Fair warning...once you start reading Island Candy you will not want to put it down! Yes, it is that good and that addictive!
Island Candy is a beautiful story of how three people found friendship, acceptance, and love. The characters each take a journey of self-discovery after experiencing pain, despair, loss, and internal conflict. There are fun adventures, sexual explorations, and emotional firsts for all.

I loved getting to know Joanna, Devlin and Paulo. It was heartbreaking to read through their obstacles and exhilarating to read through their triumphs. Great MMF story of 3 strong & interesting characters.

Not a bad book, really, and it had more of a storyline to it than I expected. Joanna was definitely young in body and attitude, but she grew up a bit by the end. Overall, I am glad I read this book.

Ok besides the sheer sexiness to this story, there was a level of funness and adventure that I enjoyed. A painter, a millionaire investor, and a girl leaving her troubles behind with a trip to the Bahamas get more than they bargain for when they set sail for a week. This is my first story by this author and not my last. The love scenes, especially the ones with all three, were everything I could hope for. And to see the way they grew to care for eachother brought a level of real story and depth to it.

Not only does this book capture a steamy romance but it also has a great story line. Johanna decides to risk it all and leave her boring life to take a trip. Little does she know that she will meet two young men who will not only become her lovers but friends as well. Each of the characters has their own past they are running from and as they become friends they earn trust and a love like no other. Paulo and Devlin each see that laughter along with taking chances helps the them to grow and learn that life really can be a beautiful thing between the three of them.

My standards for sexual verisimilitude in erotic novels are pretty low, but I couldn't stomach this one. A man goes from topping a dude STRAIGHT INTO the woman's pussy? Nooooooooo. I realize changing condoms or washing with soap between isn't hot, but like...do her first, then? I dunno. Maybe I just didn't care for the characters or the story or anything else, and that was the last straw. I was hopeful too, because it's pretty rare to have a man writing romance/erotica, much less a bisexual man writing bisexual stuff.

[Edit: It's possible this appalling yeast infection of a sexual encounter happened in the next book, Bane: An MMF Romance? I can't remember, and I don't want to go back and find it. I didn't like either book]

The story had a lot of facets to it and I think that gave it more value than I expected to find in this type of story. Joanna was selfish and flighty. Devlin was inherently selfish so my favourite character was obviously Paulo but it is the other two's weaknesses that propelled the story forward and made the end all the more joyous. It seems Joanna was the 3rd wheel in this one though😃

This is a must read. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Alex is a master at writing a sexy captivating storyline. This book has it all, love, sex, romance and adventure on the high seas!
This is a story about Joanna, she's running from life but will fate intervene? Joanna meets handsome Paulo and sparks fly. When she meets bad boy millionaire Devlin, she realizes she is falling for them both. How can she choose between them or will she have to?
