One Noble Truth

Rate this book
In Medicine of One, Clay Lomakayu, invited us to travel the path to the Center of the Self, which was born out of his own spiritual journey and working with clients helping them do the same. In One Noble Truth, Lomakayu focuses on what it means to live from that Center. From here we are a beacon of peace, harmony and balance through the action of compassion which when we stand at the Center begins with our self. This Living at the Center is the greatest gift we can give both the world and ourselves. By doing so we become a channel through which the infinite creative mind expresses itself through a very personal uniqueness that we all are. We honor the Oneness we share with all life, but at the same time we honor a beauty that we each shine onto the world. "This is another one of Clay's books that you can pick up and randomly point a finger to any page, any paragraph or any line and find a pearl of wisdom that speaks to you in the moment."

Filled with wisdom and hope

This book takes you on a journey to find peace and acceptance of who we are and what we truly seek. The concepts are beautifully laid out in a natural and easy to follow manner.

From dealing with childhood trauma to just realizing wants and needs as an adult the author gently guides us yo acceptance and provides the mind set to change our victim mentality. I gained so much from this book even though the processes are an ongoing journey.

If you are living with unresolved issues this book will certainly assist you.

Clay Lomakayu's One Noble Truth brings forth the idea that the key to finding personal peace is to connect with the true center of one's self. The philosophy that anyone can find their true, eternal happiness and freedom within themselves isn't a new concept but this plain language guide to the lifestyle is actually refreshing and inspiring. Descriptions throughout the book are detailed and engrossing, drawing the reader slowly but deeply in. Before you know it, you are actually feeling more calm and somehow the writing style accomplishes this.

I really fell into the book and it's teachings when talk of Circles came about. Whether it be physical or metaphysical, the subject was so simple yet so all encompassing. I particularly enjoyed the stories of native tribes and the idea that man is intrinsically linked to the Earth. The concepts of good, evil, darkness, love, fear, and trust are explored and the multitude of ways they all influence each of us is fascinating. This is a self help book with heart.

“The mystery in me, honors the mystery in you” I Love this!

I love this book! I didn’t know much about shamanism when I got it but it seemed interesting so I tried it out. There is much truth and wisdom in it that it will be a keeper on my kindle, and I’ll definitely be coming back to reread ever chapters. So far my favorite chapter is chapter 11, regarding self love! Sometimes I struggle with this myself. Sometimes it really is hard to look past my imperfections and truly love myself for the honest and loving woman that I am. But this book reminded me how important it is, and gave wonderful advice on how to successfully do so. This book also addresses confidence, courage, and faith just to mention a few of the subjects. Clay Lomakayu definitely knows how to drive his points home in an eloquent and well written fashion. I find myself imagining his voice as I read the stories. I highly recommend this book!

One Noble Truth is a book about a man who suggests that the cure of everything and of every possible problem in the world is by finding and discovering the center of ourselves. When we discover how to establish a contact with the center of ourselves, we will find eternal peace and we will be free.
Well, it depends on the reader whether he believes in such things or not because the novel has many things connected with spirituality and the “everlasting and infinite’’ (I so do not like these words) wisdom and power that lies within every one of us.
The novel is rich with parts regarding shamanism, worshiping of spirits and other spiritual things that ancient tribes of our planet did in order to become gods. The novel is written in clear language, which is logical thing because the author wanted for as many readers as possible to read it and to start practicing its teachings.

If you are looking to calm yourself, connect with your spiritual side, or just enjoy some lighter reading, I would highly recommend this book. The answer to most of our problems is hidden within yourself, even though you may not realize it. Even if you have strict beliefs and do not really buy into One Noble Truth, I personally enjoy reading alternative perspectives, because I think it gives us a greater understanding of those around us. If nothing else, it can give you a chance to reconnect with your personal spirituality, and reaffirm your beliefs and your connection with your surroundings. There is some educational value to this book as well, as it does include some ancient beliefs and sayings. It is easy to become focused on material things and lose sight of the true meaning of life. This book will remind you to appreciate the truly important things in life.

Live from the center
The author is drawing from traditions of shamanism dating back thousands of years in order to enlighten the reader. “The land of my Circles is a land resonant with 12,000 years of human history. Before the Yavapai and Tonto Apache lived here, it was the ancient land of the Hopi…The wisdom of all these first peoples exudes from the land and joins with the Eastern traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism in my circle…” This is a very thoughtful, philosophical book that attempts to draw the reader into the safety and security of the circle: “When you live at the center of the circle of who you are this circle is connected to the whole world without separation. This means by living from this center in your own immediate everyday world, a vibration ripples out into the greater world to keep it in balance and harmony. This is the best thing you can do for the whole world.”

This is a wonderful resource for helping you to really get to know yourself and help you start on an important journey towards peace and personal freedom. I felt like it was very unique compared to other self-help books and I truly enjoyed this read. I think there is just so much that you can get out of this book. The whole concept is to get in touch with your center of self. Achieving that is the key to all sorts of positive things in your life. This is a practical resource to help you to free yourself from stresses and harmful habits and get yourself on a good and positive path to living the life you want to live. Clay Lomakayu wrote this book in a strong tone that makes him feel like a trustworthy leader helping you make progress on your path. I loved this book and consider it very valuable, although it isn't for everyone due to the strong spirituality aspect of it.

A guide for understanding how to become at one with your life.

This book makes a lot of sense. When we take the time to connect with the earth and our inner selves, everything seems to slow down. Things don't seem as awful and the world starts to make sense.
Most people struggle to get through each day and end up medicating themselves into Oblivion each night only to repeat this self destructive behavior over and over.
Clay offers the reader realistic tools to help break this cycle and find ways to your personal circle. It never was easy for me to set aside time to meditate until reading about so many beneficial reasons for making it a priority. After just a few days I started to feel more connected to my little part of the world.
Maybe there really is something to spiritual energy and self healing.

A self improvement book

This is a book about examining yourself from within and developing the skills and inner strength to make the adjustments needed to correct the path of your life. Also described as medicine of one, this book will make each person who picks it up think about the spiritual traditions across the globe and methods to continue down the right path. This is a good read for anyone looking for self help therapy or looking to improve your life through the guidance of this method. I found the information to be interesting and the book did keep my attention throughout the read.

This book is about self-growth and finding your center. Author Clay Lomakayu takes the reader on a journey to find a deeper understanding of yourself. The key phrase that sums up this book to me is "Living at the center of your own personal circle of self". The voice of this book is very strong and distinct, making you feel like you are being taken on a journey by someone whom you know. The writing was very beautiful and you can tell that Lomakayu is very passionate and informed in the subjects that he is talking about. This was a very inspiring read and I would highly recommend it.

This is a book of healing, but do not expect the traditional way of healing as we are accustomed to. There are words and sentences in this book just like in any other, and they have a rationale behind them. The point, though, of the book is not to get an understanding of what causes trauma in the psychiatric or the pharmacological way, but to feel the ease of the pain and the trauma leaving your bones as you go through the pages and flow through the words.

Words can hurt worse than a knife cut. “One Noble Truth’ does the opposite - it mends cracks and hollow spaces where you didn’t know you had them by gently caressing you on your way to the Center of Yourself and the Noble Truth by words with healing power. Clay Lomakayu has written a book from a shamanic perspective. Sometimes, people cringe on the word getting needlessly cautious and aware. The first reason for doing this is that we are all full of content based on the rational and scientific concept of mind characteristic for the today’s civilization and ignorant of the shamanism potential. The second is because we have abandoned parts of ourselves forgetting the wisdom of the body and started inflicting wounds on our wholeness.

If you try to approach this book rationally, you will fail. But, if you start reading with the heart, and not with the mind, you will slowly sail adrift cocooned in the natural wisdom, which is a precious collection of intuitive, primal, and indigenous understandings collected and kept well in the collective archetypes, and reach a heaven where you feel much better than when you took the journey.
Great insights about very difficult subjects, such as death and terminal illness, and about the interconnectedness of everything, - the realms of nature, Earth, consciousnesses, and with the womb where we all come from as humans.
