The Line: An Adventure into Your Creative Depths

Rate this book
Feeling stuck creatively, or just missing your spark? Try The Line—perfect for creators, or anyone looking for an adventure

From the revolutionary mind of Wreck This Journal author Keri Smith comes an encouraging guide to discovering and trusting your inner voice, all through the guise of making a simple line. As you move through the pages of this book, you’ll be asked to start a line, and then to take it through a series of increasingly interesting and meaningful adventures, from letting your line meander or jump around the pages, to using it to help you explore your past, make decisions, and discover the good in your world. A deceptively simple journey, you’ll discover that with your one original line, you have the power to transform the world.

“Keri Smith may well be the self-help guru this DIY generation deserves.” —The Believer

Unique book that has you look at different options in life as you draw a line - nice for someone who just graduated from college! I found this book very original; I would have liked to have read it when I was much younger. This would be the perfect graduation gift to get a student who is planning to go to college!

A simple yet cute book that may help you out in life with creative activities. I enjoyed the book and I can recommend it mostly to teens but also to anyone that is willing to try new things.

Not really my thing, but it is definitely the type of book I would have been into when I was younger. It is a new and unique take on an activity book that kids will love. Unfortunately, unlike Wreck This Journal, The Line is one that children will finish much more quickly, so don't expect it to occupy them all day. The good news is that this book will be less messy that Wreck This Jornal.

If you're just about to read, follow instructions and don't go ahead! There is a really powerful message towards the end and the journey you'll go through into discovering that message is worth it!

One of my favourite "Creativity Journals" because not only did it have wonderful creativity prompts at every page, it really had a powerful message at the end.

It's more of a drawing book. I didn't see the message it was sending

I love the prompts that allow you to create with freedom,no right or wrong. I was surprise it gave me some great ideas to use in the future. Doing a few pages at a time worked best for me.
