Some very good stuff in here, unfortunately not always easy to take in due to the way it is written. I know that the author likes to be careful with his use of words in order to be accurate in what he is communicating, but sometimes the language is just plain convoluted (eg. Using the word "powerful" as an adjective, alongside many others, to describe the word "power").

My other qualm is that for those not aware of/not in a church that is part of the reforming of the apostolic movement, some of the terminology (even just the word "apostolic" in this context) would be completely lost on them. The author makes some form of attempt to give context to this in the introduction, but not a very good one.

Despite all this though, there is some genuinely good stuff to be found in here and practically applied in terms of not only prayer, but attitude towards life as a Christian in general. Very well worth reading, but not a light read. It is, however, divided into lots of short chapters like a devotional, making it easy to digest over a long period of time.

Hope to finish this one soon. Really good insight into the church and meaning of biblical passages.
