**** Don’t miss this brand new 50,000 word novel in the His Mate series****
Celine, matriarch to a family of witches, had finally twisted enough arms to get them all to agree to holiday together in the mountains. Little did she know that shifter wolves resided there, and the consequences that would bring for her family. It wasn’t even Spring and yet mating was in the air.
Dane thought he’d seen everything, but nothing could prepare him for the sight of five witches rolling into town. His brothers wouldn’t be best pleased, especially the alpha, Scott, and he’d tried to warn the wicked witches off, but they hadn’t listened. Now the fur was really about to fly as mates found mates, and wooing was the order of the day.
Witches, wolves, and an unholy Vampire are about to get the shock of their lives as the normally quiet and peaceful mountain range becomes the battleground between the sexes, and species.
First off, this book was really funny and a joy to read. What a concept! Witches mating with wolves! BUT the writing was atrocious! There were run on sentences, choppy sentences, words used in the wrong context (main instead of mane), etc. Did anyone proofread this book???? I think that the writer is creative but please, get your books proofread!!!!
This book was a good story of she only wrote one story. She wrote from 8 to 10 different POVs. It was so confusing and felt like everything but the kitchen sink has a voice... This should have been 4 or 5 different chapters. That should have been labelled so the reader could keep up with the POV..... Disappointed......
Almost no plot line. Lots of growling but no character building. All the men and women are interchangeable. Could have been cute with the interactions, but sadly disappointed.
3.5 I liked The shenanigans, it made me laugh. I really liked the sisters. Really would have liked to see the mates separate. We don't get to know the Guys. At least we hear from the gran and the mom some about the girls but I would have liked to get to know them individually and as mates. That took away from the story; There were grammar issues sometimes I had to figure out what they were supposed to be. Also, there were times we jumped to another person not part of the mates and I was like wait who is Janet? Because when this person spoke it didn't let you even know who it was one minute the group is talking then this Janet speaks I was thinking did she mean Jessica? But then we learn someone else is there now. I would have actually liked to have seen the mates woo them not just fall together. To rushed.
Contains sexual content. 5 witches go on a vacation in the mountains. Grandma, mom, and 3 adult daughters. Now, all five of these ladies are not afraid to say what's on their mind or give you a zap if they feel you need it. When they get to their rented cabin, they are treated by Dane who is a wolf shifter sent by his pack to see who is near their pack lands. Well, witches do NOT particularly like shifters and Dane is not at all happy to find out one of those snarky, stubborn witches is his mate. This book has me laughing from start to finish with the antics of this family. These siblings are super funny, grab is hilarious! I loved the story and will be reading the next one. This is a great opener for a new series. I think any adult reader would enjoy this book! RECOMMENDED
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Imagine a family of 5 witches on a vacation together in the mountains, technically to practice the craft. Not realizing they rented a house on pack land. The grandmother, her daughter and 3 granddaughters; 1 vampire; and of course 4 pack wolves and their alpha. Yep, you can't go wrong with those odds. I laughed, and fell in love with all the characters in this book. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I totally recommend this series.
Light, amusing, totally readable, messy story, but I did smile a lot
Too many key characters all at once, 5 witches and a pack, not enough details to really get to know the characters cos far too much ground to cover to get this story told. Mad as it sounds, for a werewolves and witches based story, this one wasn’t very credible. I’m hoping the next one builds on these characters and any new ones are given proper space and coverage. Lots of fun moments, so it did make me smile, which is why I’m going to giver book 2 a go.
I liked that all 5 witches met their mates. There was an issue with editing which I don't usually mind but it got to the point of being annoying. It is the only reason I took off a star. Alright with that warning, the story itself was great. Gran was a hoot and loved the interplay between the sisters. It was nice that Mom found her chance to be free to move to the next phase of her life. I do so love this author.
Five witches, five wolves and a vampire. Loved this story! A fun and funny multi generational story. A family of witches head to the mountains at the insistence of the matriarch, for some family bonding. Of course grandma neglected to check the area for pack before booking. Everyone finds a mate, except for the vampire. The witches have a spell for that. Abi and Luke were my favorite. I loved Luke!
4 STARS this Paranormal Romance is a great little group of 3 romance stories that are funny, tender and surprising. Get a full of wolf shifters who find out their mates are witches. I really enjoyed these short stories. WARNING 16 & Up SEXUAL CONTENT: Yes
Its been awhile since I've read one of her books. They have changed slightly and thats what I was hoping for. We still see the same snarkiness and the same general ideas. This however, was a delight because it included mates of all ages. New and different and enjoyable.
Oh so likable characters and such a fun story! Had me laughing and giggling as Fate had it's way with the family of witches. I would definitely recommend!! Totally worth your reading time!
It would have gotten 4 stars. I tried to look past the errors in the book, but there were so many I couldn't ignore them, it is an editors nightmare. The ending was too abrupt. Other than that it was a decent book.
I chose 5 stars because the story deserved it actually if it was up to me I would of given it 10 stars and 2 thumbs up ! All the characters were believable in my mind and to me that's a must......Bravo ! Bravo ! Bravo !
I enjoyed all the shenanigans but I think I would have liked individual stories better. I think the brothers were interesting and would have liked more back story. I still liked the book though.
Love love loved this book. Got some looks busting into laughter in the waiting room but who cares. These five witches are so cheeky and the family love is a laugh a minute. Off to download the rest of the series i can't wait to see what happens next....☺
Not as great as the synopsis makes it out to be. Only good parts I'll say it'd be is when all the witches & their mates are together, separates, not so good. Also the howling & everyone trying to figure out who mated.
The witches were just too bitchy, could not stand them at all. I did not finish this book as it jumped around to much to follow easily. Was not funny at all, tried to be, but came across as just annoying.
Could have been more detailed and even give books. Five witches mated in one book to give wolves lacked depth. It was a skimmed version of what could have been a great series. Wish you could get to know the wolves and their witches.
Felt very familiar so probably read pre-goodreads sign up. Very confused in the beginning with so many names and pairings. Fun and ridiculous, pretty much enemies to lovers throughout. A grandmother, mother and three daughters. The bickering and stubbornness did get a little annoying but I did like the overall story.
Funniest damn book I have read in a while. I cried laughing. I almost rated it lower to four stars do to it needs some edits, but over all its a great read if you are feel down and need a laugh. I will definitely be re-reading this book.
I really liked this concepts and it was really funny, but I was left with the feeling that non of the stories were really finished. Also, there were definitely some grammatical issues.
