Disclaimer
1- books has triggers
2- Another bait and switch, Ilias is only 6% of the actual book. know I feel like the authors wast to force the “Witch Academy” down my throat.
This is the second book I read for this author, and second book of the series. I had some issues with book one, but I decided to give it another try, the reviews are high, and I liked Ilias from the first book; but this story… like the first one make no sense. There is no background to fall back, people just “know” thins al of the sudden without explanation, h being beaten and abused.
I think I’m done.

Ilias is the baby of the group. He is the the one that Sophie has gotten close to. He is a mixture of her baby brother and her son. He starts to resent the fact that he is treated like the baby of the group because he is. He has gone through so much stuff in his life that it only makes sense that his mate is also going through a lot of stuff herself. Andrea start off by running over Ilias and that is their first encounter.

Over the course of the super, very short novella Andrea seems to always be in distress. She is the quintessential damsel in distress. She cannot protect or defend herself and that really annoys me. At least in Sophia's book, Aris, she tries to get out of the victim mentality. However Andrea seems to relish in it and I don't understand why. I understand that she is going through a lot however the way that she's written seems as though she will always need saving.

In the long run Ilias probably needs that type of mate. Since she has been through so much having a mate that solely depends on him boosts and up his confidence however a heroine who is weak does not make for a good book. Maybe in later books she will become stronger but in this book there was just a lot of self-doubt, a lot of depression, a lot of crying, and a lot of self-deprecation in this book.

The fight scene with the Gold Dragon who is out to kill the halflings was super anti-climatic. I just don't understand how quick and went by when the Gold Dragon was out to kill them. We don't even know if he's part of a bigger scheme because there was nothing more learned from the Gold Dragon and his death. That was super frustrating and annoying.

Ilias felt he was being watched, and he felt magic on his skin. A man stepped out in the park, armed with a sword, and forced Ilias’ body to move toward him. But as he crossed the street, a woman hit him with her car – which inadvertently saved his life!

He woke up surrounded by people. The woman who hit him had driven away; being high, she didn’t want to explain herself to the cops. Ilias didn’t want the crowd to notice his fast healing, and did not want to go to a hospital, so he ran while they were distracted and returned home. He again passed out.

When Ilias awakened again, he tracked down Andrea to reassure her he was okay. She was stunned to see him. But they arranged to meet the next day. He wanted to introduce her to his world. Would she believe what he was? Would she embrace him and his world or run? And could she overcome her addiction to find a new life with him?

There was a bit of awkward phrasing throughout the story that an editor could fix. The story itself moved along quickly and kept the reader’s interest. Ilias was a very likeable character. I think readers will enjoy this series.

Ilias follows on from the first book, these should probably be read in order, there are major spoilers for book one and I think you need to have read book one for this book to make sense.

I wasn't really sure about this series after book one, i was hoping that it would develop more in the second book but that didn't happen for me. It was enjoyable but it wasn't gripping.

The main relationship between Ilias and Andrea is a bit dysfunctional, they're both trying to protect themselves and test the other person and they just never seemed to mesh for me, it left me thinking that they aren't suited. They seemed to go from "I'm not sure about you even though we are 'fated'" to "OMG I love you" in the space of a chapter.

I like the concept, I'm just not sold on the execution.

The narrator did a good job, i liked the character voices and the overall delivery was good.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

5 Stars for narration; 3 Stars for story
Audiobook review: Ilias is a half dragon hybrid who by complete luck meets his soul mate in a very peculiar way. Mating for the two doesn’t happen very smoothly, both face their own demons while trying to come to terms with their new reality. I’ve enjoyed several of Sarah J Stone’s Books before but had a hard time connecting with the underlying drug issue and therefore with the lead female character The narrator did a great job with providing individual voices for each character. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Okay read

This book was a little better than the first but somehow still a little stilted. It did include the issue of addiction and how easily someone could fall into substance abuse and how hard it is too break the habit. It is nice that Ilias the youngest and sickest dragon got to find his mate and is saved from not only the illness but also a dragon that was determined to kill all of the group

A Troll and a Dragon..

This story line centers around the female lead, Andrea, and a sweet and determind dragon, Ilias.
Ilias has a few surprises in store for his birthday, and Andrea has a couple of serious obstacles to tackle.

Overall, an interesting and fast paced read. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Conner Brown did well with the narration.

And the story goes on with Ilias...

He meets his mate when she runs him down. Andrea is his mate, she has flunked out of college trying to be what her supposed friends thought she was or should be. So, she is addicted to meth and home to break the habit and doesn't know how to process who and what Ilias is or wants.

Read and enjoy.

Four stars!!

I liked this story, the idea of dual dragons intrigues me. Also, how the dragons interact like brothers. However, I feel that the story didn't have enough depth of story or characters.

Very short book about Ilias, the youngest of his dragon shifter group. He meets his mate, Andrea who is a mess - getting kidnapped and with her own problems, but a mate is a mate, right? I didn't warm up to Andrea and didn't really enjoy this book very much.

Ilias and Andrea both have issues to work on and will help each other. I love the theme of this series, someone needs help out of a bad situation that only finding their mate will solve.

Don't mess with the female dragon. Well...once she has found her rightful place at any rate. Ilias didn't realize that with his birthday there would be changes because he was still to focused on Andrea accepting him as her mate. He is the baby and use to everyone thinking they knew what needed to be done. He hated it and tried to rely only on himself when Andrea got into trouble. She has a boat load to contend with and you'll find out more when you read the story. It is much like coming of age...for both of them.

I voluntarily read this Advance Review Copy and am loving this series. Each story always finds a way to include all of the other dragons in the family. It also includes a bad dragon out to take them all out. You could read these as standalone books, but because they bring all the dragons into play you might want to start at the beginning so you don't get confused.

Another great read by Sarah J Stone

This story dove so far into all the character that it was marvelous to read along with. With the Other taking back people and magic disappearing there was a lot of why and who. So sorry that is my input in the Dragon of Umora series. Those books are included in this set. The books in this set of that series is Cole, Alexander, Peter and Nicholas. They are all brothers and of Royal Blood. You also get previews of three other books.

This story starts with Ilias a young dragon who hasn't shifted yet and his mate who he finds after she hits him with her car. So the story goes from this first action packed scene. This series just gets better with each new found mate that comes along. I can't wait to read the next one.

Another wonderful story from Ms Stone, which I easily read in one sitting. Ilias is portrayed with a soft and gentle heart and the book was a delightful and captivating read. I’m looking forward to more from this series and hope that Zarin’s story isn’t too far off in the future.

Ilias is the baby of his dragon family. He and Andrea are mates, but she's battling a few challenges in her life. This was a nice addition to the rest of the Stratham Dragons series. Not so much about sex, but more about Ilias and Andrea meeting and how they navigate the tricky road to being each other's mates. It was a little short, and I wish there was more romantic development between them. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
