Lumberjack Love
He's waited forever for the perfect woman, and she's running from her past. Is it fate or something else?
Jackson is rough, ornery, and on most days the last person you would want to be around. He's a lumberjack in the backwoods of Georgia and he knows more than anyone that when a gorgeous woman shows up on your property uninvited it ain't fate.

Another fresh, sweet, lovely and fun story from the author i really enjoyed it especially its characters Jackson and Lola.... and well i certainly have a crush on Jackson his personality won me from the first page!!
Long story short Jackson is a lumberjack living alone in the woods without the comfort of TV or phones... he has simple life by himself.. until one day a woman arrives scared in his house seeking help, the thing that they don't know yet is that they are soulmates!! Lola is struggling to survive and the same time she's hiding from her ex shitty boyfriend, so her fate leads her to Jackson her to soon to be love of her life and the person that is going to turn her world upside down...
Well It's impossible not love this story, it's quick, steamy with many hot scenes and enjoyable dialogues.. In addition there is the element of the suspense about her relationship with her ex and him searching her and wanting her as a possession in order to use her for his gains. I certainly recommend it and I'm looking forward to read the next lovely story the author will create!!

A short story that has everything mixed in. Jackson is a man's man who works hard doesn't need anyone just wants to be alone in his house in the woods. Lola is a feisty one but still vulnerable her ex-boyfriend left her in the woods and was lost until arriving at Jackson's house. Together alone makes them both wanting each other and sparks are there as soon as their lips touch. I was iffy about Lola I felt like she was going to be trouble but she wasn't only had a crazy ex-boyfriend.

I hate to be a party pooper and write not so shiny and happy review here but...
Hell, this book was full of contradictions right from the beginning. One thing was said on one page and then we could read the total opposite of that on next page. For example, bad guy said that heroine belonged to him. The hero yelled at him that she belonged to no one but herself. And a few moments later, the hero himself said the heroine was his and belonged to him. You know, it was okay when he said that. *smirking face*

This is my second read by J.L. Beck and I'm realizing that while she isn't an awful writer, something about her style just keeps me from LOVING her books. There do tend to be quite a few typos in her work so that is a bit of an issue for my inner grammar-nazi but it's something more besides. . .I just can't quite put my finger on what it is that I don't like.
I liked the premise of the story and I didn't hate the relationship between Jackson and Lola. The virgin hero was a little bit unbelievable for me. .
It also annoyed me how quickly and simply the conflict with Lola's ex-boyfriend was resolved.
So this one gets 3 stars for me because while I didn't hate it, I simply couldn't like it very much either. Lots of good sexy-times so no complaints there. Perhaps I'm expecting too much from Ms. Beck's work? Should I just view her as a "go to" author for a quick sexy read (like I do Joanna Blake and Alexa Riley) and lower my expectations a bit? That could be the case, perhaps I will do so before I read anything else from her. Maybe that way I'll enjoy it more. We'll see. . .

Let's start with Jackson, he was just wow, I want to find this kind of sexy "all man" lumberjack in the middle of the woods and keep him for myself!
He had everything he needed, a lonely but fulfilling life, but he didn't know what was missing until he saw her.
Lola is running away from something really bad when she runs into this sexy, strong stranger and she just feels the connection immediately, there's no fighting the feelings they seem to evoke in each other. They felt inevitable from the start.
Their sex scenes are just so good, they couldn't help themselves from tearing each others clothes all the time.
But Lola is still afraid, because what she run away from might still come back for her and Jackson knows he will do anything to protect her.

This was a super quick, sweet & steamy read.
Jackson is a loner who prefers the company of himself and doesn't have a high tolerance for me and lives in a cabin in the woods. One day while chopping wood he meets Lola when she literally runs to him saying she just needs a place to stay, as much as he doesn't want to he can't tell her no. Jackson later finds out exactly what she's running from and do whatever he has to to protect her.
Lola and Jacksons attraction was instant. They both knew they had found what they were looking for in each other.
My favorite part of the story is the male hero Jackson gave his v card to Lola cause he was saving it for the one. I love it when the man is a virgin in the story instead of the doe eyed female, lol.

There is instant attraction but Jackson is gruff and tries to send her on her way.
When he gives in to let Lola stay things start happening.
It's nice to finally see where the male is the Virgin not the female. Wish more books were like this. Maybe Ms Beck will start a trend.

This was just the perfect happily ever after and instalove story. Jackson is the perfect alpha mountain man who didn't know what was missing. Lola storms into his life with her strong ways and it is a match made in heaven. While this was a short read it did not disappoint and JL Beck has done it again!

Yet another short amazing read by JL Beck. I was in love with Jackson right away. I have always loved a mountain man. I look forward to read JL Beck's books she never disappoints. This is a must read.

This was a great hot story that revolves around an extremely sassy woman and a hot alpha lumberjack. The story was great from the first sentence, and their first meeting and continued until the last page. I loved that the male lead, Jackson, in this story was the virgin and had no qualms about it. He was hot, alpha, did not put up with Lola’s crap. Jackson lives in a small town that is isolated from others and he finds himself in the care of a sassy, small and lively woman. Lola needs some time away from an ex-boyfriend and she strong arms the Jackson into letting her stay with him for a while. Jackson is the best alpha that this author has written to date. He was sweet, tough, hot, caring and bold. He protected what was his (Lola) and he did it with heart. Lola was a great female lead; she is brash and strong but soft and a bit broken. She fit Jackson perfectly. Their chemistry is hot and their romantic story is so sweet and fun. Their romance is fast and strong; completely insta-love. There is a little drama in the form of the new couple dealing with Lola’s ex-boyfriend but it doesn’t take up to much of the story. This is the author’s best book to date; it has everything that a reader looks for in a fast, hot alpha male read. I received an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

Loved this book!! J.L. did a great job giving us a story about a couple with off the charts chemistry in a novella. Not once did I feel short changed and like I was missing out on something. Some novellas can leave you feeling as if the story was ended abruptly and leave you hanging with a ton of question but I have yet to feel that way with J.L.'s novellas.

Jackson lives very isolated so he was surprised when a little slip of a woman came walking on his property. Lola had no idea what she was walking into when she came across the cabin in the woods and the shirtless sweaty man chopping wood, she only knew she was running away from the man that was no good for her. Jackson felt a spark as soon as her saw the beauty, and a sense of protectiveness deep down, not one for grand gestures but he knew he would help a damsel in distress.
I found the story a fast read, and loved the characters, I only wish that there was a little more background on Jackson, why no phone, why the simple life, why still a virgin? I enjoyed the whole story so much I wanted it to go a little deeper.

JL Beck’s books keep getting hotter and hotter. This is a great short story about a virgin lumberjack and a woman left in the woods by her now ex-boyfriend.
A man just minding his own business chopping wood gets a stiff wood from a woman hiding from her ex-boyfriend who just happens to be a criminal. Jackson lives along in his grandparents’ house looking for the same love they had while they were alive. In come Lola who steals his heart and his virginity.
Can their love survive the harsh life in the woods away from everyone and Lola’s ex-boyfriend that keeps coming back looking for her? Do they get the kind of love that last forever like Jackson’s grandparents?

I received and ARC from J.L. Beck. && It was amazing!
It was about love and fate.
I highly recommend this book if you are scared of naughty scenes.
A man that is a Virgin. doing hard labor and a female that is running from her past, sorta, meet in the woods and they feel this amazing attraction towards each other. Fate? i think yes! You don't have to know someone for a long period of time in order to know it's true love, if it is fate, then it is meant to be. Overall, Great book!!!

These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts...
I can't find the words I want to use to praise this book. The words sweet, thoughtful, sexy, and enjoyable don't feel strong enough to me. I wanted to write a review that would encompass the feel of Lumberjack Love for me, but I can't do it and not sound clichéd.
So, I'm going to tell you I absolutely loved this book! It's a true testament to how strong fate is and how things meant to be, will be.
Grab a copy and enjoy it because there is definitely a perfect Happily Ever After for the Lumberjack and his love.

When Lola lands on rough and tough Jackson's doorstep, it was divine intervention. Even though she and her ex-boyfriend were pretty much over, it was still a fairly quick instalust to instalove romance for her and Jackson. I loved how Jackson knew she was the one even though they had barely just met. Not too often the guy is the one falling in love first, but it worked here. Lola was at an impasse when she got left on the road, but luckily she found Jackson. Theirs was a fast and steamy romance, and Jackson is just swoonworthy. I voluntarily reviewed an advance review copy of this book.

Lola stumbles into his life and and gave his like a little extra sunshine, but she comes with a scary history. You can't but help to fall for this couple.

I devoured this book! The chemistry between Lola and Jackson was hot! This was one of those books you sit down and devour in one sitting. I couldn't put it down.
Jackson is rough and tough, and I love my men like that. He protects what belongs to him and that right there had me swooning like crazy. Lola is such a sweetheart. I feel like she would be my best friend.

This is a sweet and fun story about Jackson who is a lumberjack, and like to live alone, whose peace is shattered when Lola arrives on his property on the run from an ex boyfriend. These two have an instant and intense attraction between them, and are totally soulmates and perfect for each other. Will Jackson be able to protect Lola? You really need to give this a go for yourself!

A quick short read about a lumberjack, Jackson, and a woman, Lola, who comes across him in the woods while she is running away from her ex. It was a fate meeting and the lust/love was instant between the two. It was short, sweet, steamy and there is a little twist in the story regarding Jackson which I won't spoil for you, you'll just have to read it.

This is a sweet sexy story you can finish in a couple of hours and you have the HEA that leaves you with a good feeling about what you just read. The story is interesting from beginning to end with some hot sex thrown in to add spice. So I definitely recommend this book!! Enjoy!!

Quick read but enjoyable. Jackson is such an alpha male and a virgin to boot, which was a nice change. I like Insta-Love stories, I've been with my husband for 19 years this summer and it was Insta-Love for us. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is my first book by J.L. Beck and will not be my last! Another author recommended her books to me and I am definitely not disappointed. If you are looking for a quick, hot and steamy read this is your book. I will be reading more of her books. I borrowed with KU.

Another great, quick love story! Only thing that I would've liked to read about, was when Lola got to see her parents again for the first time after so long. Other than that, it was a sweet story!
