Max Axiom - The Dynamic World of Drones Stem adventures - by Nikole Brooks Bethea
Illustrations by Pixel Pop Studios.

The Max Axiom is a series of science comic graphic novels that are presented in such a way as to draw the attention and capture the minds of young reads to what ordinarily would be a complex subject to convey and understand. The Max Axiom science series makes learning about science fun and interesting.
This particular issue "The Dynamic World of Drones Stem Adventure" is geared toward High Schools students however this topic appeals to a much broader group of readers. I definitely enjoyed reading about Drones. Max Axiom discusses all the different variations of drones and their many functions and the government rules and policies concerning their specs and use. There are drones which are smaller than the palm of your hand and can be launched from your hand. On the contrary, there are drones that are over 32 thousand pounds with a wingspan of 32 feet which our government uses for reconnaissance missions, these drones can even fire missiles.
Drones are quite handy in helping us in many areas of human life. For example, we have drones which can deposit ions into the clouds so we can get rain, they help in agriculture, firefighting, bridge and construction inspection, for general and specialized photography and the video capture and broadcast of sporting events. Drones are of high interest to high schools students and other age groups. In this issue, the technicalities of drone usage have been broken down at an easy to read level so it is very interesting and understandable. The illustrations are definitely colorful and graphically expressive which helps the reader to grasp the technicalities of this topic.
