and claim them or die. Tyral is travelling home to say goodbye one final time as the curse of his people has caught up with him, with no denya to save him. But then his ship is hijacked by pirates and he's given hope as on the pirate ship is Dorsey his fated mate. Dorsey has flown through the stars for five years, but someone is after her and she's not sure why, and then captured by pirates she is wasting away. Will they defeat the pirates and survive? You're just going to have to read the book to find out as I hate when reviewers give away too much of the story and spoil it for other readers.
Dorsey has had an epically bad week... at least she thinks it has been a week. Either way, when Tyral is kidnapped by the same pirates and thrown into the cell next to her, things take a turn for the better.
There is a lot to love in this story. Tyral grappling with reality, and coming to understand what he has accepted, what he still values, and how that means he plans to live the next week. Dorsey has this remarkable determination to if not do the right thing, then at least stay on the right side of the line, making it interesting to watch the decisions she makes at times.
This done in one quick read is in the same Universe as Ruben, but doesn’t carry over any characters or plot points, making it a solid stand alone story.

Dorsey and Tyral do the little dance around liking each other and trying hard not to let the other one know how they feel. Unlike the other stories in this series this one actually had a lot more action and a bit more to the story than the others.
Both characters are likeable and you do get somewhat caught up in them getting their HEA. I get that the author is trying to have her series be something other than the typical you are my mate and we are now bonded for life thing. The having sex then disappearing once the woman has helped save the man is still a loose string since she also contradicts it by having the characters feel the almost physic bond and they feel incomplete when they are apart.

I really did enjoy this book . Tyral NaRaxos has been captured by pirates and with only a week left to live he has all but lost hope. If the members of the race do not find their mates, or denya as they are called, they die at the age of 30 and Tyral only has 1 week left. Dorsey Kwan has a price on her head and doesn't know why but she is also captured by the same pirates and she assumes she will be sold into slavery. The two meet up in their cells and figure out a way to escape. The race is on to figure out whats going on. Lots of passion, and suspense and more than a few space pirates and villians. I do so enjoy the Star Huntress books by Kate Rudolph. Highly recommend.
This is the second book in this series but it is not necessary to read the previous one. It is probably helpful to have read some of the other series involving Detyan warriors but again, not necessary to enjoy the story. What makes this story good for me is Tyral’s respect for Dorsey’s experience and skills. Usually the alpha male just can’t let the woman do her thing. The story itself is different enough from the author’s other books that it is not boring. The sex is hot and doesn’t overtake the story. Another hit by Kate Rudolph.

Tyral and Dorsey are two strangers who help each other escape capture. When complications delay the time to go their separate ways, Dorsey feels guilty for having pulled Tyral into such a dangerous mess while Tyral is thrilled to be at her side. Dorsey has no idea this stranger she's unusually attracted to was days away from death until she came along. From there, they find themselves repeatedly skirting death in a world where rivalry is brutal and alliances can be unclear. A dying man and a loner transport pilot have to make use of their social connections to survive!

(Tyral & Dorsey): so this book was pretty much the same, the human woman is kidnapped but so is the alien male. There was a lot going on in this book and it was also a slow burn story-wise. What I did like is that the two felt the connection almost immediately but didn't realize HOW strong it actually was because they met in captivity. I loved that it wasn't always the make saving the female in this series, KR wrote some really kick-ass female leads in her books. There is mystery and murder in this story. You never really know who to trust in this story and it's a constant cat and mouse chase. Not bad but I liked the first book better.
"Tyral" by Kate Rudolph is a compelling addition to the series, offering an engaging story that keeps readers hooked. The characters are well-developed, and Tyral's journey is both relatable and captivating. Rudolph's writing style shines through, making for an enjoyable read. The story is filled with emotion, intrigue, and romance. If you've been following the series, this book will not disappoint, and it's also a great entry point for those new to Kate Rudolph's work. With its captivating narrative and well-crafted characters, "Tyral" is a solid addition to the series that leaves readers looking forward to more.
This story is fast paced and action packed. These two become mates in a quick frenzied coupling after an escape from slavers. They stay together out of need & necessity due to being in the middle of a political power struggle. Throughout the story they do call on the help of friends, as well as help friends. The story kept my interest from start to finish, the characters are likable and even though the chemistry is tame it doesn't take away from the story. Well worth reading.
The story starts with Ty and Dorsey being captured at different times. Ty is on his way home to say goodbye to his family as he only has one week to live since he has not found his mate. Dorsey is transporting freight when captured. They escape together and Ty realizes that Dorsey is his mate. There is a lot going on in this story, kidnappings, a murder, an unexpected mating, a conspiracy and the next story with Stoane finding his mate. The story is well written and entertaining, i would recommend this as a great read.
I love the way the author writes these. There is a few themes to them. One is the way they first meet their Denya's. One look and a life time passes but in real time it's just a second in time. There is always danger and excitement. But the male will always stand before their mates as a shield. I just LOVE that. This story does not disappoint. Some of them are more dangerous that others. This one is excellent. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This was a enjoyable book in this series. I have been enjoying all the books in this series. It could probably be read as a standalone, I've read others in the series but in the wrong order. Reading others would help with background information, but I found most of what you needed was explained in this book anyway. It was well written with a great action packed adventure storyline, and great characters. It was a decent length as well which really gave time for a storyline which was well developed.
Two people who find each other at the worst of time and caught by a deady scheme by an evil man. Caught by pirates they both are about to get sold into slavery. Tyral is a fighter and he's got a plan. He and his fellow prisoner, Delsy, are going to fight their way and take command of the pirate ship. Plenty of action, adventure, drama, and finding a love that will keep them fighting for freedom. Will they win? Will their love survive? This is the 2nd book in the series. I enjoyed the book but felt the ending was a little abrupt. I feel she could have done a better job ending it. But over-all it was a good book. The interaction between the characters was great. I really enjoyed Tyral. You could feel his sense of loneliness but he never pushed himself to force a relationship with Dorsey. I also liked that he did not take control of everything and let Dorsey be the strong person she was. I look forward to the next book.

Two unlucky people caught up in a deadly scheme by an evil man and they are clueless as to what it is all about. Caught by pirates, they were about to be sold into slavery. But Tyral is a fighter and is not about to be sold to anyone. He and his fellow prisoner, Delsy, fight their way to take command of pirate ship and then their adventures really begin, with love paving the way. To say more would ruin it for you, so I recommend you try it yourself.
This was my first book by this author and I appreciate the opportunity to try her writing at no charge.
The writing was good, as was the editing, but I’ve decided this genre is just not for me. I’ve read a few that are similar to this and liked them okay and I didn’t dislike this book at all, as much sci-fi end of it just got uninteresting for me personally.
However if this is your genre, I would definitely recommend this author and this series, I think you will really enjoy it!
Dorsey has been abducted and jailed and her ship and cargo taken with no clue why. When she hears another prisoner brought in she starts communicating with him and learns he is Ty the detyen. This story had me on edge, just when you think their ordeal is over, another situation threatens them. I loved the second epilogue where they meet another detyen couple.

Imagine travelling home say ‘goodbye’ to your family before you die, just because you haven’t found a mate before your next birthday, this is precisely the situation that Tyral finds himself in, however, after his ship is attacked by pirates he just meet Dorsey who may well be his mate. Great story with some twists and turns.

Kate Rudolph writes the most brilliant books and this is no exception. Tyral is the perfect mate. In the last week of his life he is kidnapped by slavers, finds his denya, escapes with her, is kidnapped again and..... oh just read the book please :) Its full of intrigue, passion and the sort of love we all want. And when its a Detyan and a human you just know its the real thing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just when he thought his life is about to end, he was given a sliver of hope when he meet his mate. But even that hope is not without its danger. It is possible both him and his mate would not make it. As it is, the best case scenario seem to only meet the survival of his mate. Yet miracles are known to happen.

Tyrel and Dorsey have ALOT going against them but together they can live a prosperous and filling life. The way these two meet and interact is emotional to say the least but Kate does an unbelievable job of showcasing each of them through their individual trials and the trials they are facing together. GREAT story and one not to be missed! I look forward to MORE Mated to the Aliens!
