Though this book offers no help in locating constellations in the sky, it is one of my favorites for studying the concept of constellations, specifically at a 3rd-5th grade level. It is visually appealing, well organized, and appropriately written for most upper elementary and lower middle school students. It is filled with astronomy facts and vocabulary, and though some mythology is included, it does not provide the details that make other constellation books unsuitable for many young readers. It is also a chapter book, making it an easy read over the course of a week, and nice little introduction for multiple lessons within a unit study.
