1943. The Second Great War rages on, threatening to tear the world apart. Himmler’s SS Paranormal Division is scouring the globe in search of magikal artifacts and preternatural operatives to add to Hitler’s growing supernatural forces. If he isn’t stopped, he will soon have an army of vampires at his disposal, creatures that will stop at nothing to see the world bathed in blood and darkness. It is in this terrifying world that Raven Storm finds herself after her fight with the Harlequin in present day Chicago. Cut off from her friends and family, Raven joins forces with Mack Mason to investigate the murder of an antiques dealer in Old Town, an innocent who left the words Black Eon behind in his own blood. The mystery deepens when more bodies begin appearing around town, the burned and bloodless corpses stuck inside concrete and brick as if left there by the hand of God. What is Black Eon? And how do they stop it before it kills again? Stormfront. Time is a Killer.
Skye Knizley is the USA Today bestselling author of the Storm Chronicles series, an urban fantasy tale that mixes mystery, magic and horror, Midnight Roads, her homage to road movies with a dash of mystery and horror and the Shadowlands series of modern adventure/mysteries. All of her books feature strong female leads who can hold their own the men and then some, witticisms and of course Skye’s trademark snark.
Skye lives in the middle of nowhere, the small town life appeals to her and is conducive to writing. When she isn’t writing Skye can be found camping, motorcycling and hiking with her psychotic Siberian husky.
Skye is also a proud gamer girl and an avid fan of roleplaying games. She currently participates in a weekly game held at a local gaming store (stop in and say ‘hi!’) and is the writer and game-master of a private Fantasy Flight Star Wars game held once a month.
4.5 Stars. Best one of the series so far. It was like Indiana Jones meets The Rocketeer but with vamps and werewolves. Raven is stuck in the 1940’s and is shocked to be doing battle with Nazis on American soil. Get ready for an action packed ride from start to finish. This series has really grown from the first few books and I’m going to miss it when I finish. This is currently available on Kindle Unlimited.
Having read everything that Skye has written I didn't think I could be surprised. Alas you have done it to me again. I loved this book. The byplay between Raven and her dad was amazing. I also loved the little things like meeting Rupert's grandfather. The back and forth about the whole mystery was amazing. The two competing Nazi teams was a great idea. Bringing Arthurian legend into the story with The Lady, Excalibur, and Morgana I felt was a nice twist. Now the ending. You had me in tears. I'm sooooo looking forward to the next book. Another great book.
I was dying, waiting for this. I'd come to love Raven and her world. But this was so very worth the agony of waiting. It is an amazing finish and I am on pins and needles already for the next. Loved it

This series must be read in order. The first book is Stormrise Special Edition. The second book is Stormrage. The third book is Stormwind. The fourth book is Shadowstorm. The fifth book is Raven. The sixth book is Storm. The seventh book is Aspen (Occurs chronologically between Stormrage and Stormwind for the most part). The eighth book is Night Raven. This is the ninth book. I can't wait to read Deadly Storm!
Raven has not been having the best day. Fighting the Harlequin and falling through a mirror are so not her idea of a good time! At least she is not stuck in his Shadow World still. The mirror she fell through was destroyed so how did she just fall through that exact same mirror again? The Shadow World is gone ... But where is she now?! Wherever it is, it sure isn't home! It doesn't even smell right! What could possibly have been on the other side of that Shadow World? She definitely can't go back through the mirror, as it shattered, again. Without some kind of help how will she survive her wounds and get back home from wherever she is? Has she lost everyone and everything that she has ever loved because of her obsessive sense of duty? It just can't end like this, can it?
This was a really amazing addition to the series. I couldn't put it down and stayed up hours past my bedtime to finish it! I can't wait for the next one.
