This contains a limited overview of prophets of long ago, focusing mainly on the life and prophecies of Nostradamus.
The author relies on a couple of other sources for interpretations of the prophecies, adding in a few possibilities of their own. There is a lot of conjecture about astrology and alchemy and what role those realms played in the prophecies, including, perhaps, the vague references that Nostradamus uses.
Definitely an entertaining read as my first exposure to the subject.
Prophecy is predictions based on sciences. It needs a very doctoral level scientists not just a regular persons faking themselves understanding the universe.
As a nerd of history and mysteries, this was quite fun to read. Parts were a bit tedious to get through due to lack of knowledge about things (i.e. 15th century French politics) but overall it was written well enough that anyone could enjoy it :)
