After 500 years, spirits freed him from under the mountain, and given a chance for redemption, and ordered to accompany a pilgrim who traveled in search of wisdom and faith. Thereby pilgrim was Anti-Mage, who has vowed to put an end to any magic. Sun Wukong protected him throughout the journey and once when they were attacked by robbers, the Monkey King killed them, which caused outrage Pilgrim, who at that time opposed the killings. After this, Anti-Mage gave Sun Wukong headband, which for the most part was needed for its control, so he could not kill anyone, even the evil spirits.
