Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, and I'm a damn idiot.
That's what he does to me.
Ryder. Smith.
The first heartbreak is always the hardest to heal
And those wounds get ripped right back open,
When he walks back into my life.
Seven years,
It took seven long and grueling years,
To get that cocky, leather-wearing bastard out of my mind.
I thought I'd never get over him, never fix what he broke,
And now he's back,
Every sexy inch of him,
The difference is now I'm taking charge.
This time he'll be the fool.

Another enjoyable read in this MC series.Megan and Ryder meet again after so many years apart. She's now an accountant a he is now part of the DeathStalkers MC yet their feelings for one another are still there yet neither wan't to own up to them just yet.

As always we read about an amazing cast of characters that created yet another enticing and fun read for us.Romance, love, bad boys, humor, some twists and turns and some major secrets coming to life all wrapped up into one read.My kind of story.

Megan was my favorite character in this story. I found her to be kind ,caring, strongly independent, feisty, strong willed,a surviver, and someone who loves with her whole heart.Megan's heartache definitely tugs on the emotions of the reader you feel all the things she feels her heartbreak, how she was betrayed, sadness all the things that she never really got past. All because she thought Ryder betrayed her and their love.Yet feeling all these things she still loves him and always will.I loved the chemistry that she and Ryder created it made for many hot and sexy sex scenes.

I loved Ryder as well found him to be caring and kind, funny, cocky, a dirty talker, possessive and down right sexy as hell as well as love able.Just loved him.I loved that he was persistent when it came to Megan wanting to get back what they lost so long ago.I loved how he just made me laugh with his antics in pursing Megan.I found myself smiling more than once.

I am glad that chance brought this couple back together for a second chance at love. This couples road to happiness this time around did not happen easily they are going to learn some hard truths about one another along with dealing with all the lies and deceit of their pasts and their present .I was glad to be along for the ride to see if love really conquers all?

I love when you can connect with the characters that you read about and you love them from the get go of getting to know them.I was able to do that with this couple and I love that as it has you rooting for a happily ever after for the amazing couple you are reading about.

Another fast paced enticing read with intrigue love and romance as well as fun characters.Could not put it down and read it cover to cover in one siting.Loved it !Recommended read to all.

On a personal note..

As much as I loved yet another story by Alexis I found this story to be really tame compared to the others books it this series. The past books in this series for me touched my heart as they were truly heart wrenching reads that were filled with so much pain and sorrow that you could not help but be choked up and want to cry. This time around the author chose to make the heroine strong and independent and although I love characters like that as well I missed all the darkness that touched all the previous characters like Lucy,Nikki,Izzy,Tracie,Jaz, as I found them to be strong heroines as well to survive the evil that was dealt to each and every one of them.

My Thoughts:
This is the first time I have read this author and it won’t be the last. I love MC romances and this author did a good job of having this book as part of a series, but reads well as a standalone! I didn’t feel like I missed any key points and there weren’t any gaps or need to clutter the story with fill-ins.

This was a really fast paced read and it jumped right to it. There is some angst and twists and turns I didn’t see coming, wow talk about out of the blue. How the story unfolds is unbelievably sad in how wrongly these two star-crossed lovers were duped. The cruel hand they were dealt made my chest burn. These two were destined and their chemistry is still fierce. I don't want to give anything away, as you need to read and experience it for yourself.

If you like MC romance, give this book and series a try!

A second chance love story

This one was a little more low key than the others. There was some "action" but it was over with quickly. Megan and Tracker knew each other in the past and both have differing opinions on what happened then. When they meet again, they both quickly realize the spark is still there....but can they go there again? I absolutely loved a secondary character - Chrissy and just realized she is in the next book!

Josie's Review 4.5 stars

This is another magnificent and enthralling addition to the Deathstalkers MC series. This author has a talent for bringing the characters and story to life. I’ve read several books by her and I’m glued to the pages every time. I’m a goner for MC reads but this one had something that I’ve come to crave, a second chance romance. I wasn’t sure how things would play out but I knew the author would make me fall in love and that she did.

Ryker and Megan story brought me to my knees, had me shedding tears, clutching my heart and panting like a female wolf in heat. We met Seth in the last book and I’ve been anxious to get his story. After his old club went down, he and some other brothers were invited to patch over to the Deathstalkers MC. He’s excited and up for the challenge except for going back to the same town where the girl that broke his heart lives. Megan is a great female character, she’s stronger but also trying to heal from Rider’s heartbreak.

Ryker and Megan still have an intense chemistry. We get to see their history as we go from past to present tense. Ryker’s character is a bad ass. He plays the part well but when we get to see his inner struggles and see how much Megan means to him we really see another side to him. I fell for him. He was an open book, hurt from their past but was determined to never live a life without Megan again. I really love how this author doesn’t make things easy for the couple. Ryker and Megan have to work on their future as a couple. I really loved seeing Megan comes into her own in this book. It’s hard for her to trust and her insecurities come to surface, however, her time with Ryker and the other old ladies in the club give her the boost she needs.

Ryker and Megan’s relationship felt real. I really loved how the author didn’t rush their reunion. We got to see how they struggled to make sense of their past while trying to work towards their future. There was a twist I never saw coming and once again Megan and Ryder face an uncertain future. I absolutely loved this story. I’m certain this isn’t the end to this series as there are new characters introduced. I can’t wait to see where Alexis takes this story next.

This is the 6th book to be released in the Deathstalker series. Of course each can be read as a standalone but I suggest for better understanding of the characters you try to back track if this is your first click of this series. There is a bound set of several of the first few releases available!

Tracker and Megan have a past and its not a pretty one. It didn't end well and coming back to town has all emotions coming back to the surface. Coming back home wasn't his choice but his MC was done. Joining the Deathstalkers was his next move. Being back means a new beginning and a past. Which one wins out is the problem. Finding out what actually happened all those years ago is first on the list.

Megan cannot believe Ryder is back. He broke her when he left but the man standing in front of her sees the situation in a different light. Things were complicated -- Megan has no time for games with Tracker or Ryder whatever his name is. She is finally back on her feet and putting her head back together after all those years. Being put in charge of this account was not on the list of to dos and certainly not running into the man who crushed her seven years ago. Maybe this time he will be the one to suffer.

Misunderstandings, lost time and broken hearts plague this story. It it one for the Kleenex file. Bring them along. I liked the fact that we got down to business and dove right into what the issues were and why they were the way they were. The characters were well written and believable which is a good thing on my end. I don't like the mousey female lead or the over and over banter back and forth.

A great addition to this series and another must have to add to the collection. This is one for the beach. Its tempo is light and not so in depth that you have to read pages over and over again. I love that in a book to carry with me on a spring day by the water.

Thank you for the ARC and the chance to read. Love this one. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Sever is the sixth book in the Deathstalkers MC series but each can be read as a standalone.

Tracker (Ryder) has recently joined the Deathstalkers from a now defunct MC after it was run to nothing more than a drugs run by its pres. Moving to the Deathstalkers home turf also brings Tracker back to his home town. After leaving nearly a decade ago he finds himself hoping he will bump into Megan, his one true love and finally find out why she did what she did to him all those years ago.

Megan is finally on her feet and making good progress in her career in accountancy. When her boss puts her in charge of the MC account she is shocked to come face to face with Ryder again and find he is now a brother of the Deathstalkers. She still cannot forgive him for what he did to her when he left town, so to say there is a little tension in the air when these two meet up again is putting it mildly.

Tracker is a new character to the series and has not been in any of the previous books so perfect to read as a standalone. I had not read the previous three books and found it easy to pick up on what I had not read in between.

This was a simple, relatively short but sexy read. There were no hidden agendas and it wasn’t full of overly done angst. The mix up of their lost connection was quickly resolved and the reason for the misunderstanding which gave them free reign to pick up where they had left off. There was a big timeline gap that happened off page which I would have preferred was delved into as this was the two solidifying their connection again. I did think the curveball that happens near the end was a tad unbelievable and again quickly resolved.

Overall though a quick enjoyable mild MC read that needed just a bit more depth for my personal reading but still a four star read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Sever is the sixth book in Alexis Noelle's Deathstalkers MC series. You do not have to have read the other books in the series to read Sever. You are however missing one great series that revolves around the members of the MC with each person getting a different book.

Ryder Smith was Megan's first heartbreak. The one she never got over in all the years since she has seen him. Those old wounds get ripped right back open the day they run into each other. He's back in her life and there is no way she is letting him back into her heart after seven years. He may have fooled me once but this time I am in charge and he is going to be the fool.

I have loved each and every book in this series. Sever is no exception. I loved ever single second I got to spend with Tracker and Megan. Tracker is brought into the Deathstalers when the club he belonged to was destroyed by them. He didn't really have a choice about joining and is returning to a town he swore he would never got back to for fear of running into Megan. She destroyed him. Crushed his heart and threw him away like he was nothing. Sure they were kids but they loved each other and were headed to a good life together. Now Megan is an accountant and fate has thrown these two together due to club business. Each has their own version of what happened back when hearts and lives were shattered. Can they get to the truth? Will they ever open up to each other and rekindle what they once had? I loved getting the answers to all these questions. There are also some heart pounding moments I never ever saw coming that had me on the edge of my seat while reading.

Once again Alexis Noelle has written a book I absolutely loved. I so can not wait for more of this series. She never ever fails to write a book I don't love. If you've never read an Alexis Noelle book or just have not read the Deathstalkers series your really missing out.

Okay so this was good only because no disgusting nor disturbing shit happened. No woman got raped, beat up, tortured..etc. I breathed more easily not having to read that shit this time around. Thing is that while all that darkness churns my stomach, at least something happened in the other books.

This book was just plain boring. Tracker and Megan were two adults acting like children. They were both petty and played to many games, which I fucking hate when reading about adults. They were the epitome of everything I detest about grown folks making jackasses out of themselves.

I liked this club because they are loyal to the ones they love, plus their form of revenge on those who hurt their women was fucking outrageous and those vile men deserved every bit of hurt the brothers inflicted on them. In this book, I feel they took this man's life for absolutely no reason. He never hurt Megan, the worst he did was pull a gun on her, what he did to her parents didn't count as hurting her because she cut them out of her life years before, they were shit parents. Again, he never hurt Megan, he was a small child trapped inside a man's body who was hurt over what he perceived was a betrayal by Megan. I honestly don't think he would have hurt her, his goal was to hurt her parents, which he accomplished.

What the club did to him was totally unnecessary, he didn't deserve it. For Megan to accept it just so she wouldn't lose her piece of ass was wrong. She knew what they did was wrong but decided to accept it and that just made me lose all respect for her and the club. Needless to say, I will not be reading the other books in this series when they come out because I feel this club doesn't respect life, to torture and kill someone who didn't hurt one hair on Megan's head was probably more disgusting than the other shit that's happened in this series..

The author really screwed the pooch with this one!

Megan has never gotten over the love of her life leaving her, and no matter how much she has tried to move on, she still can't forget him. Ryder, aka Tracker, has come back to his home town as a new member of the Deathstalkers MC, and he's afraid he will see the girl that broke his heart. And the first assignment has brought him face to face with Megan, which has him quickly realizing that he never got over her. For seven years they have been apart, and Ryder has decided she's not going to get away again, but will Megan thaw out to even give him a chance? I'm going to start out with my favorite complaint for Alexis Noelle, so here goes, IT'S NOT LONG ENOUGH AND I NEED MORE MORE MORE! Her brilliant writing style, especially packing so much awesome in a short, has me ready for a treatment program every time I finish the last page. I'm fully addicted, and I cannot get enough! Between the panty destroying, SCORCHIN HOT sexy scene goodness, excitement, angsty second chance love, and f-bomb worthy twists, there's nothing in this story that I didn't love. So I have said this many times, and guess what? I'll say it again.......CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK! So please keep em coming Alexis Noelle, you sexy beast, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, love, suspense, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Corrupted (Deathstalkers MC #1)
Heinous (Deathstalkers MC #2)
Chaos (Deathstalkers MC #3)
Broken (Deathstalkers MC #4)
Mayhem (Deathstalkers MC #5)

This is Megan and Ryder(Tracker)’s story. Years ago, these two were a couple but hearts were broken. She has finally put that heartbreak behind her or has she. When he comes back to town she knows it is not behind her. She needs to work with him to get the promotion in her job that she always wanted. But feelings are still there. Can these two figure out the past and what exactly happen? Secrets and lies are exposed. But will it bring this couple back together or further apart? Can these two make it? Or will lies come between them again? Can they fight to have each other?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I loved Ryder (Tracker) & Megan.. !!!!

This book was so good. I loved every book in this series.

Ryder is back in town.. After his previous club was dismantled by the Deathstalkers and now they were given a choixe to join or be taken care of. But he left town for a reason and was hoping not to run into the one woman who broke him...

Megan has finally moved on from waiting for Ryder (Tracker) to come back for her. And now her life is finally coming together. However now he is back in her life and she has to deal with him

But can they find out what happened years ago and get back to where they were or is too late for them to find each other again

I love Love this series and if you haven't read the previous ones then you can still read this as a standalone.
Awesome!!!

This was a great story, I loved it. Ryder has returned to his old town and his MC has given him the job of dealing with the club accounts. He's happy to be given such an important task, it gives him a chance to prove his worth....and it also takes his mind of Megan, a woman he really doesn't want to bump into, a woman who broke his heart.
Megan is finally getting her life back on track, she's got a good job and she can forget about the time her life was torn apart by a man who left her with a broken heart.
Until fate rears it's ugly head and they meet again. Ryder is determined to discover the reasons for Megan's behaviour all those years ago and why, and what he finds out angers him more, Megan is equally surprised and angered to find out she had also been duped.
What do they do after they realize both of them had been wrong all this time, and what they had been told was untrue? This story is a must read, I highly recommend it!

If I had one wish right now it would be to make this book longer. For two reasons; One, I enjoyed it enough not to want it to end so quickly and two, with such a complex plot it just wasn’t given proper room for a fully satisfying conclusion.

I am very happy that the author for a second time in a row went against the patterns of the previous books, making the storyline a fresh breath of air. Yes, there were still some similar plot twists and themes to the previous books, but not so much in my face that it bothered me or became repetitive. I liked the take of a second chance romance with Meagan and Ryder having a rough start, both feeling betrayed by the other but still couldn’t help the attraction still sizzling between them. It really gave the book that perfect mix of drama, intrigue and suspense. The underlying theme of Sever made the book stand out in the series on its own and was even more strengthened by not being so involved in the MC club, but rather taking a outside point view of the club, if that makes any sense. It even gave some room for other characters that weren’t a part of or associated with the club in any way, like quirky Chrissy. I am sure she was an introduction to the next book in the series and having met her in Sever makes me much more excited to keep reading.

As good as I found the book, it annoys me a bit that it easily could have been even better if it actually had been given the chance to have a bigger depth. There were things mentioned briefly that the story could have dwelled deeper into to strengthen both characters, romance and plot. Sadly many of the things I was intrigued was dropped immediately. For example why was juvie Ryder’s only other option? What was his past? And the whole thing with using Alison to get Meagan jealous, why didn’t they ever mention or even talk about that? In general I feel like I got way too little context and information of their past history together. There was much we could have explored there, with her basically a servant getting bullied at school and him not helping out and acting pissed at the world. While I enjoyed the romance there was I didn’t really get to see how they went from hate to love in the past, only in the present.

The fact that I didn’t get the complexity that this sort of story needs made me not fully satisfied with the ending. There were a lot of things that wasn’t acknowledged or even talked about by the characters, which made me feel like everything wasn’t resolved at the end of the book. The most unsatisfying thing was the end to the bad guy in the story. Seeing as how their past were linked I would have liked to see some remorse at least, and at best seeing Meagan trying to save him and help him redeem himself. Not close her eyes and just look the other way with no guilt or problem. To me it also seemed a bit unbelievable that she would not recognize him to begin with, considering their history.

For me Sever land at 3.5 stars. However considering the drama and fresh perspective of the story I will bump it up to 4 stars, but that is just barely. I’m afraid of the books getting shorter and shorter the further I go with the series, especially since I already am seeing it happening. I do really hope that that is not the case though, and since I already like Chrissy in this book I can’t wait for her story in Havoc.

Megan and Ryder haven't seen each other for 7 yrs each thinking the other walked away. But they find out that wasn't so. Ryder aka Tracker is new to the Deathstalker MC and is given the task of getting the books in order along with an accounting firm. When he goes to the firm he finds Megan after all that has happened the both blame the other. They will have to work through what happened to get to the truth. This is defiantly my favorite of the series so far even with the grammar issues it is excellent!

[1.5 stars] soooo the heroine sort of got kidnapped again *roll eyes*. and megan's parents died way to easily, no conversation between timmy & them before he fired his gun, i mean what is the story that cause him to become like that? not much explanation.

also i feel that the author is not very consistent in her series, some book is long, more detailed, some is short & not much details.

I'm kind of disappointed this series had such potential, the author definitely has the talent to write something deep and meaningful unfortunately she cares more about quantity than quality. In these short stories the back stories have so much more depth and detail than the actual one where we are just rushed through the motions following the same script over and over again.

This book is not as fast-paced and as in depth as the others are. Megan who is a girl that Tracker cannot forget walks back into his I've unexpectedly. Seven years of pain and hurt come to the surface but they find out the truth eventually

Wow! I loved this story. From troubled teens driven apart to adults with broken hearts needing to be fixed, this is actually quite sweet and romantic. With a big twist as well to keep you reading, there is a small amount of violence but nothing to put you off. It is a book you can lose yourself in, trouble is you do that and before you know it you have finished it. Though it is full length and complete I would have loved more.

Megan and Tracker haven’t seen each other for years and then they meet at an accounting firm where she works cause he needs help with the books. From there is history…

I get that there is s reason in why they stopped talking and don’t get along.. but a reason as dumb as that.

It’s like you couldn’t think of another sad story for their background that’s hard for them to bear their soul again.

Literally they stopped talking because foster mom didn’t want her to leave and so “mom” took Megan’s phone and said rude things to Tracker… never saw each other again? Till now? Wow…

Boring.

I absolutely love Alexis Noelle's writing. This is the sixth book in the series and it just isn't slowing down. Tracker's club was destroyed by the Deathstalkers MC and he and others joined with the Deathstalkers to have a better MC life. He is excited for a new start with the club but he hates where their homebase is located. It is the town he grew up in and holds bad memories for him, especially the girl that crushed his heart.

Megan was the woman Ryder, aka Tracker, abandoned when he aged out of the foster care system. He promised he would come back for her and she waited but he never showed. She has moved on with her life, but when Ryder comes waltzing back into the accounting firm she works for all the old memories flood to the surface. When they finally sit down and discuss the past they both see there was a huge misunderstanding and all the years they spent hating each other were wasted. Will they be able to move past this misunderstanding and forgive each other?

I love this series! Once I received this book I devoured it in one sitting. This is a great sexy, quick read that packs a punch. You do not have to read the first 5 books but I would advise it so you know all the back history and relationships.

This is Tracker's aka Ryder's story. He is a new member of the Deathstalkers, he needs to prove his loyalty to his new club. When he takes his first mission on he never thought he would be reunited with the love of his life Megan.

I love Alexis's writing, her style is mesmerising keeping her readers completely hooked.

I love the new members of the Deathstalkers, a new blood infusion that really compliments the original members brilliantly.

I can't wait for the next book in the series. I cannot recommend this series enough, it's an definite Mc must read!!!

I have been eagerly awaiting this book in the series, I have loved all the others that Alexis Noelle has wrote.

This book centres around Ryder or to use his call name Tracker, he is one of the new guys who joined the Deathstalkers after his previous club went down in the last book, he is keen to settle into the MC but he not so keen to be back in a town that he left years ago, nor is he keen to run into the one girl who broke his heart.

Megan is that girl - though she believes that he left her and broke her heart! When the accountant firm that she works for takes on a new client the last person she was expecting it to be was Ryder. She needs to brush her heartache aside in order to work with him to get the job done and hopefully get the promotion she has longed for.

There is no denying that the chemistry is still there for both of them, but the past has hurt Megan enough to make her not want to go there with him again. That is until Ryder asks why SHE broke it off. Its then that Megan discovers what really happened all those year ago.

In true Noelle style there is a twist that I never saw coming that had Megan scared for her live and Ryder thinking he had lost her again.

Another brilliant 5 star read!

I devoured Sever in one sitting. Tracker ( Ryder) joins the club from another branch. Not really sure about coming back to a town he escaped years ago. Not wanting to run into the one girl he ever really loved.

Megan has moved on with her life. After surviving a difficult heartbreak she comes face to face with the one who broke her years ago. Now she has to work with him in order to keep her job and hopefully get the promotion that she desperately needs.

Determined to not take no for an answer Ryder wants to know why Megan ended things with him years ago. Only to find lies and deception hold the key. Great fast read. Loved the characters and their story.

I love Alexis Noelle books this has to be my favorite in the Deathstlkers series . Megan and Ryder have amazing off the charts chemistry this would be a second chance romance that I highly recommend , you do not have to read the first books of the series but I would recommend that you do you will better enjoy it plus the characters are so likable . Megan was a great heroine she is strong , independent , and funny while Ryder was super alpha possessive , funny , dirty talker who will do anything for the heroine . We get to see past characters that I love it's so awesome to see what they are doing . The stroyline had me hooked , the romance was at a perfect level they didn't rush it even though the hero wanted Megan he did anything that would prove he was the man for her . I can't wait to see what is to come .
