Ever since I landed in Alaska I can't get comfortable. The entire state reeks of testosterone. It's not doing me and my fantasy life any favors but it's Rogue that finally put me over the top. My pilot. The man exudes masculinity. He is the epitome of rugged, the poster child for wild, Alaskan man.
Rogue:
Melissa lands in my life full of the kind of stories that could fill up the silence of a lonely Alaskan winter and keep a man company while those sweet curves of hers keep him warm but filling my place with a woman's things has never been part of my plan.
So why am I changing the route to make sure I'm the only bush pilot she'll be seeing up at that cabin this summer?
Rocklyn prefers her romance reads to be short, cute, and dirty; low drama and a little over-the-top: extra points for growly, alpha heroes with beards.
Originally from the farms and ranches of Central California, Rocklyn grew up in the lap of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Those small towns will always be home, but Rocklyn was born to roam.
These days she spends her days exploring America's back roads in her camper trailer, writing steamy happily-ever-afters while looking for internet.
Follow Rocklyn here, on Amazon, find her on social media, or drop by the website (rocklynwrites dot net) and keep in touch when you join the (mostly) weekly newsletter and never miss updates on what's in the works-- and what's working and not in a life full of adventure and shenanigans.
*** And what do I read? Total smut, the kind with over-the-top chemistry that gets characters to lose their minds and their clothes as soon as possible-- they can work out the kinks on the way to happily ever after later!
Melissa hasn't had a home since she lost her job and broke up with her boyfriend. She packed her bags, visited some friends sleeping on couches and spare rooms while she started a Travel Blog. It was originally intended to keep friends and family up-to-date on her wonderings, until she started getting followers. Then a travel blog asked her to start writing for them and it paid for her trips.
Now she's on her way to northern Alaska for the summer. She's intending to stay in a secluded cabin alone and writer about her experience. But the bush pilot who is flying her to her destinations, Rogue Emery Masters, is the kind of alpha man she reads about in her books and wouldn't mind spending more time with.
Though Melissa stays alone, Rogue wants to know more about this woman and swaps routes in order to bring her supplies every couple of weeks during her stay. Those visits soon turn into the need to get into each others pants. Unfortunately, a series of hilarious and cock-blocking events keep them from getting what they want from each other.
This also gives them time to sort of get know each other and pine for each other.
This was a really funny and sweet story. I found most of what happened so funny, I was in tears. The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars it cause it was so funny and then kinda got really serious. I wanted more funny.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading "Wood" next.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved this story! Melissa is a travel blog writer and is spending the summer in Alaska. This is where she meets Rogue, the bush pilot. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. When these two finally get together that is when the laughs come in. Let's just say the sexual tension between these two if more hilarious than anything. If you are looking for a fun, sexy, read then this is definitely worth the time to read.

DNF. I did not care for either character. I was unable to connect.
The heroine seemed "hungry" and craving. The hero knew that the heroine would give it up if he gave it any effort. This would have been a good story, but I think that I knew TOO much of what each character was thinking. Maybe I would have enjoyed it if it was just one POV. There was no intensity. No nothing.
This may work for you, but it did not work for me. Reading is subjective.
I'm so a big fan of all of Rocklyn Ryders books. This is another great story. Strong h, looking for what will make her happy. H is so sweet (and nervous) when he realizes he's falling in love. Trust me- you won't want to stop reading till the end.
Una historia divertida. Un amor al que le cuesta concretar. Situaciones graciosas y uno termina teniendo sintiendo lastima por el pobre muchacho por todas las contrariedades que le suceden. Lo recomiendo.
Rogue Masters is not shocked to see another city girl trying to have an adventure in Alaska; however, this woman strikes him as different than the usual tourists he sees. Rogue is a bush pilot and owns a small Cub Plane. He doesn't ever really carry passengers, but his employee had a family emergency, so one of his stops will be to pick up Melissa.
Melissa has a travel blog for single women. Her blog has caught the attention of a travel website company, which is why she is in Alaska. She will be spending the summer in a small isolated cabin in Wolf Ridge and will be writing about her experience.
After Rogue drops Melissa off at the cabin and a bit of an embarrassing find in her luggage, she feels sad when she realizes she probably won't see Rogue again. Little does she know that it will not be the last time she sees him.
This was a hot, sweet, and no angst read. The inner monologue of Rogue and Melissa was funny and sometimes over the top as they spend alot of time thinking about each other. Rogue and Melissa are definitely into each other and after a few "interruptions" they are finally able to spend time with each other.
With a great job offer and the deep feelings she has developed for Rogue, decisions need to be made. Rogue is happy with his life as a bush pilot and his home is Alaska, but can he let Melissa go?
rogue: a dishonest or unprincipled man Happy to say our Hero does not live up to this name
I love, love, love, loved this book and definitely Rogue! This book was amazing, different from Rocklyn Ryder's Arranged Marriage series but just as good if not better. I loved Rogue and Melissa, the chemistry and attraction between the two was off the charts. I loved the anticipation up to the first time they made love so many obstacles and interruptions keeping the two apart, lol. This book was funny, sexy, light and all consuming. Once I started I couldn't stop! I voluntarily read an arc copy for an honest review!
OH!!!! give me a bush pilot called Rogue. Amazing read that you won't put down with scorching chemistry, fantastic characters and a well paced plot. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This book is not the normal writing style i got used to of Rocklyn Ryder, BUT i absolutely loved it! This is a funny, sweet & loving story about Melissa, adventure writer & Rogue, a hot alpha Alaskan Bush pilot. Melissa get transported to her new house on her 1st day in Alaska via plane to write about the life on the outer limits of traditional society & that's where she meets Rogue, the hot bush pilot, who makes runs to nearby places to delivers supplies to those living on the outskirts of Alaska. Rogue's mother is forever hounding him to get a girlfriend & settle down, but he's never felt the need for a woman in his life until he meets Melissa & boy does the sparks fly! sparks fly. Rogue is a pilot who makes runs to different “towns” and delivers supplies for people who live on the outskirts of Alaska. But Rogue's got a problem, the runs only happens every few week & decides to take over another pilot's run to ensure he spends more time with Melissa. What will happen once Melissa must return home? Will Rogue follow her or will she stay in Alaska with him? Like i said, this is a sweet & funny romance story & very enjoyable. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I loved this book it was a page turner from the beginning to end you just didn’t want to put it down. Melissa’s company sent her to Alaska high country to spend 3 months in the wilderness by herself to write a blog. Every two weeks a very sexy bush air pilot, Rogue would fly to the cabin where Melissa was staying. From the very first time he saw her he wanted her in his bed riding his cock. As the end of the 3 months, her company wants her to fly out to send the winter months in New Zealand where it would be summer time. Does Rogue convince Melissa to stay in Alaska with him and have his babies or does she continue with her dream. Is it really her dream job to go spending all this time alone writing a blog? This short story will not disappoint you and want you to finish before going to sleep, but be prepared to have very wet panties and want to take cold showers. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Give me a story that makes me laugh and I'll be a fan for life. The story starts out like a lesson in Murphy's Law asking "how much sexual tension can two people be under and still stay sane?" A bit of a spoiler warning, apparently Melissa and Rogue can withstand quite a lot. All the ways their encounters go sideways are laugh-out-loud funny, and I kept reading to see what it would take to finally get them together. Mel's a strong, independent woman who's been looking out for herself for quite a while so she's got a pretty tough shell to break through. And Rogue is the perfect kind of alpha hero - one so supremely confident in himself that when he recognizes something he wants he goes after it, even if that means embracing all the girly hearts and flowers stuff. I loved watching these two come together to find their happily-ever-after. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book** Melissa is a travel blogger sent to the wilderness of Alaska to live on her own in the bush for the summer. The only way to her cabin is by plane. Rogue is the bush pilot that is taking Melissa to her cabin. With a name like Rogue, you know he is super hot and all man. Their connection is instantaneous and throw in the smutty books she has on her phone to keep her company and you have the basis for this very steamy and sexy book. There are many funny parts, especially all of the times they get together to try and work out their sexual tension only to have other factors get in the way and both are left very hot and bothered. This is a departure for Rocklyn as we have come to know her for her Raven Swann Matchmaker series but this book was wonderful. I totally recommend it.
Loved this new book from Rocklyn Ryder!! Rogue is a Bush pilot in Alaska who is tasked with giving Melissa a ride to a secluded camp. They have instant chemistry, but she thinks he's a womanizer so she ignores her feelings as best she can. She is to stay the summer alone writing for a blog, but Rogue thinks she is too "city girl" and he worries she won't be ok. He changes his schedule so he can drop in on her every few weeks for her deliveries. Despite their attraction, the universe conspires against them at each attempt to be more. Great story, great build up of attraction to each other. Loved Rogue!! Don't miss this one! Can't wait for more from Rocklyn. I voluntarily received an ARC for an honest review.
Melissa is searching for something and maybe the summer in this little cabin will help her find it. When Rogue get the assignment to take the writer to the cabin he figured city girl but when he gets a look at her he doesn't care. Mel is no wilting flower she isn't tough or anything but she can try to hold her own but Rogues interest in her is not too much about her survival but his. When they begin spending time together every time they have a chance to do anything something happens and it stops. I just love how they keep trying to get together and someone or something stops them every time. Will they both realize this is what they have been searching for is each other
A fun, funny, fast paced and steamy love story. Rogue Emery Masters is a smoken hot, and he knows it, cocky, Alaskan bush pilot. Mel is a travel blogger. She was offered an assignment to spend the summer in a remote Alaskan cabin and blog about her adventures. Rogue and Mel have an instant attraction. She isn't buying what he is selling. Rogue can't get her off his mind. A summer fling wouldn't be so bad. Just when Mel gives in, fate decides to become a cock blocker. Loved Rogue and Mel. His proposed was caveman sweet and so was the epilogue.
3 & 1/2 stars rounded up. My biggest gripe, quite a bit of editing/proof reading issues for a published book. That really hurt the star rating more than anything else. The story flowed well, & I liked the characters. The story pulled me in right away. I was cheering for the H/h to get their HEA. The love part of the story seemed a bit of a stretch (really more chemistry than love), but for entertainment value was real good. The sex scenes were good, but the near misses for sexual encounters were hilarious! Enjoyed the humor thru the whole book. Definitely worth reading.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
This book was a sweet but sexy read. I loved the chemistry between Melissa and Rogue. Melissa was a very strong woman who could take care of herself and had a past she was trying to work thru. Rogue was sexy as sin and when he meant Melissa he knew she was his future. It was a hot read. I would recommend this book. It is definitely 5 stars.
Bush: A Wild Romance is a light but oh so steamy romance between Melissa, a travel blogger, who sets out on an expedition to the wilds of Alaska and Rogue, the bush pilot who drops her off at a remote cabin in the middle of nowhere. Loved the foreplay between these two and there were certainly some laugh out loud moments. I had no clue going in what to expect other the blurb sounded interesting. Very enjoyable story that I finished in no time.
Yum yum yum! I loved this story. A totally yummy dance between Rogue & Melisa and their getting to know you stage. So sexy the lead and follow that happened. Perfectly written story that made each scene flow easily into the next. Really is my newest favorite book. And also book boyfriend :) perfect all the way through
Melissa is a travel writer off to spend a summer in an isolated cabin in Northern Alaska. Rogue is her hot pilot for the trip there. Their romance is steamier than I ever pictured an Alaskan summer, but finding their happily ever after together has quite a few pockets of turbulence? Hang on for the ride and enjoy.
This is a cute slow to fulfillment story. It’s about a writer staying in an isolated cabin in Alaska who is more than a little attracted to the bush pilot supplying her with goods. It’s a little instant love -lust and a little right time right place to fall in love. Definite HEA. No cheating. No violence (except some raccoons beat up a cell phone). It’s cute.
I really like Rocklyn Rider humor the a way she was talking to me (the reader) it was funny and truthful. Always hoping to find our own "Rogue". Story was funny, sexy and romantic it flow smoothly. Totally recommended.
Join Mel as she unplugs and finds (insta) love that builds throughout the book! Rogue is a sexy, over the top hero who treats his heroine just right. I love this standalone book and look forward to reading more like this from Rocklyn Ryder.
I only got about 30% through this book and couldn't keep going. Nothing but sex talk. Where's the story? Romance? Anything else but sex? No imagination. I'll never know if it gets better. I couldn't keep reading.
