‘Bittersweet’ is a very steamy, ultra high heat, bisexual menage romance with explicit MF, MM, and MMF scenes. Contains not-to-be-missed twists and turns and an HEA ending!
The characters, Sam and Tom, got me with their painful past
I have read several stories by this author, and each time it has been the characters that captivated me, and kept me turning the pages, Tom and Sam are both paying the price, in their daily personal lives, as they have been every day for 20 years, for a mistake they made when they were teenagers. They are haunted by their past, and in a variety of respects unable to move forward.
Eve is a mystery, from start to finish. I would have enjoyed understanding her better, or perhaps another story falling in after this one explaining how the happy family this Bittersweet story urges the reader to hope Tom and Sam will end up with comes to be.
I was gifted with a copy of this story, and am voluntarily reviewing it. I chose to read the Bittersweet prequel first, and enjoyed the two stories in that order.
Sam should not have gone to the bar in the first place and he should not have made that call; it could destroy his life. How long would it be before Tom and his FBI friends came after him? Leaving his home of 2-years knowing he would never be back, Sam and his daughter, Snow Pea, go in search of Maria; but she just doesn’t want to be found. So much of Sam’s childhood had been spent with Tom and he couldn’t stop thinking about him, their life together and the way their friendship ended; now Tom is making it his life’s mission to throw him in jail. Against his better judgment, Sam calls Tom again and they agree to meet. So many years have passed; has Tom forgotten him, can he be trusted? Tom has shared things with Sam that he has not shared with anyone before or since. Tom needs whatever Sam tells him to make him feel like a whole person again, because when he was younger he had difficulty processing what had happened between the two. May be Sam deserved to go to jail for what he did; not the robbery but for his betrayal of Tom. Sam has his doubts about trusting Tom and he has a right to, because Tom chooses vengeance. Sam has been betrayed by his one love and without thinking he has abandoned Snow Pea; he deserves to be in jail. In another bar, looking for a distraction, Sam meets Eve. One of the things that Sam likes about Eve is she is unpredictable, always in control and calculating and never stops surprising him. But then again, Eve’s surprise for Sam, is not exactly what he is expecting. This book was quite intriguing and had a poignant storyline; nevertheless, it was engaging and I enjoyed reading it. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
Bittersweet is a great book!!! Bisexual love, menages, love crossing the criminal and law enforcement line, and much more are included in this book. I absolutely loved it! Once I started reading I could not stop. Anyone who enjoys MMF books will love this one. A. Anders has written another awesome book! I haven't found one of her books that I haven't loved. I volunteered to read this book and leave an honest review.
I was given a copy for an honest review. I would have given the book more stars but there were too many typos and the story at some points was confusing. I do enjoy this author and read a few of his books that I have enjoyed much better than this one. This is about a criminal named Sam who is running from the man (Tom) he loves. Tom is an FBI agent on his search to find Sam and put him in jail. This book is full of twists, sex and love. It's not the best of Anders but worth the read.
This book was okay. If i could i would have given it 3.5 stars. It was about Sam who is dealing with some major personal issues and trying to raise his daughter. He is in love with a man who hates him with good reason. Can they finally work things out and be together? He meets a woman names Eve can she help him as well?
