This is entire story review, (all 11 collections of 33 books).
Ah finally it's over. This entire story is 12 hours too long. (I listened to audiobook version) This story is nothing but one orgy after another, half of them are so alike that if you interchange their positions in the story, no one will notice it at all.
Apart from that, the story is fine. If you let go of 60% sex scenes (all of them redundant), the plot moves much faster. And it's well written. Had Reed James controlled the amount of sex scenes, I could have nJoyed the story much more.
You'd say it's an erotica and sex scenes are rather necessary part. Well, that is true, but that doesn't mean it can not get repeatative and boring, and in case of this story, it does. I literally skipped few of them.
About the characters, the protagonist Kyle's character is too boring. It doesn't have a character arch. He's just a stud who was virgin yesterday and had more girls in next two days than fingers on his hands. All his "wives" have good character arches, and also few of his concubines. But not Kyle. He's just a guy, who finds a Ginnie, is married to her by simply freeing her from the lamp. That ginnie gives him all the powers, such as the sexual stamina, without which he literally is useless. He needs to be saved by the females so often that I started to believe that the Reed James has deliberately portrayed him such a weak character. Afterall Kyle says it himself, "He's just a man, who is supported by everyone who loves him." That really sums it up.
All other female protagonist, and even antagonist have strong characters and a great arches. I specially liked Christy.
I sincerely wish this entire story was half as long, I would have nJoyed it much more. Some of the earlier scenes are great, all the action is well narrated and great. Use of sex as fight is awesome. I found it unnatural, and unbelievable how the women start to use the words like "wife" or "Concubine" or "master" etc, afterall they are just 18 and half a decade from being prepared to be spouces mentally.
About the narration, although the narrator has done voice modulation good enough, you still can not tell difference between voices of few concubines, and sometimes Aaliyah's and Chirsty's voices sound the same. But the biggest problem is the non conversational narration, it's way too drab. As if the narrator herself was bored narrating. :) The editor has missed to edit out some of the bad takes too.
All n all, it's a good but to-long-to-become-boring erotica. You are recommended to read it, but if you miss it, it's not a big loss.
