Logan Langstead is lead guitarist for Australia’s hottest new rock band, Punch Sound. Living life to the full, he is seen as a risk taker and bad boy. Women are one of his biggest weaknesses, especially curvy blondes who aren’t afraid to be a little adventurous. When a petite brunette catches his eye at an art exhibition opening, he doesn’t believe she’s really his type, but still he pursues her.
Stuck in a dead end job at the gallery, Allie Sharpe dreams of becoming a successful photographer. Having to fill in as a drinks waitress instead of attending the opening as a guest sparks rebellion in her heart. She is wary when Logan makes his move but feels an undeniable attraction. Maybe sex with a stranger is exactly the sort of fun she needs.
A hot night together leads to their lives becoming entwined as Punch Sound’s European tour looms. Allie is faced with a choice – to chase her dreams by Logan’s side and risk having her heart broken, or end it now while the sensual glow still lingers.
Punch Sound. Four sexy rockers, as hot off the stage as they are on it.
Strum Beat is another quickie that turns into so much more. Logan is the guitarist for the band Punch Sound and after an altercation with Max his lead singer over a woman (this scene is in Max Rock, book 1), Logan is on the hunt for one of his own. Blondes are his go to but a pixie little brunette has caught his attention at a gallery opening the band has been hired to perform. Allie is an assistant at the gallery but is put into service as a waitress for the catering company when they are shorthanded when she meets Logan, who comes to her rescue when a glass of wine spills all over her. This book is more like a fantasy come true - Nobody girl meet rock star - has sex immediately and rock star changes her life for the better. Most read rock star books for the escape, so I say just go with it.
Logan is a hot rockstar who is also the bad boy of the band. He takes a shine to Allie which is reciprocated.
I liked the story but didn’t love it. I like more emphasis on the characters with some back stories that needed to be told. Allie seems estranged from her family but why? Logan is the bad boy but why?
Enjoyed to a degree. Would read the next if I see it written and published.
