This was a pretty good series. The books aren't all that long.
Stephanie is leaving everything behind in the US to go to college. She is one smart woman but you wouldn't think so by looking at her. She has tattoos and wears black. She's also recovering from a lose. I won't say what kind because I don't want to give too much away. She never knew how much her life would change when she went away to college.
Fredrick is a billionaire. He seems to be pretty down to earth and doesn't think he's better than any one else. Not your normal billionaire and that is what I like about him. He is also getting over a lose. It seems that these two have a lot in common. He also learns out some hard truths that would bring many people down.
I really enjoyed reading this story and it had several twists and turns. I didn't know how this book was going to turn out. The only problem that I had with the book is the way it ended. It seems like there was meant to be more to it. Maybe I'm wrong but that was my only problem.
The Boss Me Series, complete Three Book Set by Brooke Kinsley. I received this set free and I'm voluntarily giving my honest review. It was easy to get into the characters and the storyline in this series. I loved the interaction between the main two characters Stephanie Blomquist and Fredrick Milton. Stephanie is a math genius from Kansas who gets a scholarship to a university in London, England. Fredrick is an ex student at the same university and now a billionaire looking for the best mathematical students. Fredrick's missing wife shows up ruining everything. I'm glad I had the three book set because these stories end like a soap opera. If I had read the first book alone I would never read the next book. The set is the way to read these books. In the end everything works out. Though I really don't care for the way she ends her books. They end very abruptly. You feel like you're left hanging.
This is a great read. Frederick has his hands full with his ex-wife, but mathematical genius Stephanie steals his heart in a very short time. the story starts out with Stephanie getting a scholarship to school in London where her life will change dramatically. After everything she's been through, she's excited to be able to start over. Meeting Frederick Milton, a billionaire alumni, wasn't in her plans, but they hit it off and things go from there. After some shady things happen at the school, and his soon to be ex-wife shows up, things are beginning to look a bit shaky. Penelope loses her mind and tries to get Frederick back and take Stephanie from him. Must read to find out more, I'm not going to spoil it for you
Boss Me Please: Book One A great start to a hot series. Love Stephanie but the jury is still out on Fredrick.
Boss Me Dirty: Book Two Very dramatic in this novella. At this point in not sure what's up with wife/ex except that she seems crazy. I'm beginning to think Stephanie should just leave Fredrick alone.
Boss Me Good: Book Three A beautiful ending to a beautiful story that kept you on the edge of your seat while reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The Boss Me Series, by Brooke Kinsley, includes the three books: Boss Me Please (1), Boss Me Dirty (2), and Boss Me Good (3). Separately these are short books, but together, they combine to be a nice boxed set. Very quick read. Steamy/hot and some humor added for good measure.
I would firstly say that all three books together were of a Novella length compared to most books. I enjoyed this book (which was given to me as an arc) and will give this 4 stars on Amazon. I am still wondering how the title fits to the story.
Steph is a very real heroine, with bad habits, a strong personality and she didn't strike you as a typical mathematical genius (but are they really all dorky and straight-laced?). She knew what she wanted sexually and wasn't afraid to ask for it.
I got less of a feel for Freddie as the book was only written from Steph's POV. I would have liked him a lot more had I 'heard' his voice in this book too. Freddie came across as a little bit weak or naive at times - not self-made billionaire characteristics. I liked his vulnerability and would have preferred the character to just be very rich .... we don't really have THAT many self-made billionaires in the UK and it just wasn't believable. For a supposedly intelligent man he seemed very gullible where his ex was concerned too.
The writing was good quality and the book was easy to read with natural dialogue and a smooth flow to the plot. I did get confused about the time line at one point and wasn't sure if a few days or a few weeks had passed. (Note to author - I like my romances to evolve over a more realistic time period of weeks rather than days).
I loved the twists and turns of the plot and in future books would love to see the author explore peoples pasts and their motivations in more depth and really build on some of her ideas. There were lots of good sub-plots in the book but some of them were over and done with in a few paragraphs or pages. More flesh on these bones would have lifted this to a 4 or even 5 star book.
SPOILER ALERT - SKIP NEXT PARAGRAPH TO AVOID For example, we find out Steph had a miscarriage but there was very little exploration of how this affected her and only one or two comments made on it.
This is a steamy read and had some really genuine moments that lifted it out of the 'run of the mill' genre. A little more depth at times would have made this an outstanding book.
Boss Me Series Books 1-3 by Brooke Kinsley is a Billionaire Romance

A change of pace is exactly what Stephanie needs after suffering a miscarriage, plus life at home with her mother and mean sister Susan isn't all rainbows, sunshine and smiles. Homesickness soon hits, but Frederick, an insanely gorgeous billionaire, helps take Stephanie's mind off things.

Frederick's confidence flees out the door when he's with the smart and beautiful Stephanie and he inadvertently offends her. After Frederick explains himself and apologises, Stephanie finds herself charmed by his endearing ways and they start seeing each other.
Stephanie is on top of the world ... studying abroad on a scholarship ... dating a handsome billionaire ... being picked to to play in a poker tournament with a prize of £20,000. Until her world comes crashing down. The £20,000 prize money is stolen. And Stephanie is a suspect. Frederick has an ex-wife who wants him back. And she's willing to do anything to get him back.
Boss Me is an interesting story that's thrilling, suspenseful and steamy with a bit of kink and lots of twists and turns. Brooke Kinsley created believable characters who drew me in with their endearing flaws and easy to relate to vulnerabilities. Frederick and Stephanie have a special rapport and out of this world chemistry which leads to sexy time in the library, car, restaurant bathroom, etc. The ending was highly conducive to another box set, which I hope is in the works. I highly recommend this book.
This is my first book of Brooke and it is a really good read. Stephanie is a math genius college student in london and Freddy is an ex student-turned billionaire, looking for best mathematical students. The chemistry between Stephanie and Freddy is hot and instant. Everything seems to be going well between them until Freddy's pregnant wife resurfaces. Feeling used and betrayed,Stephanie's new found happiness is cut short. Will Freddy be able to clear all the misunderstandings between them or will Freddy's wife gains the upperhand? In all,it was a great story line.I just wish there had been more character and plot development to give a much needed closure at the end.
Stephanie goes off to London to attend college on a scholarship. She meets Fredrick/Freddie, an ex-student who became a billionaire. They do have a case of instalust, and theirs is a bit of a rough road, including a crazy ex and misunderstandings. I did feel like there wasn't quite as much development as I'm used to seeing, but they had good chemistry. Also, even though Stephanie might have been a little wild at the beginning, her character matured through the story. I wanted to see Freddie be a little more protective of Stephanie where Penelope was concerned as well, and I felt like they didn't really get a full HEA. But overall, I really enjoyed this story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Boss Me Please This is a really quick little story with lots of spice. I love that Stephanie is brilliant and is not afraid to own it. And I really appreciate that Frederick isn't the typical Alpha billionaire. Just watch out for the twist at the end of this tale. Boss Me Dirty Another quick and spicy read in the Boss Me series. The ante's been upped on both the drama and the angst. Stephanie's still her brilliant self but we're reminded she's still a student in her twenties. Frederick becomes an even more complex character as we learn more about his past. Boss Me Good The quick and sexy conclusion to the trilogy. The drama and lies get thicker around Stephanie and Fredrick before the satisfying climax. There are even a couple of unexpected twists here that I didn't see coming. This was an enjoyable series to read. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
**** I recieved this Boxed set as an ARC for an honest review ****
You have to read the books in order because they continue. The concept of the entire series was good, but the whole thing was rushed, missing a lot of info on both main characters. There was too much emphasis on sex scenes and not enough on the story itself.
Stephanie's a math genius who gets a scholarship to Knightswood University in London, much to her delight, but it also scares her as she'll have to leave everything that she's known behind in Kansas. Once there she settles quickly into university life, even becoming popular & knows as one of the most gifted students there. Fredrick's a billionaire and previous Knightswood student, who's volunteering in the class she attends, to source the most talented mathematicians, unbeknown to her. When Stephanie gets top marks for a mysterious test, she gets closer to Fredrick. Will she find out the truth about Fredrick & how will she react? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was a very quick and yummy little read. This is the complete series and I was lucky enough to get them as an ARC. I love the billionaire books that are out there. I have not read anything by Brooke Kinsley before this. But I am finding a lot of new authors this year. This starts with Stephanie going off to college in London on a scholarship. That is how she runs into a former student and billionaire named Fredrick Milton. I would have to say it was a well done instalove romance IT gets all under your skin and is all steamy. Grab this boxset for yourself. You will enjoy it.
Stephanie and Fredrick do not have much in common at first sight. She is the girl with a modest background, he is the successful billionaire. Nevertheless, they have many similarities that connect them. Their story is exciting with some quite hot scenes.
The plot holds a lot of potential, but the story has some gaps that could have been more embellished. And also the end is a bit abrupt, which I personally find a bit of a pity. That's why I only give 3.5 stars.
Arc review for honest review. This book has lots of twist and turns but it's a great read . I enjoyed the characters you can get individual reviews on each single book.
This trilogy was a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were twist and turns, enough to keep it interesting. I am glad I got this as a trilogy as you need to read each book to get the full story. I voluntarily reviewed this book with my honest opinion.
Stephanie gets a scholarship to a university in England where she meets former student and billionaire Frederick. This story was a good one with hot love scenes and an ex wife who is back in the picture. I only wish there was a bit more at the end. *I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book *
This book was steamy and it made me laugh. For Stephanie to be so pissed at Freddie she nearly torches his Bentley, had me dying. The time passage seemed weird, like too much was happening in the time span of a week. Penelope was definitely psychotic, but at least Stephanie and Freddie got their HEA.
'I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed'
GREAT BOOK! Read cover to cover as I couldn't put it down! SEXY as Sin Bad Boy Billionaire & a Voluptuous & Beautiful Mastermind Mathematician come together in this thrilling up and down, in and out roller-coaster ride of emotional romance. Strongly recommend this book for your own library. I voluntarily read this ARC and this is my honest review
Good attempt to create story that combines mystery and romance. Reasonably likeable characters but not sure whether the chemistry between them was convincing and particularly exciting. In my opinion there was more room to work on the storyline and its characters not only main but also supportive. The story was a little rushed towards the end and the explanations of the events somehow dismissed and felt unimportant. So overall very good story idea but requires to be more thought out to get full 5 stars.
