This was a book I could not put down. It was my 3rd and last read from John Benton. I recently spotted these books on Pinterest, liked the book covers and bought 3 Kindle editions. I didn't know what I was in for with this series. Way outside my usual book parameters. These books deal with young criminals, committing real crimes, being drug addicted and selling their bodies to get more drugs. These girls lie cheat and steal. They don't self reflect or have a moral compass. A detailed story of their lifestyle is given and near the end of the book they are introduced to Jesus. It was hard for me to believe these girls would change so drastically from hearing about Jesus. A couple hugs from a Christian person was all it took to sell them on Jesus. I have learned this group home exists and apparently some people have changed their lives. Just saying it was hard for me to believe people so far gone would change in an instant because of a hug and a few kind words about Jesus. I am a Christian and don't find even the simplest challenges as easy just because I pray and believe in God.
