These books are maybe good for kids but even then when you have read one you have read them all. The dislike the happy hoppy language that describes everything as amazing and gives tips that aren't really that useful. As well as this the back of the book 'if you're school has its own book making area' - how many schools have one of them? Which children is this book aimed at?
A good starter book for children (4th-7th grade?) interested in writing mysteries. Every two page spread introduces a topic and a writing exercise, building upon the pages before.
