“You walked away from our wedding, just walked away and kept walking while I waited for you. And I hear nothing from you for a year, except a trail of credit card charges. Now, without explanation you return saying you want our baby. What the hell is going on, Taina?”
A reasonable question for Prince Daidan ibn Saleh al-Fulan to ask his beautiful wife, Finnish heiress Taina Mustonen. But how can Taina answer when the heartbreaking truth would not only make herself an object of pity to perfectionist Daidan, but would also destroy the diamond business he values so much?
With no answer, Daidan comes up with a proposal of his own—one which will force Taina to confront the fears from which she's run her whole life.
Diana writes emotional, heartwarming contemporary romances. Wherever the location—from desert kingdoms to the beautiful, romantic cities and lakes of Italy—she makes sure the path to true love doesn't run smoothly, by adding in a few secrets, a little intrigue.
Book 6. 4 stars I purchased a copy of Wanted: A Baby by the Sheikh (Desert Kings # 6) Prince Daidan in the six book collection Desert Kings Complete Boxed set 1-6 by Diana Fraser and this review was given freely. A poignant and drama filled reunion romance blended with a threat to both their marriage and their diamond jewelry business but ultimately ending happily. One year after their wedding, diamond mine co-owner, Prince Daidan struggles with doubts, jealousy and the fear of losing his wayward Finnish heiress Taina again while trying to save their business from Russian saboteurs.
Daidan and Taina love story was fascinating after the entire story was told. Thinking someone loved you and finding out the day of your wedding there was a arrangement made was devastating. Coming back so she could have a baby to replace what brought her happiness but not telling the truth to Daidan and seeing him struggling because he truly loved her and could not help her.
I enjoyed the ending because they showed a united front when it was needed the most.
Ms. Fraser’s 5th installment of Desert Kings with Prince Daidan ibn Saleh al-Fulan and Taina Mustonen’s story; “Wanted: A baby for the Sheikh”.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the Desert King books, but, this may be my favorite so far. I love Ms. Fraser’s writing style and how she can paint a complete picture for me with each crafted word. This book, specifically, took me to what is imaginary to a place that I truly could imagine.
Taina is heiress to a diamond empire in Northern Finland. Even though Prince Daidan was the Exotic Sheikh in a land of Pale Finns, he felt that Finland was his home more than Ma’in. We met Daidan is brother to King Tariq and Prince Sahmir (books 3&4) when they found their HEA.
This book takes place 1 year after Daidan and Taina are married. She walked away after their wedding and was now returning to her ‘husband'. But, why?
Just before Taina walked down the aisle, her father’s attorney told her the business agreement that her father (before he pass away) and Daidan had agreed to once he married Taina. Shocked and hurt, she did what she always did, she ran away and has been gone for 1 year.
Taina and Daidan had loved each other passionately before they were married. Now, she was numb from both the tragic she experienced while away and the feeling of being betrayed by Daidan. He also felt betrayed and had no idea why she left and no longer trusted her. The heartrending and terrible tragic that had struck her while she was gone, was now her secret. She did not want Daidan to find out her secret. If he did he may not want her back and it would more than likely destroy the diamond business that he values so much. While both were drawn to each other as they always had, neither could trust that the other would not hurt them again.
I was taken on this journey with words that created a lot of emotions. Some happy ones with the prospect two people who could not admit to each other they was still in love. There also was sadness, yes and some tears, with the revelation of the tragic that Taina went through alone. Of course there was a lot of hot sizzling sex!
Will Prince Daidan and Taina find their way back to each other? Can they forgive each other. Or when both are confronted with all the painful truths, will they need to walk away?
I highly recommend this book. If you have not read the previous installments, you can enjoy this as a stand-alone. Yes, it’s that good!
Oh and where does the author get those wonderful book covers for this Series? So very cool….WOW!
“I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.”
I've never really read a book w/a Sheikh in it before, deep sigh, I guess because too many seemed a little been the done that feeling, overly dominate man, where is usually somewhere between the "The King and I" or where the h is kidnapped and treated like either a slave or possession ..... Sadly to there are honestly too many of those stories going around as it is,too many books where men ( I say all shapes and size,Grinz ,but their not are they ;) No hair, skin,( w/or won't tatts) or eye color may change) but the men are ALWAYS at least 6 ft. Tall or taller and fit, sexy, healthy and built..... No the only diff usually is the colors of that's that can change or if he's usually has either lean muscle like a swimmer or more stocky muscle like a football player ( no matter the country ;) even if he's an Alien,Vampire or a shifter... Too many books at the moment feature this sexy, gorgeous men who for me at least? Have been beautiful only on the outside, gorgeous wealthy men who only seem to want a woman the can dominate and manipulate and manage to do what ever they want when ever they want it, and they women seem to get what I call " Damp Panty Syndrome" ( meaning they lose sense ,common and otherwise and any all self respect and do what asked because the H makes their panties damp) in too stories these days... Stories where women act like ,mindless doormats eager to do the H's bidding where he selfishly only cares about HIS wants and HIS needs, stores that make me wanna cry,gag and scream all at the same time where the H's are called "Perfect" and I wanna slap some sense into the writer, the readers and both the MC's ... Why am I bringing all this up you ask ? Well all that kinda garbage/BS has kept me from exploring books like this one and I'm a bit saddened by that because now feel I've been missing some true gems, I'm just thankful BbokBub turned me on to the 3 book Desert King set and then I found my way here... I haven't read the set yet, ;) I'm not big on always big on doing things "in order" but this story was Sooo WONDERFUL!! It had an understated elegance, simple on the surface yet complex... I Loved it !!! I just Loved Taina and Daiden ,I had my worries at 1st but I'm now In LOVE w/them and their world and can't. Wait for more !!! Grinz, oddly enough I wanted to read the prequel next ( told you not in order ;) ) and was disappointed when it said it would be out in Jan. and I just preordered it and it's not out til June. ;( but O well something to look forward to!!! Thank You Ms. Fraser I had a Great time!!!!
Tania walked away after her wedding to Prince Daidan ibn Saleh al-Fulan when she found out that he married her for her father's company, not because he loved her. A year later, after no contact from her, Tania returns, demanding that Daidan give her a baby. He has no idea where she was much of that year and doesn't know why she's back, but he's determined to get some answers.
This could have been a typical "revenge/ make her pay" book, but throughout, each came to grips with secrets, emotions and fears that could destroy their relationship and the family business. Very emotional!
This was an ok book with a little mystery included. You got hints of the mystery through the book wit the rest revealing at the end. My only downfall was that we did not find out what happened with the mystery man in the epilogue.
