Update 2012: Received my degree in computer networking and devoting my full time and limited attention span to writing. Thanks to everyone who is making this dream a reality.
The entire 8 book series had brilliant/fun/exciting parts as well as depressing/painful/anguishing parts. Books 6,7 were pretty painful, but 8 came back with a mixture of things that I'd sum up as bittersweet.
Characters were reasonably well developed and their parts in the story were resolved, except for a few people left hanging in the end, like Ghost, raptor girl, and the vampire. I loved Tarth and his part in the tale.
Lots of interesting twists and characters, like 'the Kin', that might be fun to explore.
Continues the riveting tale of Azerick the sorcerer trying to save the world
A good read for young readers with an inventive and colorful tale. There are multiple plot paths involving separate characters that hold interest. There are multiple philosophical events throughout the series which are wonderful. A good page turner.
