In terms of content, this book was really good. It chronicled the lives and legacies of many relatively unknown, underrated figures from history (and some in the modern age as well), and I learned a lot from it. I would've given it 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4, if it did not have so many grammatical and spelling errors.
Seriously. I internally facepalmed SO MANY TIMES while reading this book, and I couldn't help but mark it up with my pencil while reading it because I just wanted to fix those mistakes so badly. One particular gaffe that stuck out to me was when one chapter talked about September 11, 2001 and said it was 2011 instead of 2001. Did this book even have an editor??
Anyway, the errors made the book seem very unprofessional, and they irritated me so much that I'm dropping my rating down to 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3.
A collection of stories about some great heroes of history (some more well known than others). A few of the stories deeply impacted me (Zig Ziglar, Brian Birdwell, King David) but each story is so different that there's something for everyone. Reading every story makes one thing clear - liberty is a God given right and worth devoting your life to defending.
This book has so many great stories that many people do not know about legends of Liberty in our nation. it’s a great book to read aloud and I think people of all ages would enjoy the content of this book. It’s a great place to get started and restoring a love of the nation that has been a light to so many people even with all its flaws.
