Charlie Williams’ view on relationships is simple—one night, no strings, move on.

But when the opportunity to see a girl from his past comes up, Charlie finds himself breaking all his own rules. Ever since the night he'd turned her away, Charlie hasn't been able to get Charlotte off his mind. A break from his pub for a vacation across the pond should be enough to cure him of his curiosity and get her out of his system. At least, he hopes…

Charlotte Mackay channels love through coffee.

Running her fandom-themed store and specialty coffee bar keeps her nerdy heart busy after one too many relationship disappointments.
Until the man she can’t manage to forget calls.

Charlie’s coming to The Hamptons for a two-week vacation. She’s going to be his host—nothing more. She'd fallen under the spell of his bedroom eyes and roguish charm once before, and it nearly wrecked her. Charlotte can’t risk the same mistake twice.

But love knows no boundaries when two hearts collide.

He owns the tavern handed down through the generations. It is his heritage, his life and far more reliable and less demanding than a woman. Known as a one night stand kind of guy, Charlie has never wanted ANY woman for more than a few hours, except the one that he pushed away.

She owns a coffee shop that has never seen a creation she can’t name. It is her life, part of her soul and fills the empty spot in her life from the many men who have disappointed her. A fun nerd, the life of every party, Charlotte never found the man she could live without, until that one guy who pushed her away “for her own good.”

So why haven’t they tried again to make a go of love? The Atlantic Ocean, fear of falling in love, fear of commitment, to name a few reasons. When Charlie gets a once of a lifetime chance to reconnect with the woman his heart has never forgotten, he crosses that ocean only to find that, yes, Charlotte is THE ONE> Is he ready to change his hound dog ways? Charlotte knows, warts and all, that Charlie is her soul mate, but how do they breach the ocean that divides their lives and the businesses that have become their life’s blood?

WHEN TWO HEARTS COLLIDE by the dynamic writing duo of Tonya Loveday and Candace Knoebel have served up a pint of awesome, real world conflict with a chaser of hot and foamy double shot love! Talk about two strong-willed characters! Talk about a woman who knows what she wants but will not compromise her self-worth to toddle off to the caveman’s cave! Absolutely wonderful reading, entertaining, humorous, and sometimes almost heartbreaking, I was so involved, I wanted to do some serious talking to each of these characters! Oh Charlie, did you really say that? I have no idea how Charlotte didn’t send you to the moon.

Fun, sweet, quirky and sometimes nerve-wracking, Tonya Loveday and Candace Knoebel have a gem of read for romance lovers to hang on to!

I received an ARC edition from Candace Knoebel in exchange for my honest review.

Charlie and Charlotte's story was beautiful and heartrending. Two amazing characters who instantly stole my heart, I was cheering for them every step of the way.

Charlie may be portrayed as a womanizing player, but he's the type of guy who has a heart of gold and is so damn irresistible that you can't help falling for him, flaws and all. He is what ever romance reader wants from a male lead - the "bad boy" just waiting for the right woman to come along (and, of course, that sexy accent warrants special mention, too!). Not that he needed rescuing, per se, it was just that Charlotte offered him everything he needed and wanted, and the experience took him completely by surprise. I loved the moment when he realized that there was more to this stunning woman.

Charlotte was adorable. I loved everything about her, especially the fact that she wasn't afraid to be who she was. She was dorky, fun and sweet. I loved how she stood up for her dreams and wasn't going to let anything, not even love, stand in the way of them.

When things started to go south, my heart was in my throat. Watching Charlie fall to pieces pained me so much and I just wanted to reach into this book and give him the biggest hug. Charlotte went through her own turmoil but I think it devastated Charlie in ways he never knew were possible. Thankfully they both had amazing friends in their corners, ready to help them pick up the pieces, and just waiting to give them a swift kick up the rear when they needed it most.

This book was filled with sexual tension and the chemistry between Charlie and Charlotte was all fiery passion, but in a way that was real and believable. The emotion and angst was relatable which only sucked me further into this story and made the characters more endearing. Knoebel and Loveday didn't make things easy for either of them, even at those moments when I though "Yes! Finally, this is when everything will fall into place and all will be right in the world again.". They proved that love can be messy, it can be hard, and it's all about compromise, understanding and acceptance - It's also about not letting go, even when it seems like everything has gone to hell.

P.S. If you're not all about hearts and romance, this book is worth the read just for The Raven's Den alone! Please tell me a place like this really exists!!! If not, we need to rectify that STAT!

This particular series can be read as a stand-alone, but I assume the other books contain the minor characters in When Two Hearts Collide. Book #3 introduces us to Charlie and Charlotte. I have to admit; I wasn't keen on the characters names being so similar as of course, Charlie can also be a nickname for Charlotte. Charlie is your typical English playboy and has a no repeats policy when it comes to sleeping with women. He also owns the local pub which was his inheritance from his Uncle. Charlotte lives in the Hamptons and is from America, she owns her quirky shop called The Raven's Den, and I have to admit I loved it as it was exactly the quirky and nerdaholic store I would love to own, and I have to admit I swooned when she poured herself Mr.Darcy Tea. Charlotte's best friend Hannah is attached to Charlie's friend Ed. Hannah was supposed to go on vacation to the Hamptons and spend time with Charlotte, but when a work function comes up that she can't miss, Hannah gives her ticket to Charlie. Months ago, Charlotte and Charlie met, and they nearly did the deed, but Charlie backed out last minute as he felt something for Charlotte. I have to admit, the rest of this novel is a lot of back and forth, and emotions being chucked around by both Charlie and Charlotte as the pair obviously love one another but neither wants to compromise or make sacrifices for the other. I guess that's where the name of the Series "A Game of Hearts" comes into play as it is an angsty love/hate novel between Charlie and Charlotte right the way through - right up to the very last chapter.
If you are wanting a New Adult novel filled with Angst and Torn Hearts with a bit of game-playing, manipulation and pulling the heart strings - then check out Book #3 in Sonya Loveday and Candace Knoebel's series "When Two Hearts Collide."

I generously received this ARC from the author and IndieSagePR in exchange for an honest review...

Although this book is technically the third book in the Game of Hearts series, it can easily be read as a standalone, which is good because I didn't know that when I signed up for a copy of this book. However, I am super happy that I didn't know because I probably would have signed up and I would have missed out on an extraordinarily captivating read. While the previous two books may have dealt with characters from the first two in the series, I had not trouble getting into this book whatsoever. This story flowed so well and I could hardly set it down. I literally binge read this book in less than two hours due to the fact that the moment I opened it I needed to finish it.

I adored the undeniable chemistry between Charlotte and Charlie (how awesome are their names btw?). What begins as a ONE NIGHT STAND soon turns into something more when Charlotte tries to convince Charlie that it's not always the only option. Love can be discovered around any corner and an unexpected love can be thrust upon you when you least expect it. This was a sweet and lovable read that will have you anticipating the end, but at the same time wishing it would never be over...

When two hearts collide This was an enchanting tale of a couple who fell for each other dispute all the odds stacked against them. Gaining a second chance to spend time together they expose all of their hidden feelings and see just what awesome chemistry can do to a couple! They fall in love and make the mistake of thinking that's the simple part but unfortunately it serves to drive them apart. They must discover how much they Truly love one another and learn to make sacrifices to make it work! I felt that this was a well written story! I absolutely fell in love with the character's and i wished I was able to watch it in a movie! I'm a sucker for a good steamy romance story! I rate this book with four stars

WHEN TWO HEARTS COLLIDE by Candace Knoebel and Sonya Loveday was.....amazing....to put it simply. I did not know that this was the third novel in a series, and loved the fact that I was able to pick up reading seamlessly, and not be confused on characters, timelines, or anything of the such. Each character that was introduced was basically given a brush up on their past with the main characters, and I feel like that made it 10x easier to understand the story line, and conflict that happens between main characters, Charlie, and Charlotte (so cute!)

Essentially, as it goes, boy meets girl, girl falls in love with boy who swears nothing will ever pull him from his outrageous belief that one night stands are the THING for him. That is until girl enters his world, and turns it upside down in the middle of the said one night stand. Now, I'm not going to go into too much detail about the overall gist of the story; it's honestly perfect in every way, and for the complete jerk that Charlie was in the beginning will have you swooning by the end, and you'll absolutely love Charlotte. Honestly, I loved this book. I loved the characters. I loved everything about it.

A brilliant 5 Stars to Candace Knoebel and Sonya Loveday!

Love.
It can be a beautiful thing, but also painful.
It can make your life whole, but it can also tear you apart.
It’s one of those emotions we all long to feel.

But what happens when the one you love is unattainable?
What happens when your one true love lives worlds a part?
What happens when you’ve finally found your soul mate, but it just won’t work?
You break.
You hurt.
You bleed.
It crushes your very core.

Welcome to Charlie and Charlotte’s world.

Charlie lives in England, Charlotte in the United States.
A chance meeting while Charlotte was competing, their chemistry was off the charts.
They wanted each other.
They needed each other.
But Charlie couldn’t.
He wouldn’t allow to get emotionally attached.
It scared him to death.
So they parted ways.
But they were never far from each others thoughts.

Move forward two years.
Charlie and Charlottes worlds collide one more time.
But will they get their happily ever after?

I’ve not read either of these authors before so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
What I got was a great read that kept me intrigued from beginning to end.
I enjoyed the banter between the characters which at times was quite comical and I found myself giggling my head off.
I loved the chemistry you could feel between both Charlie and Charlotte.
Their story was light hearted, fun and a joy to read.
And on the flip side it was at times raw and a little confronting.
A novel which mixed it up with highs and lows that kept me entertained.
Overall a great read which I recommend.

4 stars.

I loved this book! A fabulous RomCom with a second-chance romance full up with humor, steam, and meddling friends. Charlie and Charlotte had a close encounter once, and have to figure out how a relationship that spans the Atlantic might work. But their explosive passion has equal likelihood of catching fire as burning out.
If you love quirky characters who don't quite know what to do when they fall in love, this is the book for you. Charlotte's unicorn obsession and Charlie's rules regarding women will keep you on your toes trying to determine just where these two are headed.

When I first started reading this book I didn't know what to make of it. I must admit it took me until Chapter 5 to get into this book.
But I am really glad I persevered as I ended up devouring the rest of the book in one sitting.
This is a true love story, with two people who have to overcome many obstacles just so they can be with one another.
There were times this story had such raw emotion, and my mind was going a mile a minute wondering how the two main characters could possibly stay together.
The ending to this book is just beautiful, gives me faith that love can indeed conquer all.
I highly recommend this book

I was given a review copy of this book from one of the authors and I squealed! I squealed even more when the author told me that I was the first person to have the book besides their editor lol! I love these authors books that they've written themselves, but I love their co-written books even more! I also really enjoyed the first two books in this series, so I was looking forward to reading more! After reading, I can say that I loved this book! I was intrigued from the first page, and because there wasn't a synopsis at this point, I had no idea what to expect lol! I normally hate going into a book blind, but I'm so happy I did with this book! The plot only took me a few sittings to read and it had me hooked! I loved the relationship development between the two main characters, and it was very sweet and genuine! The plot also developed at the perfect pace and there were some really hot scenes in it! The plot also had plenty of romance in it, and although it didn't have any action or suspense in it, the romance was definitely enough to keep me reading on! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Charlie was the main male character, and he was a secondary character in the other books in this series, so I was excited to read his story! In this book, Charlie was such a sweetheart and was very easy for me to connect with! He did have some bad luck at the beginning of this book lol, but he soon came face-to-face with a dilemma when it came to his love interest! They both lived on different sides of an ocean to each other, so it was difficult for them to develop a relationship! Charlie tried his best though and he was seriously hot with his love interest too! Charlotte was the main female character and love interest of Charlie! Charlotte was also a secondary character in the other books in this series! I loved Charlotte in this book! She was running a successful business that she owned, and she knew what she wanted in life! Well, until it came to the romance side of stuff lol! Charlotte wasn't sure how to deal with her feelings for Charlie and especially with their dilemma! She didn't want to leave her business and Charlie didn't want to leave his! They both definitely compromised though lol! I loved that this book was written from both and Charlotte's point of views! I was obviously expecting it to be co-written as the book was written by two authors, so I'm really happy it was! It helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot! I also couldn't really tell which author wrote which character, but I had a slight inkling because I know what these authors like! I could be wrong though lol! I'm also not sure if there's going to be another book in this series, but I really hope there is! I see potential for a few secondary character to have their stories told, but I'm not sure what the authors have planned! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! I loved it as soon as I saw it and it does make more sense after you read the book lol! I love how well it suits the book too! Big thank you to Sonya and Candace for an ARC of When Two Hearts Collide!

***I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.*** What happens when a one night stand, love them and leave them, seems to turn your emotions into more? Charlie didn’t want anything more than that, however he could not take his mind off of one lady in particular, Charlotte. So what do you do to get a particular person off your mind for good? You see them one last time and hope it resolve any issues. With a plan in place, Charlie makes his way to the Hamptons and hires Charlotte has his host. Charlotte, doing the professional thing, will do her job for 2 weeks and continue on with her life, maybe? Both of these fun loving characters have residual feelings for each other. Can these 2 work their personal feelings out of themselves, or is it possible there is more between them that they realize?
This story was very well written, and keeps you going from the moment you start reading. There are plenty of laughs to have. These authors do an excellent job of having you fall in love with the characters. You can easily feel what these characters feel. This is definitely a great, good hearted read so far this year. I look forward to more writings from these authors. I can’t wait to get sucked into another new world.

Review by Country Gals BOOK Blog

Charlie is a hit 'em and quit 'em kind of guy. He has no time or need to have more than that with any woman. Yet he can't get Charlotte out of his head. He wants her but he knows he's no good for her. After the way they left off, he doesn't expect anything more but when he gets a second chance, he decides it's time to see what they have.

Charlotte can't forget her time with Charlie and now that he's here on, vacation she has to show him around without losing her heart but he's making it difficult.

Charlie and Charlottes relationship is complicate. Living an ocean away, both owning a business they love, it's hard to imagine how they will ever figure out how to be together. Someone will have to give up their entire life or risk losing their heart. And they both make it impossible not to root for them to figure it out. This story was fun and had quite a few laughs. The characters are opposites but meld together well like yin and yang. The heartbreak they experience I could feel too. The author did a great job at grabbing the readers attention and hooking you. This was a wonderful read and I hope to read more from these authors.

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from the Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Sonya and Candace for providing me with a copy of this book. I have read the first two books in this series and the first 3 books in Sonya's series The Six so when I had the opportunity to read and review this book I jumped at it.

While this is the third book in the A Game of Hearts novel it could be read as a stand alone. This book follows Charlotte and Charlie. Charlotte and Charlie first met in the second book, Runaway Heart. Neither have spoken in the years since. When Hannah can't make her trip to visit Charlotte, Charlie takes her place.

Charlie and Charlotte have always had high sexual tension so with two weeks together things were always going to get intimate. I loved the banter between these two. It's so natural and easy you ca't help but enjoy it.

There were parts of this book that were heart destroying and parts that had me jumping for joy.

I absolutely loved the fairy tale bit. It was my favourite princess too. I also adored Charlotte's store. It seems like the sort of place I would love to spend my spare time.

Cherry is a character that you can't help but love and I hope that she has her own story soon.

I absolutely loved this story. Not only is it a story about trying to claim a love that's been on hold, but Mr. Charlie had a bit of growing up to do as well.

Charlie and Charlotte are very lovable characters. Although you are going to want to slap Charlie around quiet a few times, he does have very redeeming moments throughout.

A very thought out and expertly executed story, these characters are sure to stay with the reader for sometime. I know they've wormed their way into my heart.

this a second chance at love read. when Charlie first met Charolett he didn't leave the best first impression, he let her get away and now he has a chance. Charlotte never forgot Charlie or how he made her feel good and bad now she's having to play host to him for two weeks what could go wrong or right? I loved it.

Charlie was a different type of character for me. He was hard to win me over. He had this player/womanizer side of him that makes you dislike him but at the same time, he has a big huge heart that is made of gold. Charlotte on the other hand, is this instantly liked character who is completely comfortable in her own skin and has no apologies for being her. This story takes you on a roller coaster and even though Charlie had to grow on me, I found myself rooting for them. Although I was concerned with things seemed to start to crack and fall apart. During this tumultuous part of the story, I found myself wanting to wring their necks! Although, I gotta say, watching the sexual tension grow between the two was fun because they were fighting it but you knew it was going to happen so when it did, I at least, said out loud, finally! I'm not a mushy romance reader, so I really enjoyed this story. Now, to read the first two books in this series AND follow this series.

When Two Hearts Collide by Cadance Knoebel and Sonya Loveday
“Distance makes the heart grow fonder, 4 stars”

Charlie and Charlotte met through mutual friends years ago. On Charlotte’s last night in London she found herself in a vunerable place with Charlie. Charlie had never been attracted to a woman as much as he had been to Charlotte causing him to walk away.
Years later Charlie is warn down, he needs a break. When a friend gives him a chance to go to hang out in the States with the only woman he’s ever looked back on, he takes it. He figured spending time with Charlotte will be the only way too battle his desire for her away. Or will he get the surprise of his life?
Charlie said he would call years ago before she left London, but he never did. Charlotte has never seen the hard side of love and believes if you love someome the rest will be a cake walk. Will she be in for a rude awaken when her prince charming comes knocking?
Charlie and Charlotte are opposites, they are in different areas in their lives, but most of all there is an ocean between their homes. Take a chance on When Two Hearts Collide to see what happens when love finds you unexpectedly.
I continue to read Loveday and Koebel’s stories waiting for the day I can tell when one ends and the other starts, but like always the story is flawless. If one didn’t know better they would think it is one author throughout the story.
Here are a couple quotes I loved fron When Two Hearts Collide;
“I WASN’T ONE TO PUT much stock into fate. Nor was I one for reading into signs. All of it was pure and complete hooey to me. There was no impactful moment when a person looked into someone’s eyes and, BAM, that was it.”
“It was like seeing a visual of my life. Me, the rock, steady in one place, never changing no matter how many waves pushed themselves over me. I’d stay in my place and watch them wash back out, sending a new one in. Over time, and experience, the surface would wear, become polished in some places, but again, it would be unmovable. However, like every stone that constantly gets tossed about, or slammed against, there would be that one wave, filled with enough sand to wear it down. Either make it crumble or into something better than it was.”
“I saw ye just like this. Spread for me. Waiting for me to come to you. And I will come to you like a sailor home from the sea. You are home to me.”

Plot- 4/5
Characters- 4/5
Heat-4/5
Writing style- 5/5
Overall- 4/5
