This is the sequel to Expecting my Billionaire Stepbrother's Baby
The baby she’s always wanted.
Viola has done everything in her power to make sure she was prepared for the birth, but it all goes horribly wrong.
Restricted to bed rest and relegated to her old bedroom away from Drake, Viola struggles to come to terms with the new status quo. It doesn’t help that her husband, who has always been there for her in the past, loyal by her side, is becoming increasingly distant.
Suspicious that he’s being unfaithful she seeks to find out the truth. She feels betrayed, helpless. There’s nowhere to turn. Without Drake by her side, the walls begin to crumble.
Can Viola save her marriage or will she head down a relentless spiral, and end up destroying all that she has come to love and cherish?
Author’s note: Please be aware that the content of this book, while steamy (as to be expected from me), does however deal with some heavy issues and topics that may make you uncomfortable. This is not your typical stepbrother romance! If you feel you may be triggered by topics such as suicide, depression, or maternal mental illness, then you may want to skip this book.
This book is different than the other books than what the author has written. It is dealing with tough topics. The author writes this story with sensitive touches and there is still the same passionate scenes and awesome chemistry between the MC, but this does deal with some heavy issues. Viola gives birth to her son and then is suffering from post partum depression pretty bad. She starts to believe her husband Drake is having an affair, doesn’t feel the connection with her newborn son who hasn’t even been named, and her whole world is just coming apart. She starts to feel like there is no one she can trust. In this book, Viola does finally find out an answer to a question that has hounded her for years but it wasn’t the happy ending she expected. There are twists and turns and a beautiful ending to a emotionally gripping story. I would have liked the ending to not have been so rushed but overall, a great story.
My rating: 4.5 stars **** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
The new mother woke up from a nightmare, screaming for her missing child. The nurse came in to calm her and promised to bring the baby to her. When she finally gets to go home, she needs help and a nanny is hired. But Vi is suspicious and uncomfortable. The baby cries when she goes near; her emotions are out of control; she feels abandoned, alone, and betrayed.
I was surprised that no one, especially in the hospital, immediately caught on to the post-partum depression that Vi was experiencing. Although I never experienced it myself, I was aware of it and it was the first thing I thought of in the opening pages.
The author handles this extremely well. Her descriptions help the reader understand what Vi is feeling and her frustration and confusion. Unfortunately, she didn’t receive the comfort and support she needed. As she acted out, those close to her pulled away.
Raising awareness of this very real scenario is a valuable gift from the author. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to read this book and express my honest opinion. The book could be a trigger for some, but it could also open the eyes of others to recognize such symptoms in someone dear to them and get them help.
WOW I was totally NOT expecting this storyline! Hats off to this author, very well written story dealing with a very tough subject and wrote very sympathetically, I was actually stunned when I started getting into this story not knowing what the storyline was going to be and expecting another lovey, fluffy story and getting an actual heartbreaking story of depression, LOVED the characters and loved the ending 😊 It was also nice that as this was set in England, our words were used, like knickers instead of panties, bum instead of ass, but we say mum/mummy not mommy, but this is being picky in a fun way 😉😁
Emilio Beaumont has captures the real life struggles of postpartum depression. Video hasn't been the same since she had her beautiful baby boy and Drake hides in his work when he's scared. The problem is no one has diagnosed her crazy behavior until she takes time away from her family and runs into the least likely person to help her. Well done!
I had a hard time with this book. It seemed like it was all over the place. It was really hard for me to finish the book. If you like to read books about depression then this is the one for you. I just like to read happier stories. I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review.
This story was wonderfully done. Postpartum depression is real it can strike any new mother. Beaumont's portrayal of it was realistic and dead on. I was so happy to see an author take the initiative to write about some thing so personal and making it known. Great read.
Loving My Billionaire Stepbrother’s Baby by Emilia Beaumont I was not sure what to think about this story as I first started to read it. Though it was rough for me to get through the first part I’m glad I stuck with it. “I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book”.
This story was intense. I didn't go through this experience myself, but to see how it actually looks like through the eyes of someone who did, it's sad that these things happen. I loved Violet and Drake's characters. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
A lot of it is about Vi's struggles post partum. Roller coaster of emotions as she tries to understand and make sense of her disconnect/detachment. Life isn't what she expected it to be but she eventually learns how to navigate and communicate better with Drake.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
Normally when I read a book written in single POV I give it 4 stars no matter how much I like it but Loving My Billionaire Stepbrother's Baby was so awesomely good I had to give it the full 5 stars! Emilia Beaumont is such an exceptional writer! She touched on a very serious and delicate, real life issue and she did it with sensitivity and grace. Drake and Viola are step siblings that are also husband and wife. Together they are raising Drakes young daughter, Leah and Viola has just given birth to their son. It was a very difficult and life threatening delivery involving a C section and hemorrhaging. After spending quite some time in the hospital following the birth, Viola finally gets to go home with a private nurse and a nanny to help with the children. Viola is miserable, Drake has her staying in a guest bedroom instead of their room with him, the baby cries every time she gets near him and the private care staff are being very condescending to her. Viola is finally able to talk Drake into letting the nanny go and her best friend, Sigrid, come stay with them to help. Drake is working all the time, never home or spending time with her and the kids. Viola is feeling very abandoned and starts to suspect that Drake is having an affair with Sigrid. Viola's emotions are all over the place and she can't seem to stop crying all the time. Drake and Sigrid throw a tea party/baby shower for Viola and everything seems ok, getting out appears to be helping her to feel better but then outside the tea house a woman approaches her that Viola suspects is her mother, who abandoned her as a baby. This is so upsetting to Viola that she has a moderate breakdown, wandering off by herself, getting lost and confused. When Drake finds her, he lets her know how worried he is about her. He's scared that he is losing her. He doesn't understand what is going on with her. Drakes feeling severely jerked around by Viola and her moods and he has no idea what he can do to help so he just buries himself in work. They have a lot of work ahead of them if they are going to make it through this very difficult time.
Very good story about learning how to talk things out when you are not sure what is going on , but it also shows what some women go through after they give birth. This was a very emotional story to read. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
From start to finish, Emilia Beaumont deals with some pretty triggering and difficult topics so readers please bear in mind this is not your typical step-brother romance but boy is it worth reading every last page. Emilia writes this story from Viola's POV and every moment is so sensitively written that my hat goes off to her for not only tackling such difficult and often unwritten topics but for also allowing us as readers to see from Viola's POV and how the suffering she goes through really manages to take grips of this character.
Drake is the typically lost father unsure why the love of his life has suddenly changed in what should be one of the happiest times of their lives and Viola is in such a grips of depression and anxiety that she simply can't see that the thoughts and feeling she is having aren't typical for her! This makes for such a sad and at times desperate story but once the puzzle pieces start to fall into place it makes this very true to life story pick up and become happier one more!
This book is a definite must on the TBR list and one I would highly recommend. As a reader, just simply be aware this book can be triggering but in actual fact, it's worth every moment of angst for the lovely ending Emilia has finished with. Bravo Emilia on tackling such sensitive issues in such an unusual relationship.....it's nice to see not all HEA have no further bumps in the road! Well worth the read!

Thanks to Emilia Beaumont for writing this book. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, because it deserves it. In this book, Viola has a really bad time after giving birth, where she almost died, and Drake's behavior during this time certainly did not help. Postpartum depression is more common than people think. It is very real. The author did such a wonderful job with this. Also, I was glad to see the emphasis in this book was not on them being step siblings, but on their love and overcoming the problems in their family. It is not often that it is a good thing for an ex to come back in the picture, but it is a good thing that she did in this case. Lastly, I absolutely loved the ending. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy, and I put it as one of the best books I have read.
This is a book that hits on some great subjects that are sometimes taboo. Depression and killing yourself. I have to say that I have personally experienced both of these emotions and it's never easy and you always need people to be there on your side that understands what you are going through.
This book made me cry and I also had other emotions while I was reading this book. I went through all the emotions that Viola was going through in this book. I wanted so much to beat the crap out of Drake at times. I know men don't understand it and experience things differently than women do. Viola's mother needs to never be allowed in her life again. She should've got help herself.
The author did a great job writing this book. I hate to say that I didn't read the original one. I will have to go and get that book so that I can read it and see how these two got together. I know that had to be one hot read. I can't wait to read more by this author.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC from the author.
This was a great story, even through all the heartache and tears. It's so hard to imagine so many women going through what Viola went through. The fear and depression is very real and this book portrays it completely. The story was well written and you can feel the hurt and confusion coming from each of the characters, even though it wasn't in their point of view, you can imagine how they felt just by how they reacted. I loved reading this book and I'm now going to go back and reread the whole set in order. Thank you for sharing.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I enjoyed the continuation of Drake & Viola's story. This was a really good series. And at times an emotional story.
This was a good read for me. The story is fast paced with lots of drama and emotion. I loved the chemistry between the characters as well. Entertaining and emotional read.
This story is not a run of the mill step brother romance. The author dealt with some very sensitive subjects and did extremely well. I didn't know what to expect but I found it very moving.
Very well written and a must read. A issue that many women face and is swept under the rug many times. It was a book that was hard to put down. It was so true to life and fun, exciting to read. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This book is so heartbreaking and emotional. It takes you through the turmoil and uncertainty of a mom healing from a rough childbirth and dealing with postpartum, with a husband who works too much. There's a distance between them. I cried, it really got to me. Not a light hearted read, but gripping and very good. I received an arc of this.
Viola is going through an extremely rough time. She finally gives birth to her and Drake's son, but there is a ton of drama and angst, both before and after the birth. Postpartum depression is very real, and is often downplayed, but Emilia Beaumont does a great job portraying Viola's emotions and the way people around her respond. I felt Vi's pain and suffering right along with her. Well written and I loved this book. Drake also had his fair share of issues, which were also integrated into the story well. Enjoyed their story even as my heart broke for their disconnect. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
